We lost another great figure in Hollywood and country music, Buck Owen passed away at age 76. He was on Hee Haw with Roy Clark. He wrote many famous tunes such as 'Act Naturally'. Many pop singers also sang his music. Buck you will be missed.

Burt Reynolds passed away today. He and Jimmie were close. I still remember at Jimmie's 75th birthday, he was surprised by a video birthday message from Burt (and Paul Newman too). It was so thoughtful and great. He'll be missed.

Very sad to hear that Rick has passed away. I would have loved to meet him and get an autograph. He was only at Cooter's Place just this past Sunday. Rest in Peace Rick (Cletus) I hope you're with the rest of the Dukes cast that has gone over the rainbow bridge.

Simon MacCorkindale, known better by Dukes fans as the conman that assumed the identity of cousin Gaylord Duke, as passed away. Unforutnately they refer to the "Duke brothers" as opposed to the Duke cousins.

Country singer Toby Keith has passed away at the age of 62. He had been diagnosed with stomach cancer back in 2022. For Dukes fans, he was also appeared as himself in the 2000 TV movie "The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood".

Get ready to call him the "25 Million Dollar Sheriff." James Best is suing Time-Warner/Warner Bros over unpaid royalties. Best claims he was owed 5% of all Dukes of Hazzard merchandising revenue for stuff that contained Sheriff Rosco likeness. By his estimates/his attorney's estimates, that could have been 5 to 25 million during the Dukes heyday alone. Best has actually collected something around $175,000 for this stuff in the last 30 years. Hey y'all. I'm not sure if y'all have heard of Rusty Cash, one of the, if not the best and most well known Boss Hogg impersonator. If any of you were ever at a Dukes event and there was a Boss Hogg character, chances are it was Rusty. Well unfortunately, he was rushed to hospital earlier. His wife Dana announced this on Rusty's Facebook page earlier, and left a message two hours later saying Rusty was in surgery and it wasn't looking good. The playstation network if anyone has the PS3 like I do I just downloaded the whole 1st season! They got 2 episodes in the wrong order too! One Armed Bandits is put as episode 2 instead of one and the same for Mary Kayes Baby is episode 1 when it should be episode 3! anyone have a PS3 on here?

I just saw something really cool. I was watching CNN just after 4:00 EST and they were talking about Obamacare. (I'll be really careful to not bring up politics since that's against the rules). Boss, Rosco and Flash have made it into the hallowed halls of the United States Congress. Republican Phil Gingrey from the great state of (you guessed it) Georgia had two huge posters of Boss and Rosco w/Flash while he was talking about health care. Well We won!!! Warner Brothers is now saying the Confederate flag is going to STAY on the General Lee and saying the original story was"inaccurate" about banning the flag from future model kits or Die cast. Sounds to me they are just covering their arse from a potential big boycott and loss of possible revenue judging from the outcry on the net IMO.
