It's a season later in 'Bad Day in Hazzard'. Homer and three townsfolk are in his shop when Boss is forced to make his evacuation broadcast on the radio.
You could try contacting Jim85IROC. He's building four different R/C versions of the General at 1/10 scale. His Radio Control Dukes cars thread mentions printing his own decals (and 3D printing parts).
Welcome to HNet, MoonRunner.
Andrew D Charger Chaser's My Ultimate General Lee build in 1/25 thread has a couple of pictures of him making the antenna near the bottom of the page. There's also a scratch-built CB, but no close-ups or construction pictures. I don't think Andrew's been around here for a while - hopefully he'll be back soon.
You surprise me. I thought it would be High Octane, Follow that Still, Days of Shine and Roses, the Legacy or something with a moonshine theme. Never waste a sip!
You were lucky you had them on tape. I remember how tough it was having to wait a whole week to see them again. It reminded me of when I was younger and the sad feeling I got Saturday afternoon, knowing I wouldn't see another cartoon for a week. When Enos's series came out I was excited to get 2 Dukes shows in one week (even though Enos wasn't a Duke). Eventually Dukes reruns came out on cable and I had a friend who lived in town record it on VHS. I still have them all even though I only use my DVDs.
You are right. This is a great episode. There is a lot I don't like about modern times but you are correct that it is good that we have cracked down on drunk driving.
Homer Griggs' store just kinda popped up out of nowhere since Rhuebottoms has always been the place to go. But in the Georgia episodes they even showed a Western Auto hardware store. I bet every town had one of those.
