I thought I was goin' to take a pause from fanfiction, feeling I had no good or new idea, so avoiding to become repetitive. But... The Story of Us explores the history of Enos and Daisy from age 10 to the beginning of the series. It is mainly from Enos' POV, though many parts are from Daisy's POV, and delves into events from his childhood that shaped not only the people they came to be, but their relationship as well. The Story of Us is also the back-story for the novella, Beneath a Hazzard Moon, but both can be read as stand-alone stories. The Story of Us can be found here. This story is for the "Cliche' Challenge" (and also the "Christmas Challenge", but I think I'm about 6 years too late for that one). What else could be more cliche'd than a parody of the timeless classic "It's a Wonderful Life"? In this case, Daisy gets to see how the lives of those around her - and even Hazzard itself, would be different if she'd never been born...and perhaps learn a thing or two about herself along the way. So I've started this new story. It can be more indepth with the Dukes. It's has the main character be around the Dukes more than my other stories. It also deals with things that do involve the Dukes. Head trauma and its consequences is a cliché very over-used in TV-shows: a lot of characters went through a head trauma causing them amnesia or a personality's change? Well, I started a new fanfic 'bout this cliché, but trying to give it a new perspective: what if the character suffering the head trauma doesn't loose his memory but ... he gets new memories, changing his way to relate to other characters? Hi everyone, this is my first Dukes of Hazzard fanfic. There's so little Enos fanfic out there and this story just called to me. "Beneath a Hazzard Moon" is probably one of the more serious and darker of the Hazzard stories you'll find. I like to take comedies and explore the more serious side of the characters – giving them challenges where they must either sink or swim. I've just started writing fanfic recently, and it seems I'm incapable of writing a story that's shorter than a 300 page novel, but if I keep getting feedback, it will definitely be finished.
