    • The F1 championship is probably going to look quite different after today's Brazilian Grand Prix, but first the sprint race and qualifying. Championship leader Lando Norris took pole for yesterday's sprint race with rivals Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen in third and sixth. Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell were second and fourth, and Fernando Alonso put his Aston Martin in fifth. The track was wet from earlier rain, but all drivers started on dry weather tires. The top four got away in order, but behind them Max made up a place and Lewis Hamilton made up three from 11th. On lap 6, Oscar had a spin and hit the barrier, followed by Nico Hulkenberg and Franco Colapinto all at the same corner. That brought out a red flag. Lando held first at the restart to the checkered flag, but came under pressure from Kimi in the last few laps. Behind them, Charles Leclerc got past Fernando for fifth. Local driver Gabriel Bortoleto had a bad crash with about a lap to go, so the race finished under a yellow flag. Lando's win increased his lead to nine points. You can see the highlights here. In qualifying for today's race, Red Bull tried to improve their performace from the sprint race, but went backwards with both drivers out in the first session. Max and Yuki Tsunoda will start 16th and 19th. Lewis Hamilton was eliminated in the second session and will start 13th. Lando was quickest in all three sessions and will start from pole. Kimi, who was runner-up in the sprint race, will start in second with Charles in third and Oscar in fourth. Red Bull's junior team, RB, had a much better qualifying with Isack Hadjar in fifth and Liam Lawson in seventh. Oliver Bearman also did well with his Haas starting eighth. Qualifying highlights are here. It may be tomorrow before I get to post the race review.
