It's that time of year, when stuff starts to fly south. Like, our server. If you've experienced slow loading times on any of our pages, we apologize. We've been aware of the issue and are taking steps to resolve it. We have a server migration scheduled for this weekend. It's possible that there may be some temporary downtime of HazzardNet in the process. Hang in there, and we'll have all the scuffs and dents hammered out before ya know it. The current version of the forum software will no longer be supported by the end of the year. I'm planning on upgrading to the next version before then. I'd like all your input on when the best day of the week/time I should do it and do you think a) the sooner the better or b) wait until later ? Looks like it will overall be a better experience and it looks like they have a mobile app too.

A lot of folks help keep an eye on this place, and sometimes we're not recognizing them like we should. Tonight I'm givin' a big ol' HazzardNet Hollar to Val Strate, for reporting a spammer in our Forums. Val, thank ya for finding the problem and going the extra step of notifying us about it. Sal-ute ! Now that we have a new forum and can do such neat things as add smilies and avatars easily, I'm putting out a call for folks to nominate and/or submit smilies and avatars for inclusion in our forums for everyone to use. One good place to find smilies is http://www.mazeguy.net. If you find one you like there, simply click on it, copy the code they provide in the box above the list of smilies and post it in this thread for us to take a look at. I am in the process of making some avatars for everyone to use. If you're graphically inclined, feel free to offer some of your own creations for others to use. The chat room has been integrated into the new forums. Just click on the "Chat" option in the forums navbar and choose to chat in a forum web page or have the chat room pop open in another window. You can view how many people are chatting in the upper right hand corner of the forums under the Private Messages listing. Have fun chatting!

In case you missed this on our homepage, or missed it on our facebook page, or you're not reading this either, CMT is airing 8 hours of The Dukes of Hazzard on Tues, Feb 28! Starting at noon Eastern, check yer local listings! There's a rundown of the scheduled eps on both the above locations. We're happy to see CMT airing the Dukes during family viewing hours! Even if it's just for a day. Meanwhile, CMT is also airing the Dukes at 1 and 2 am during the weeknights, and they're about to roll into the first season again. Howdy y'all! Well I dunno about y'all but I'm tired of seein' that the most users ever on HNet was 35, set back in February of 2005. So I'm issuing a challenge to all our users out there! Every night this week I wanna see as many users as possible here at HNet. I know most of you visit the place in the evening hours so I'm gonna set the time between 7 and 11 pm. Grumble, grumble. I know you guys haven't seen me around much lately, but I've been here, in the background, putting out fires and restarting the server a bazillion times (it seems). So, if you've smelled any smoke around HazzardNet, that was me! LOL. For quite some time, I've been trying to track down some issues with the new server that have been driving me nuts. If any of you notice any slowness on the site, error messages, etc, please post about them here. If you can PM me and copy/paste any error messages you get, I'd appreciate that, too. I *think* I may have fixed the latest issue that was filling up the hard disk with errors (fingers crossed), but I'm not sure yet…

Someone, who shall remain nameless unless they want to reveal themselves, has graciously paid for HazzardNet's hosting this month via the Ko-Fi widget in the right sidebar. I did, however, create a new badge that I will give out to everyone who contributes. Would anyone be interested in having episode watch parties? I can't promise any sort of frequency, but I would love to re-watch the series again with you guys. I'm having trouble. I can't get into the new posts on the latest posts, New Posts section. When I click it, it takes me to a blank page. I can't see the latest board. I have no problem getting on to any other part of the site! It must be a glitch in the system!

Please do not post the same thing in multiple topics. Pick the topic best suited for your post and post it there. Duplicate posts just make the forums messy and harder to find things. I don't know about @HossC, but I hate cleaning.

Some of you may have noticed HazzardNet was down for a few hours today. The database wouldn't come up. Fixed it though. I bet Enos unplugged something important to plug in the coffeemaker. He didn't even leave me any donuts from the Busy Bee.
