I am a extra in the Dukes of Hazzards movie and I would like to say that they shot in Zachary,LA behind the new Chillis Monday and Tuesday. Thursday and today they have been shooting at the corner of Scenic Hwy and Choctaw. Saturday Jessica Simpson for sure will be at the Clinton parade and they will shoot a couple of extra needed scenes to link in the Cooters Garage scenes. Any one know where you could buy the the movie DVD before DEC 6. A cuple of weeks ago someone was selling a overseas version Ebay. The cover had Japinese subtitles on it E bay removed it for copyright issues.

It seems as though rumor has overwhelmed most of the locale postings; here's the truth: Yes, most of the filming will be completed in and around Clinton, LA (when I say around I mean right outside of town). Some is being wrapped up North of Zachary / South of Jackson (chase scene where the cars run through a barn). Most chase scenes are done on Overton-Ford (gravel) Road outside of Clinton. NO filming in Ascension Parish at all. Yes, the Boar's Nest is in Livingston Parish at a local watering hole. I don't think the new cast will bring the original classic feel from the show. Johnny and the um... (i forgot his name) (Bo) i dont think they will be very good for the part, but i still want to see the movie to see how it turns out. Jessica is questionable she kinda looks the part (attractive) but her reputation just makes me wonder. on the other hand Willie Nelson I think will make a perfect Uncle Jesse......... Since some of us can't be "True" DOH fans (unless we are fanatics ) if we want to see the movie and judge for ourselves. This isn't asking if you are going to buy it, just see it. You don't have to like what they are doing and the movie will probably be not on par as the 2005 movie because of the budget. Everybody needs to take the time to read the article from the Wall Street Journal that's posted here. What Warner Bros. is doing to the General Lee is a disgrace and an insult to every fan of The Dukes. Think about it...Who in the heck are they trying NOT to offend? The people who WON'T be going to see the movie ANYWAY??? We, the real fans, will once again be the victim of political correctness...If Warner Bros. does what the article says it will do then I say BOYCOTT....They sit out there in California and call us a bunch of racist hicks, apologize for the Battle Flag on the General Lee, and THEN want our MONEY!!
