*sighs* As some of you may know I was I'll for a little while, once I recovered I was overjoyed and unfortunately not long after, I heard a family member was rushed to hospital and sadly has passed away, It couldn't have come at a worse time and it has hit the family hard, I could sure do with some good news at a time like this... Thanks, Joe

I just heard that we lost a member of the Dukes community. HazzardNet member Dale The Bold passed away on Sunday. Folks all across CyberHazzard loved Dale's sense of humor and the contributions he made to the fandom. Some of you might not have had a chance to get to know him here, as he's been absent for some time. He'd been fighting cancer the last few years. I think it's fitting to share the last post he made here. It shows the creativity, humor, and talent Dale possessed. You'll be missed, Dale. http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5577

Hey y'all. I was cycling home from my friends house earlier after staying the night. The route I take is about 5 miles, and I travel on a main road, a few country roads with grass in the middle and a rutted track. It was raining hard, and I was probably going a little too quick for the conditions. Anyway I was going down one of the country roads when I clipped a pothole with my rear wheel. This caused the back end to slip and spin, and I ended up with the General Lee's front wheel and forks resting in a muddy ditch. Initially I had trouble breathing, but I just assumed that I was winded. However when the winded sensation didn't go away I started to get worried. I called …

Breaker breaker, how 'bout ya Hobie, ya got yer ears on good buddy? Startin' to worry a little bit here.

  5. About ten years ago, I came bounding onto the HCSD, with my pigtails and ranger hat on. Today, I rarely make a peep, and many know why. I have a good reason for my silence however I have and will never truly leave. Recently this past June, I got married and I now live with my spouse. We are happy and had a beautiful wedding. All the while before I met him, I came here, to Hazzardnet. I met a wonderful group of friends. I wrote Dukes of Hazzard fanfic with many of them. We all became close. I still call many of those folks my friends and they have given me so much friendship and love over the years, even in the time that I started to pull away from the computer and started…

Somewhere amongst the 168,000 posts in this forum is a birthday thread for Val. I'm sure of it. But alas! I cannot find it, so I'm starting a new one. I know we don't see much of you now, Val, but you're still thought of. Hope you have a great day! How 'bout some chocolate cheesecake to celebrate? Boy that looks good all nice and big and detailed like that.... YUM... Khee!

It's been a rough week. We lost our dog Sadie suddenly and unexpectedly this week. She was the light of our life and to say we're devastated is an understatement. As Jimmie told me, there are no words in the English dictionary or anywhere else to describe the pain of losing a dearest pet, and he's right. We're simply lost without her and the house seems so empty. No whining when it's time for dinner, no tail wagging when we get home, no howling at the doorbell when someone's at the door. Rest in peace, baby dog. We miss you so much.

This is Troy. We adopted him today! He's a yellow lab/basset hound mix, looks like he might have a little beagle thrown in. We call him a labradasset. LOL. He's certainly living up to his basset heritage right now. He's been snoozing most of the day after bringing him home. Probably all that stress of being in a shelter and traveling. He's a very mellow fellow, very cuddly, and so far, very quiet. He's made himself right at home on our old couch and he's welcome to it. (I think he's already figured out he's going to get spoiled.) I think Flash would certainly approve of this little guy.

As we take that pause for reflection between grocery shopping and Christmas shopping that we call Thanksgiving...I thought it'd be a good idea to share what we're thankful for. Share as much, or as little, as you'd like. Who wants to go first?

Hey guys, I put this here, because we are all family here in Hazzard and we care about each other. Has anybody heard from the Muffin'? I haven't seen any posts by her or anything. I sure hope she's ok and hope she knows she's missed! She's very popular on here and we enjoy having her as our Supreme Superior Commander! Come Back Muffin"!! We love you!!

Happy Birthday, Roger. I do apologize for being a little late - even with the reminders you gave us, I'm still finding it hard to keep track of what day it is at the moment. If it's any consolation, a friend of mine is 13 days older than you, and I was a couple of days late with his birthday wishes too! I hope you both get a chance to celebrate properly when the lockdown is over.

  15. Started by RogerDuke,

I'm starting to get concerned here. How many days has it been now? Maybe he's doing the same thing my nephew did 35 years ago, went into a tool shed to play hide and go seek without telling anybody he was playing hide and go seek and then fell asleep. I just realized something. If we don't have a moderator watching over us, we can party all we want....and even say bad words without getting in trouble. I'll start with the first bad word....revenuer.

  16. I am wondering if there was any other choice for the General other than the Charger. I thought I heard someone say that they were considering a Trans am.

Years ago Hazzardnet had an official Birthday Thread going but I don't know whatever happened to it... So I think it's time to start a new one! Of course we all know last week was our favorite Deputy's birthday, and we did have some fun wishing her a happy birthday on the thread set up for it, but why do we need a new thread every time someone wants to wish someone a happy birthday? Today we have two birthdays to contend with. Those birthdays are: HazzardE4, who has turned 24. We haven't spoken, and he/she doesn't seem to post much, but happy birthday none the less. K-Duke15, who has turned 15. She is a new friend of mine, and seemingly a good writer. I quite enjoy talkin…

Ok, so, as you can tell by the title I have some good news and bad news, first the good news!, it my birthday today!, and now the bad news, the gods of fate have decided to send me a stomach bug as a present, hopefully I'll recover quickly so I can get back to the normal life, I've been going through a lot of stress at the moment, so I'll be laid up for a few days watching the Dukes. Thanks, Joe

I decided I might as well poke my head in and wish everyone a happy holiday season. Life has been crazy for the past year and a half to two years. What's everyone thankful for this holiday season? Heres mine: A little over a year ago, I had a major change which surprised me. About 5 or 6 years ago, my mom told me one of hers and her now fiance's friends was interested in me. I didn't believe her and made up a few excuses about why I wasn't interested (I was actually interested but didn't believe her. My self esteem wasn't the best among other reasons). I honestly didn't believe it until late August or early September of 2018, when he…

I just reread the Tragedy in My Life thread that I started last summer and it reminded me how lucky I am to have found this place over 17 years ago. I thank God for my family here. When my (step) daughter helped me find Hazzardnet in March 2007 it was the first time I ever used a computer. And to this day it is the best reason computers even exist. Good luck finding a better website in the world. But this isn't about tragedy or computers. It's about love and family. I now have 15,000 posts. Yes, I am bragging. But I am also complimenting every one of you. If you weren't such amazing people I wouldn't have stayed around so long to accumulate such a number. And I woul…

Hi y'all.* Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I've been really busy with school exams and studying and things like that. I'd just like y'all to take a minute to remember a teacher who I had last year who unfortunately passed away the other day. Orlaith Donahue, was my religion teacher for part of last year. She had finished her teaching degree in 2011. It was always her dream to work in Terenure College, where I go to school. She had extra Irish classes with one of the teachers in the school, and was passionate about religion and teaching. Her dream came true over the summer months of 2011, when Orlaith was offered a permanent job as a religion and English teacher in Ter…

  23. Happy birthday to Boss JD Hogg who shares a birthday with Boss JD Hogg. It must be pretty fun to share a birthday with your favorite character. I wish my birthday was May 11 like Jesse. We appreciate all you do here Boss. You are a great ambassador to the show and an even better representative to that lovable scoundrel Boss Hogg. If you can pull yourself away from cheating widows out of their pensions, come to the Boar's Nest tonight, water down the beer and tip a glass with us....and charge us ten dollars to get out.
