Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

at portraying Bo and Luke John and Tom Seann and Johnny Jonathan and Randy (Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning) which has not been released yet

I would like to be either the 3rd Duke boy cousin or Cooter's employee to help with the cars because he got too busy to handle it himself. Either way, I'd like to ride a super fast motorcycle like a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 or 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 that could out jump the General by a long shot. I'd have the Confederate flag painted on the bike's gas tank. I would have grown up in the big city-Atlanta-and have tattoos, long hair, and listen to rock and roll. And if I was Cooter's employee, I'd like to become Daisy's husband!!!

Well, this being a Dukes of Hazzard board, I figured I'd ask . . . Who is y'all's favorite Dukes of Hazzard character? As for me that is a hard question because I love about everyone on the show, but if I had to order them, here is how it would go: 1. Bo Duke 2. Luke Duke 3. Jesse Duke 4. Rosco 5. Cooter

I started season 5 not too long ago and I've noticed that Cooter is missing from several episodes in the early middle of the season. He is explained to be on vacation but why was Ben Jones not present for filming?

Is there a story behind this? I have always guessed that maybe they decided that the car was redundant, being basically the same thing as the General Lee, the only real difference being the body panels. I have also thought that maybe they decided that having off-road capability (4WD Jeep) in the family's car stable could be beneficial to future storylines. Another thing about that car; at what point did the idea that the car belonged to Daisy come into being? How many times has he landed his butt in the Hospital their were 3 injury episodes " Brotherly Love , Goodbye General Lee , and In this Corner Luke Duke . I ain't wrong here it seemed to me that because he was the lead Character that he would suffer most of the serious injuries not that I didn't enjoy seeing him lying in a hospital bed Unconicous he looked so hansom even though he was hurt what are some of y'all's Opinions about this ? and which ones are your favorite Luke Duke injury episodes ?

I was just wondering why all the cousins live with Uncle Jesse? What happened to their parents??? I have always wondered that!

I notice they do that a lot, and don't see anyone do this in real life until a couple months ago, I seen seem teenagers sitting on the car door. I used to do that sometimes until my Dad said it looks silly, and isn't polite or something like that.

What is it about a show from the 1980's that appeals to today's generation ? granted I'm a second generation fan, I find Dukes funny entertaining and better than anything out there on t.v. today.how do Y'all feel about the Dukes, what's the show mean to you ?

Why is it that Roscoe was replaced from time to time? I don't think they ever gave an explanation as to why in the show and I haven't been able to find anything online that gives a good solid answer. Also wondering if there's a list anywhere about the 'guest sheriffs' that subbed for Roscoe. Didn't both Jackie Gleason and the Louisiana Sheriff from the 70's James Bond movies come thru?

Hey y'all I was watching Witness for Persecution earlier and noticed a couple of flaws in the slaw. The first is when Enos pulls up at the Duke farm to talk to Bo and Luke. As he pulls away the camera pans out to a wideshot of the farm yard. Anyone notice anything at the right of the screen? The second is when the two hit men are backing out of the tunnel. There's a brief shot of the interior of the car. Anyone notice anything in the background? I am 33 years old. And I still recall my first exposure to the Dukes TV show. I believe I was 6 years old. I think The Incredible Hulk was still on. My mother was watching the tube when I saw a colorful racing car jumping. It was bright orange; had the lettering of "General Lee" on the roof; a Confederate flag on the roof and the numbers "01" on the doors. At 6 years old, I was just enchanted by the car. Hi ya'll! Just came up with this for fun. You know you've been watching Dukes of Hazzard too much when... 1. You call your best friend a dipstick. 2. Your boss is your "little fat buddy." 3. There have been various on PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, handhelds and such, but if you've played any which would you recommend? We'll probably never see a new Dukes game or the series released on Blu-ray because folks nowadays get all offended over the flag that's on top of the General Lee. And if he doesn't have it, he ain't General Lee!

Of all the episodes, I think he came closest on " The Duke Scam-Scam" There are one or two others that came pretty close though, so, just my opinion. What do you guys think? Hey! I know! Y'all... On YouTube, when uploads are made, I wonder if Jack Himes is TV Stunter? Because the individual Dukes of Hazzard Seasons 1-6 are TV Stunter. But the giant compiled list Seasons 1-4 together that is like 600 something videos is by Jack Himes. But the videos say TV Stunter on them. Is it possible Jack Himes is the real identity or that it's a separate person and the list has TV Stunter because the content was originally uploaded by that name?

Y'all should check out this guy's channel. He made a great point about the reason he thinks the show is not allowed to be on in reruns anymore. He thinks it's not only the flag fiasco, but the positive message the show puts out as a whole. That message being the government doesn't want its people to know that we can stand up and fight for what's right against a corrupt system. I whole heartedly agree with him!
