    RIP Turk from "Enos"

I don't think 'Enos' was ever shown over here, and I've only ever seen a few grainy clip on YouTube, so I didn't put two and two together when I saw an article titled Samuel E Wright: Tributes paid to actor who voiced crab in The Little Mermaid a couple of days ago. It doesn't mention 'Enos', but as well as voicing Sebastian, Samuel apparently had a very successful stage career including playing Mufasa in the original Broadway production of 'The Lion King' and was part of the original Broadway cast of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' in 1971. Speaking about his part in 'The Little Mermaid' in Entertainment Weekly in 1991, Samuel says "Sebastian has given me what I've always wanted as an actor, and that's immortality. As far as I'm concerned, that's why I'm in the business. I want the whole world to love me, remember me forever." RIP. Samuel. The article says his death came "after a three-year battle with prostate cancer".

  3. (Season 2 Officer Daisy Duke) Cooter:"Uncle Jesse, they're gonna keep an eye on Daisy. But who's gonna keep an eye on them two?" Uncle Jesse:"Well, who do you think, dummy? Follow me." Cooter:"Who's gonna keep an eye on us?"

  4. It was probably due to having to add/shed weight or muscle for another role in either a movie or play he was in while not filming Dukes of Hazzard. He was in two tv movies in 1984 which were probably filmed in 1983.

  5. I'm surprised "Good Ole Boys" didn't make the list. I have heard that some have heard some of the lyrics wrong.

  6. Ina, you keep reminding me of other German groups I know. Münchener Freiheit (known in the UK as just Freiheit) had a #14 hit in the UK in 1988 with 'Keeping The Dream Alive': I have to agree with the YouTube comments (from the original video I posted) - the vocals are almost a cross between some of Paul McCartney's solo work and ELO. Like Trio, Freiheit are also thought of as a one-hit-wonder in the UK. Maybe if you guys spoke English more often ... .

  7. Oh boy, I almost like all kind of music all over the world, there are few I really can't stand, because in almost every music section (is that the right word?) are at least 1 or 2 songs, that are good. I just can't stand german folk music and Free Jazz... That hurts my ears. But then again, I found out at the World Soccer Championship in 2010, that even in the folk music section are some songs that can be mere fun, if you listen to them at the right place and the right time, with the right people. XD I don't think that I would ever listen to the Flieger-Song (Such A Beautiful Day - WM Version) on any other occasion. XD What I hear most of the time is Neue Deutsche Welle (New German Wave, pop/punk from the 80ties like Nena), German Punk music, Punk in general, if it doesn't hurt my ears and is somewhat melodic, Ska-Punk (I really do love the turkish Ska Folk Punk Band Athena and the Moldovian Ska Folk Punk Band Zdob si Zdub and the japanese Ska Punk Band Shaka Labbits), Irish Folk and other music that sounds similar, James Horner and Soundtracks in general, J-Music and Visual Kei (and there are really some strange bands, that I do like XD) and then what I hear on the radio and what I do like. And then there are my favorite bands, it started with Nena in 1982, then it was Duran Duran, then A-HA, and it's the Beach Boys since 1989, after I did see them Live at the Lorelei. All other bands I consider my fav bands are my fav bands next to the Beach Boys. Like the Ramones, The Beatles, The Stones, The Clash, The Smiths or my fav japanese bands Merry, MUCC, Shaka Labbits, Gargoyle and the Sex Machine Guns. Pretty much ain't it? A girl I know from the biggest german youth board, were I do work as a moderator once said to me that she can't focus on so many music styles, therefore she only has one fav band and really does only hear this one band, which is Tokio Hotel. I would go insane if I would be forced to hear just one band all the time. I would't even do that with my alltime fav and especially not with a band like Tokio Hotel. I guess I would jump out of the window, even though Bill Kaulitz sings: "Don't jump"...
