Dukes of Hazzard Episodes

I can't remember where you put your stuff about the other people in Hazzard, Roger, so I'm just going to put them in here when/where I can. I noticed that there are a LOT of other people in Hazzard! It's like its own world, in and of itself! Robot P. Coltrane- Bo and Luke are looking for the 2 criminals who stole the robot and they find their hideout at Dean Clancy's huntin' shack. I believe this was the only time Dean Clancy is mentioned. This shack is also the place where Bo took Lucy May last summer! I don't know if she was ever mentioned again either! So...Dean Clancy and Lucy May....2 more members of Hazzard County that we don't know much about!

Here's a couple tough ones for Hoss...or anybody. 1) Who does all the talking about the upcoming episode before the opening song? 2) In the scene with Lulu where she has the gout at the end of The Rustlers is that an old picture of James Best on the wall?

For Sunday April 5th's watchalong, we've picked 'Deputy Dukes' from season 1. To open it up to members in Europe, the start time will be 9pm CET/8pm BST/3pm Eastern/2pm Central/1pm Mountain/12 noon Pacific.

On Saturday April 4 at 8pm (US Central Time) we are going to be watching Limo One is Missing. We will meet on this thread and start the episode together on each individual's DVD player and post our thoughts about it. It would be nice if someone else could join Hobie and I. Maybe Hoss could pick an episide and time for Sunday and we could make a weekend of it. Hoss?

Since Uncle Jesse celebrates his 100th birthday this year (Denver Pyle born May 11, 1920) and since I am now the same age he was when Dukes debuted and since I'm retired now and have more time I'm doing an episode review. I will watch the shows in order, make a few comment and anybody who wants can add their thoughts on that episode. We should wrap this up before the year ends.

I'm slowly working my way through watching the Dukes of Hazzard seasons with my 8 year old son. I swear I remember an episode that the shoot the bow (possibly with dynamite arrows) WHILE they are airborne jumping the General Lee.... I want to say it was a Coy and Vance episode....I also want to say a water tower was involved... I'm not having any luck so far... Does any of that sound familiar to anyone ? Thanks

This one has Coy and Vance on it. It also has a mistake that I just caught ( I'm watching it now!) I bet nobody spotted this one! When they took Jessies' bridge to melt it down and make real gold to fool boss, Before they did it, they talk about where to get gold and Vance said Uncles Jesse had a gold bridge that was in a drawer for 2 yrs. Coy and Vance haven't been in Hazzard in 6 yrs. according to Daisy, in " New Dukes", so how would he know about the bridge or where Jesse put it?

Why wasn’t The General Lee on S1 Ep. 3?

Right now, I'm watching the boys try to capture "public enemy one through ten", on " Deputy Dukes!" ….one through ten...lol...always thought that was funny! He was a lot of man, if he occupied the top 10 criminals all by himself! LOL!!

I wasn’t sure if this is the right place to bring up the first reunion TV movie, or not...but the other ‘movie’ thread looks to be mainly about the 2005 feature film, and not the “real” Dukes. Anyway, just watched Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion (1997) last night. I remember watching both this & Hollywood when they first aired—probably still have the VHS recordings of them boxed up somewhere. Out of both reunion movies I like the Reunion one best as it still takes place in Hazzard & Uncle Jesse is still around. But, the only 2 issues I have are the General used & the end...where at the last second Daisy backs out of the wedding & dumps poor Enos—again! …

I’m sure this has been brought up before, but I am currently watching the episode Happy Birthday General Lee right now. We all know the General Lee was a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (although all models of both 69 & 68 Chargers were all customized to be the General for the show). However, in this episode (7th Season premiere—& directed by Tom Wopat) the old-codger junk car dealer tells the gold dust robbers that the Duke boys bought the...wrecked black “68 Coupe”, when they break out of jail & come looking for it. But, why did he say that?? The old black Charger the robbers first drove then Bo & Luke buy wasn’t a 68, it was a 69 like it was supposed to be...so…

I remember watching this episode when it originally aired and I was growing up...I like spooky/scary stuff, so this is one of my favorites of 3rd Season! But, the old “haunted” mansion used looks familiar...like I’ve seen it on another show and/or movie. Does anyone know if it was showcased in anything else?

Just watched A Boy’s Best Friend last night. I remember this one from when it originally aired and I’ve seen it probably once since. Cute episode with the “Flashes”. But, I’d forgotten that they’d overdubbed Danny Cooksey’s (Terry Lee’s) voice, with what sounds like a creepy grown woman trying to sound like a little boy. Why?? I’ve never understood that...he was a child actor and did many other projects—& his voice wasn’t “strange” or off-sounding at all. Why would they need to dub it with someone else...especially with how bizarre & fake it sounded? It actually kind of “throws” the episode...with what otherwise might have been one of the most heart-felt ones.

Hello... Hoping someone can help me figure out the episode when Boss uses a trick wooden box to make it look like Bo and Luke stole money? I believe it was Boss Hogg and a Priest pass around a charity fund box at the Boars Nest, there is a lever that makes the inside of the box flip so it looks like the money is gone. I can't for the life of me remember what episode this is... Thanks for helping me figure this one out!

This may have been posted before, and if this is information brought up before I apologize. But, I remember watching this episode when it originally aired when I was really little, and I have seen it several times in reruns and on my DVD set a few times. And all the times I have seen this episode in the past, I have never noticed a possible goof with Luke getting back into the General Lee. But, I am watching this episode again right now and I happened to notice that when Bo and Luke are trying to help Uncle Jesse get back on the right road during the race with Boss, involving the detour sign—I swear it looks like Luke gets back in the General...and closes a door (in…

My vote for the funniest scene of all the funny scenes, is when Daisy is going to marry Jamie Lee Hogg and Rosco and JD are talking about it and one of the funny things said is that those Dukes will be my Hogg-in-laws! LOL!! There are many funny things said in this one scene, that make it my favorite! What are your favorite scenes and why?

Was watching this episode the other night, and I started to wonder about Uncle Jesse‘s and Boss Hogg’s age. In the beginning of the episode, they were supposedly watching old home movies of moonshine runs from the 1930s. Yet, Denver Pyle who played Uncle Jesse was born in 1920. And at one point the year 1932 was mentioned...yet he’d have only been 12 years old in ‘32. In the old home movies he and Boss looked to be about 30. In reality, Denver Pyle was only about 59 at this time. Was the character of Uncle Jesse supposed to be a lot older? With the white beard Uncle Jesse looked older, but boss didn’t necessarily look older than about late mid to late 50s. Yet he and Unc…

Ok, I know it's one of the later episodes, what did everyone think about "Strange Visitor to Hazzard"?, if you haven't watched it, to cut a long story short an alien comes to Hazzard and Boss and Rosco want to use him/her (was never clear on that) as an attraction to bring tourists into Hazzard. Oh and two guys who are on the run for holding up a church bingo game try to take over Hazzard using the WHOGG radio station (I think that's the name...), anyway that's all from me, 10:4. Joe

Anyone know of any episodes in which the CB radio is visible in Boss's car? I've only got a closeup view from "The Late J.D. Hogg" when he tore out the wires. I'd especially like distance shots (not closeups of the radio itself) showing how it would have been mounted, i.e. on the seat, in front of the seat, on the trans hump, etc.

OK guys, I got one for you. In this episode, when the Jethro brothers are talking to boss about how much they will pay him to help them, get the turbo charger, boss says, or so it seems, " $15,000 coin of the realm", which is a common phrase meaning the money that is made and spent in the current government, but look closely at his mouth and the words he forms and listen very closely and it sure seems like he's saying " $ 15,000 corner to the rim". Which, if you think about it would also make sense, because it ( whatever the matter being discussed is) , is being taken from the corner of an object to the rim of said object. I'm watching one of my DVD's and it has " Brotherly Love" on it and I'm avoiding it. I think it's goofy and Luke's " Brother" ( it just seems fake....no where was he ever mentioned...kind of like Coy and Vance....!!), is one of those episodes that I don't like. I Remember, we had some talk about episodes we don't like or like as much......this is one. This guy is goofy looking, with those sun glasses and that big grin...... all teeth! Does anybody know if the end credits scene (cop car chasing The General around in circles around trees) was ever shown in an actual episode? I'm assuming it would have been from Season 1, and most likely post-Georgia judging by the California-type scenery. Thanks!

I think I already asked this but I've looked for it and can't find it. I know either Roger or Hoss will be able to help. ( You guys amaze me! ) What episode is it where Uncle Jesse tells the boys that they'll have to " Make it up on the road", talking about lost time. ? Thanks again for your help!
