    Shot phone

I don't know anything about cell phones but that does sound bad. My wife just bought me a cell phone. It's the first one I've ever owned. I'm not real interested in it but she wants me to take it with me when I go on walks in the woods. She also wants me to carry it when I get my new dirt bike and go on adventures. Good idea I guess but I still am not a big fan of cell phones....and I refuse to become a slave to it like most people are. Good luck fixing your problem Skipper.

Yesterday, Haas decided to sack Nikita Mazepin and sever ties with his father's company which was their title sponsor. F1 has not only cancelled this year's Russian Grand Prix, but also the contract for future races which were due to move from Sochi to St Petersburg in 2023.

It certainly sounds like it's time to change. Did you get a smartphone, Roger? With your needs, a rugged, waterproof dumb phone might fit the bill better. Having said that, you can't check HazzardNet on a dumb phone!

    NASCAR news

It always used to appear that NASCAR teams had unlimited tires. Have they recently started limiting them or has that always been the case? F1 teams often have to put on used (or scrubbed) tires, but they've probably only done a few laps, and even the softest compound normally lasts at least 1/3 race distance.

Here we shot up above $4 a gallon overnight. It was in the $3.40's last week. The morning news showed a gas station in California was at $6.95 for regular but they have a special blend and pay the highest state taxes on fuel. We were thinking about getting out and doing some road tripping this year now that most of the Covid restrictions have been lifted but if prices are going to be above $4 or possibly $5 looks like we'll just stick close to home. It turned out to be the Crankshaft sensor on my car. They also changed the fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body. And luckily while it was there the brake line bursted. They were moving it out of the shop when it happened so they replaced that too. Glad it happened there instead of when one of us was driving it. Total bill was $450. Feeling better this week. Took a Covid test and it came back negative. Lost my voice for 3 days, wife enjoyed the quiet . Throat still hurts a little and nose is still leaky but at least the sinus pressure is gone. Hope everyone has a good week.

Las Vegas was another race where the David's almost beat the Goliath's. Ross Chastain led the most laps and won stage 1. His car was strong throughout the race and ended up finishing 3rd. Kyle Busch came from last place to almost winning in a backup car after wrecking his car in practice. A late race caution caused by something breaking or a tire going down on Erik Jones car causing him to almost collide with the pace car near pit road exit. He was having another great race up until that point. All the lead lap cars pitted for newer tires, only one team had a new set left. Tire wear was a major issue as all but one team ran out of new tires and had to make due with tires not completely worn out during the race. The teams that took two tires came out of the pits ahead of Kyle Busch. It was a side by side 2 lap drag race between Alex Bowman and Kyle Larson with Alex winning at the line. Kyle Busch gave a rare mature post race interview on Fox but later threw his typical tantrum interview calling Bowman an "all luck, no skill" driver. Alex and his pr team took that and ran and now have a shirt for sale on his store with proceeds going to animal shelters https://abrinc.shop/collections/t-shirts/products/pre-order-all-luck-no-skill-las-vegas-win-black-t-shirt Top 10 1 Alex Bowman 2 Kyle Larson 3 Ross Chastain 4 Kyle Busch 5 William Byron 6 Aric Almirola 7 Tyler Reddick 8 Martin Truex Jr 9 Chase Elliott 10 Christopher Bell

Sometimes living in a suburb that allows certain farm animals has its days... Yesterday while going to check the mailbox I seen a black chicken or rooster chasing one of my neighbors into their car . By the time I got back to my place to get my camera it disappeared. We have these condos next to the apartment complex so I'm guessing it came from over there.

  12. sorry to hear about that! Around here, I wouldn't have a nice car! It's too dangerous....takes people 2 spaces to park, stop lights and stop signs are optional ( if you don't want to stop...don't!), and " I " always have the right of way! They're still arguing about what that mirror ,hanging from the ceiling, over the dashboard is! I can't tell you how many times, people have pulled directly in front of me ! It does keep your reflexes sharp though! You learn not to assume anything! ( e.g. " They see me", " They'll stop!")

I hope it's not too expensive or there'll be something broke behind the wheel as well!

I saw that on the national news. As long as you've got your DOH videos and your electric is still on you'll be fine. Keep us updated .

Dang Mother Nature can't make her mind up, high 30's yesterday, high 50's forecasted(possible new record high) for this evening and 20 degrees for tomorrow. Got the new battery put in Tuesday, let the mechanic handle that since the wife's car is like the Enterprise D from Star Trek Next Generation. Then went to the store to buy new wiper blades only to find out only one brand would fit without spending half an hour fiddling with an adapter, thank you gm engineers for making even the easiest things to change a pain in the butt chore. Of course only one auto store in town carried them besides the dealerships and they were about the same price as the dealership minus the installation charge.

Our fuel seems to have gone up about 5% in the last week. I filled up on Saturday at €1.88.9/litre, which comes out at almost $7.80/gallon. There were reports on the radio of a gas station somewhere in Ireland charging €2/litre ($8.25/gallon). How are you guys doing?
