Everybody needs to take the time to read the article from the Wall Street Journal that's posted here. What Warner Bros. is doing to the General Lee is a disgrace and an insult to every fan of The Dukes. Think about it...Who in the heck are they trying NOT to offend? The people who WON'T be going to see the movie ANYWAY??? We, the real fans, will once again be the victim of political correctness...If Warner Bros. does what the article says it will do then I say BOYCOTT....They sit out there in California and call us a bunch of racist hicks, apologize for the Battle Flag on the General Lee, and THEN want our MONEY!! Jay said Willie Nelson is singing the theme tune. (The one that sounds the same as the tv theme tune from the tv show, not the rock one by cage 9. ) and that he is also the narretor. I think after seeing the trailer that he is re-doing the theme tune. I still could not be true.

I watched the dukes on tv and didnt even miss one episode,i was hooked :-D.Now about this new movie well nothing will beat the original show but all i will say is this,it will be a good perv to watch daisy (jessica) .. and it would be nice to see the old general getting airborn again....(lets hope theres alot of that). sadly many of our luisiana cusins (and many on the golf coast) have nearly lost every thing. It makes me realize the things that are taken for granted in life. This tradgic event is truely devistating

Personally i don't even wanna see it cuz i know i'll hate it. i don't like it when they take a perfectly great show and switch the characters. they also change the whole idea and they way everything should be. not only that but i've heard that the movie is nothing like the real DOH. I hear Rosco doesn't do the Kew Kew Kew thing and the General Lee's doors are'nt welded shut!!! i saw that Boss is'nt fat and the characters look nothing like they're supposed to!!! anyway as you probly figured out by now i really dont think much of the movie and i love the original DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the new cast will bring the original classic feel from the show. Johnny and the um... (i forgot his name) (Bo) i dont think they will be very good for the part, but i still want to see the movie to see how it turns out. Jessica is questionable she kinda looks the part (attractive) but her reputation just makes me wonder. on the other hand Willie Nelson I think will make a perfect Uncle Jesse......... Last night I saw club dread , suposidly a comidy but really a horrior flick by Broken Lizzard blood drougs sex nudity and cuite chicks all walle trapped on a island I thought the most casting was pretty good MC Gainey did a good job playng hank ( a very serious charactor) The new rosco might be more like Big ed little or Sherriff Emmit Lumis Spike of hatchipiee county than ol bumbiling in cohouts James Best But then again a low budget actor that no ones ever heard of..... mabe thats why he wasn't in the traller.......or on the website

Hey Ya'll I have been reading many posts about movie script ideas and I have to say that you guys have some great ideas. I have to say though that I really would like to see the original cast in the big screen version of the movie. My concept would be that If WB insists on new faces as the lead characters, the original cast should be written into the movie to "pass the torch" to the new cast. Now I still believe that there is no real way to replace the original dukes, but if it must be done the only way I can see it on film in my eyes is by passing the torch to the new cast.

Hi just found out about the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Was a big fan when I was a kid. Have enjoyed some of the tv shows they have made into films. Not sure when they finish filming but I have been living for the last few months in Sydney Australia enjying the Australian summer and getting away from the Uk winter and I found out That Willie Nellson will be on tour in Australia in Feb. Maybe he has finish his bit in the film. Anyone know anything about his part as Uncle Jessie.
