Fan Art

Do you draw? Paint? Sketch? Have you done DOH themed artwork and would like to show it to other fans? Then show it here!

  1. Started by HossC,

I've recreated a couple of signs from around Hazzard, and will post them as they get finished. Most of the signs on the show were hand-painted, so I'm just getting as close as I can with existing fonts. I've posted the Boars Nest sign in another thread, but I've now added the signs from the walls as well. For those of you wondering about the 'GOOD EATS' sign, it was only on the original Georgia Boars Nest, and did not make the move to California. Below are pictures of both to confirm this.

  2. Started by HossC,

I'm breaking two rules here: one of HazzardNet's and one of my own! I'd promised myself that I would try not to create any more threads in 'Fan Art' (I figured I was being greedy), but here I go with a new one. Not only that, but the artwork isn't even related to the Dukes of Hazzard (I hope the mods will be gentle with me ). Seeing as I had updated vector art for a Dodge Charger and a '68 Mustang I couldn't resist the urge to do this project, so I'm kicking off this new thread with the two cars from possibly the greatest chase in movie history. If you haven't guessed, it's 'Bullitt'. The baddies had the black '68 Charger (I had to change the front end, rear end and side …

Hey y'all I haven't been feeling great today and had to go home from school early. I was ready to fall asleep until my head hit the pillow,at which point I was wide awake. After about half an hour of useless tossing and turning I gave up on sleep and began to doodle. Gradually the doodle grew until this appeared It's what I think of when someone mentions Dukes to me. I would have included the cast in the picture but I'm rubbish at drawing faces. Then I drew this Sorry for the blurriness but that's the best shots I could get

  4. Here we go again! After Cooter's Garage, the next natural place to stop in Hazzard is the Boar's Nest. Like the garage, this is such an iconic location that I had to do this one the same way- detailed inside and out. I'll keep posting more as things are completed. 5. As a side-bar to my 1/25 Cooter's garage model, I put together this little display for the 1/64 DOH diecast cars. Its all a cardstock model with the exception of the landscaping. Still a work in progress- I'll continue to add some details and tweak things. -Mark

  6. Started by HossC,

Just finished my version of Daisy's 1971 Road Runner. Technically her car was originally a 1974 Road Runner, and the later car (as depicted here) was actually a Satellite painted with the '74's Road Runner stripes. Like with the General Lee artwork, I've taken a bit of artistic license here. I've added Road Runner decals to the grille, trunk and stripes, and since I haven't found a clear screen grab of the actual wheels, I've fitted it with period Mopar wheels that it could have left the factory with. The white letter Goodyear Polyglas GT tires are also my addition.

  7. Started by HossC,

Regular visitors may have noticed that I haven't posted much artwork here lately. Hopefully this should explain why. The artwork below started out as a re-creation of the Hazzard Theater sign for the Signs of Hazzard thread, but grew into a monster project encompassing a whole block of Hazzard Square. After completing the theater sign I added some background and got carried away. I've tried to be as accurate as possible, with some details only clearly visble in a single episode. I also had to allow for the fact that some of the details change constantly, so what you see here may not exist together exactly like this in any single episode. I originally wanted to put more de…

Some drawings 'bout Enos and Daisy, imaging "hidden" scenes in the show. Just added a new album (Fan-art) on my page here on Hazzardnet. (I hope) More drawings coming soon.

  9. Started by HossC,

After watching 'Reunion', I couldn't resist having a go at the infamous '00'. I've not taken as much artistic license with this one, the chrome around the wheel arches and white letter tires are my only additions. The flames on the front fenders are copied directly, but I couldn't find a clear shot of the flames on the hood, so I had to improvise a bit - all of the replicas I've seen seem to differ in this area (my 1:18 model was no use at all). The license plate was too blurry to make out, so I left it blank - if anyone knows the correct license plate, please let me know so I can add it in. Now I have the basic shape of the '68 Mustang, I might have a go at Lucifer .

  10. Started by HossC,

I thought this one was going to be easy after doing Double Zero - how wrong I was. There are quite a few differences, but it was much quicker than starting from scratch. Most of the changes involved removing trim, with only a few bits added. This one is pretty true to the original - no artistic license with this one. These wheels are also the ones that I should have put on Daisy's Road Runner. The Crane Cams logo appears at the beginning, but gets painted over before the race. There also appears to be something painted over near the tail lights in some scenes.

  11. This is the beginning of a larger project- basically a model of a model. This is to figure out if this scale is good for the eventual project to see if its big enough, etc., but its fun to see Hazzard Square in 3 dimensions even in this monotone form! To answer the inevitable question, its made from printed designes mounted to foam core and assembled with hot glue. (cat inserted for scale)
