I know I haven't been around much lately. I've been dealing with medical issues that have become serious enough to require surgery, so I'll be away for a good part of the rest of the month recuperating. I'll be checking email occasionally after my surgery, so if there are any issues with the site or anything that needs my attention, please let me know. If new folks sign up, I'm sorry if I don't approve your messages or un-moderate your account in a timely manner. I'll get to it when I can. I'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers . -Mufn

It's 3:20 AM as I type this. No sleep for me tonight. My only child was killed in a car accident just a few hours ago. This is truly the worst thing that has ever happened to me. She had just bought her first house and had only lived in it a week. She was only a few hundred feet from pulling in the driveway when a young man in a pick up truck came racing from the other direction passing 2 cars in a no passing zone and hit her head on. He wasnt hurt bad and got out of the truck before it exploded. She wasn't killed instantly but died before right after the ambulance arrived. My life has been turned upside down.

Okkkaaaayyyy people, big announcement here!! My best friend in the whole wide world, and I do mean that literally cause she lives in America, and a person more like a sister to me than my own sister is has just a few hours ago gotten engaged!! Of course, the guy she's engaged to not only loves her to pieces and treats her like the star of a person she is, he's also a huge Dukes fan AND owns a General Lee!! They even met at 2008 Dukesfest!! I'm so happy for her and I did get her permission to post this before she could , I just wanted to wish her and Steve all the best in their future life together, she deserves everything that's coming her way now after a very difficult …

Happy Sadie Hogg Day Everyone! In locals other than Hazzard, I would also like to wish everyone a happy APRIL FOOLS DAY! But seriously, in Hazzard, as per the TV series, today is Sadie Hogg Day... This is the day that the men take the day off and the women take over. Anyone want to paint the patrol cars Pink? Purple? Anyone?

Hey y'all One of my friends recently asked me to go with her to her debs (the Irish equivalent of a prom). We're really close and have both agreeded not to become boyfriend and girlfriend incase we end up fighting and falling out. Anyway my problem is that I won't be 18 when the debs is on. We both thought that the age wouldnt matter, but now the parents association and venue staff are saying that all people under 18 must be out of the venue by midnight. Apparently I'm going to be one of the only if not the only 17 year old there (most will be eighteen and a half, some even nineteen). We first started jokingly saying that I should get a fake id of some kind, but now it…

Is it just me or does it seem like we're drifting apart a little bit here on the HazzardNet? I suppose it's only natural. Families tend to do that in these busy times. But it's about time we reversed the trend. Starting Thursday Sept 1st we are going to be holding a monthly chat room meeting to keep better in touch. It's not going to be easy considering we have folks in Europe and folks on the United States Pacific Coast but we just can't sit back and see ourselves drift apart like we've been doing. I'll post a reminder a couple days before every month's end. Then, on the first day of every month, I'll be in the chat room at 7:00 pm EST hoping to talk to some of my Hazz…

Hey y'all. I'm not sure if many of you saw my last thread about donating part of a liver to a cancer patient. Well truth be told that question was acually about me donating part of my liver to my granda. He was over at my house on the 7th of march for my birthday, and felt fine. The following Monday he was short of breath whilst walking from the hospital parking lot to the hospital entrance for a routine checkup. The doctors kept him overnight to do tests to see if they could figure out what was wrong with him. I don't think any of the family, my granda included, wee expecting him to be diagnosed with secondary liver cancer on wednesday the 18th, more than a week after …

I would appreciate if you folks could keep my family and especially my dad in your thoughts and prayers. He's he in the hospital right now. This is his second visit this year. He's undergoing a lot of tests and as you can imagine, I'm worried about him, especially since I can't travel to see him at the moment.

OK guys, how about meeting here Sat. at 11:00 A.M. Central time and we can watch Mary Kaye's Baby? Me and Roger had a big ol' time last Sat. watching " Daisy's Song". It was a really good time! I figured we'd have fun but it was even better than I thought! I'll be looking for my fellow citizens of Hazzard, Saturday at 11:00 A.M. ( Central)

There seems to be a trend here to post stuff that is a little bit edgy. That's no surprise since the world seems to have gone crazy. Since I have been part of the problem I really am not worthy of acting like Uncle Jesse and getting everybody back it line with a gruff authoritarian voice so I won't...... but I will say this: While I may be tempted in the future to post stuff that displays my anger about insane current events I will not anymore. This website is one of my favorite things in the world and I don't want to ruin it by being part of the problem. From this point forward I pledge to return to the fun that the HazzardNet is intended to be. After all, HazzardNet mig…

I know I don't visit here often anymore. Real life has certainly gotten in my way this year. But every time I do visit, I'm glad to see you guys keeping this place going. I just wanted to say thank you.

  17. Link - New England Dukes Website Link - Paul Harrington's tribute to Glenn I met Glenn, his mom, brother Edmund at 05 Dukesfest through another DOH friend. Saw them and Edmund's kids at 06 Dukesfest. Amazing family to spend time with, I wish everyone could have meet them all! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they deal with the loss of their loved one. RIP Glenn.

It's Thanksgiving here in America and most Americans would agree that we sure have a lot to be thankful for. Of course not everybody on the HazzardNet celebrates because not everybody here is American. There's this feller named HossC who lives across the Big Pond from Hazzard County. For those of you who don't know your geography, that's so far that not even the General Lee could make that jump. Hoss might not be from America but his heart is in Hazzard County Georgia like the rest of us and we're certainly thankful for him and all his contributions here on the greatest website on the internet....and his contributions are MANY. So many in fact that he has achieved legend…
