Lots of people around here still leave the keys in their cars, not so much with all the meth/heroin problems, but definitely common place to leave your keys in the ignition when I was a teen (90's). So I imagine it was even more commonplace to do so in the late 70's early 80's in the rural south.1 point -

It was Dorothy Collier. She appeared as Sherry Tolliver in the 1979 episode 'The Rustlers' (S02E03), and married Jimmie in 1986. Janeen Best, Jimmie's daughter from a previous marriage, is now known as Janeen Damian. Her IMDb page includes credits for her as an actress, writer and producer.1 point
