The General Lee

Just asking if y'all have seen any cars resembling the General or Dixie or whatever. I had a couple such incidinces Once me and my mom were driving home and i looked in somebody's driveway and i saw a red-orange . . .I think it was a Dodge Charger and on another occasion I saw a black and white one in my grandma's trailer park. I usually hate Orange cars, but i told my mom the other day. The General is like the only orange Car I like. (Mostly) So any y'all had some odd sightings?

I found this whilst looking around the web, and can't see another mention of it on HNet. An artist created his own 'General' by glueing over 4000 model cars to an old Ford Capri. Being British, he put a Union Jack on the roof instead of the traditional confederate flag. General Carbuncle

I know at one time the General Lee was black. What episode was that. I have got the season one disc set but no black General Lee on it. Someone let me know whren it was black.

Hi, I've probably not been on here for over 2 years. As far as I know there's only 1 genuine studio car on our 'side of the Pond' It's owned by a chap called Peter Nelson who has a museum in Keswick (pronounced 'Kesik'), which is in Cumbria (referred to by us Brits as 'The Lake District') I've seen that car, & it's reputed to be one of the 'chase scene' cars, with the 440ci motor http://www.carsofthestars.com/ If you look at the 'Vehicle Index', he's got some wonderful motors; - the original 'Mad Max' Police Interceptor - Batmobiles (Adam West, Micheal Keaton, & Val Kilmer) - Flintstones - LOTS of 007/james Bond vehicles (including the DB5) - Herman Munsters …

i have been wanting to paint my bike like the general for a loonng time now. when i was little my old bike was painted like it but we didn't spend a lot of time on it, we just used blue letter stickers for the "General Lee" and put white paint pen around it cause we knew i would outgrow it someday. but now, i want to do my bike like it again. it has been just plain orange for a few years now and my dad finally found a buisness that makes smaller decal stickers. and he was wondering if there are any kind of copyright laws for the "General Lee" and "01". i don't think there are with all the general lee's out there, but he told me to find out just in case so we aren't doing…

As many of those cars that got jumped and wrecked, surely, surely, some how, some of them have survived, and not been fixed, and some guy somewhere, has a wrecked one on his property somewhere, he tells a story like "this one was used in the jump in episode blah blah...." Surely, theres a guy like that somewhere, who has as wrecked General Lee, just one of the many random Chargers, painted up like the General Lee, and then jumped, and then scrapped. I assume, they used parts from some of them, and many were sold to junk yards and or whatever the case may have been....... but, surely, some have survived and are just sitting around somewhere, wrecked still from the jumps?…

in the first 5 episodes of the dukes of hazzard the general has a small pushbar with Georgia syle letters, then when the show goes to california it has a small pushbar with california style letters, then in the episode goodbye general lee it has the big pushbar with the califronia syle letters

I just realized, there's no thread for bloopers with the General Lee (if there is, I don't know where). Now I have come across pictures with bloopers in them: Case and point there is a picture of the General Lee somewhere with the 01 backwards. It has a cast member standing infront of it. Somehow, I wonder if it was a publicity photo (those General's actually didn't have the numbers on them) who someone tried to fill in the numbers and had dyslexia or something. Now on to what I noticed today. I just finished watching 'Happy Birthday General Lee' and I caught something peculiar when they did the junk yard scene where that worker is being grilled by those two criminals. I …

Does anyone know what type of engine/transmission that the General was supposed to have? I know that the Duke boys built an engine and then found the Charger to put it in, but what was the make/displacement of it?

Is there any episodes that does not have the General Lee in?
