  1. The house from The Waltons appearing in Dukes is mentioned in the Hazzard Square thread. If I remember correctly, it was in the trees at the north of the Warner Ranch. I remember researching the location, but I'm not sure if I ever posted it. The Waltons episode 'The Townie' was partly filmed on Midwest Street aka. Hazzard Square. You can see pictures here and here (both in the Hazzard Square thread). The Duke Farm and Boar's Nest appearances in Knight Rider are covered here and here respectively in the Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch thread. Indian Dunes, with a mention of Knight Rider, is discussed here in the Hazzard Square thread (there are a couple of broken link in this post that I'll need to try to fix). Knight Rider also filmed at Saugus Speedway, which featured is several Dukes episodes including 'Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough', 'Hazzard Connection' and 'Carnival of Thrills'. There was also a Knight Rider episode, 'Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death', which featured an orange '69 Dodge Charger that ran on moonshine. You can see screengrabs in The Dukes of Mexico thread.

  9. Mr. Puckett Luke: Are there any volcanos in Hazzard? Bo: Not since Mr. Puckett blew his stack when I brought his daughter home 2 days late from the hay ride". * This is also one of those characters that was mentioned but not developed. e.g. Widow Baxley ( Whom I personally think was purposely named for Paul Baxley!)

  14. This project is like peeling back an onion with the amount of details- every time I get one layer done, I noticed another layer of things in the same pictures I've been staring at for 5 years. Its weird what you DON'T see when you are looking for something specific. I just noticed the other day that the back door has a door closer thingy at the top. After doing a quick google search for some reference, I find it is in fact called a 'door closer', and the one in question is a 'vintage' style. Its one of those every day objects we've all seen a thousand times in our life, but never focused on. Fortunately for me, a 'vintage door closer' is shaped awfully similar to a piece of plastic model kit sprue in 1/25 scale! Then there are the fan belts: turns out that 1/25 fan belts are pretty much identical to small hair 'elastics' (discovered thanks to my two daughters!). The bad news: they only had rainbow colored ones. The good news: found a package of 500 in black at the dollar store for... one dollar. Felt a little weird buying them as they are apparently made for African-American folks' hair, so I got a coke and some peanuts to draw attention away from it.
