I think it's still possible that Andretti Cadillac could enter F1 in 2026. There are some upcoming rule changes that come into effect for that season, so F1 was dubious that they could develop a car for the 2025 regulations and then a new car for 2026.

On Dirty Mo Media's Door Bumper Clear podcast they talked about some Cup series garage rumors. Kaulig Racing and Trackhouse are rumored to be in talks to merge for 2025. Stewart Haas Racing is rumored to dissolve and sell everything, I could see this happening. Gene Haas is spending $$$$$$$$ on F1. Tony Stewart is busy as a team owner and driver in NHRA. That happening would give Andretti Motorsports an easy in road to NASCAR. They were thinking about it a few years ago but the deal fell through. And with the rumor of Cadillac coming to the cup series that would work since F1 voted to not let Andretti Cadillac play in their sandbox.

Ever notice how often the kit vinyl tires come nice and glossy, when the real ones are usually quite the opposite? A good treatment of sandpaper all over helps, then later a scraping of the tread through sand-dirt outside the front door. The wheel hubs are painted, then detailed including a light wash of watercolor sludge with soap to make it stick.

Here's the next problem: The Aoshima Super Beetle has the super-modern dashboard and steering wheel, while both the Revell kits had the older, classic style dash and larger wheel. Which to use? I sorted through all the footage I could from all six episodes it appears in, and almost no clues....except a couple views like the one below. Definitely the classic dashboard. Looks to be the large wheel, I'm mostly certain. Had to widen the classic dashboard to fit the wider Super Beetle, though.

Bo and Cooter high five. Now they talk about Amy Creavy's ex mechanic/boyfriend Turk. Turk likes putting nitrous oxide in cars getting drivers disqualified. Francis Lee Olmstead(Frankie for short):"I wish we could handle Turk that easily." Bo:"Well don't worry about. We will, when we find him." Frankie:"Find Turk? You don't find Turk! Turk finds you!"

I'm sorry to hear your guy lost Roger. That is always disappointing.

Cloudy last night so no northern lights. Not much of a Mother's Day around here. We won't see any mothers or kids today. My wife's mom died on Mother's Day a few years ago and mine died earlier this year. And as you know, my daughter was killed in July. Her mother died of cancer 8 years ago. My one step-daughter lives in Virginia but we got to see the other one yesterday.

My Kawasaki guy Levi Kitchen lost the SX championship yesterday in the last race. Now they move on to MX (motocross), which is longer tracks outdoors. SX is Supercross and is held in stadiums. Most of them are NFL stadiums but yesterday was in Utah.

I've been up since 4am since local meteorologists said best viewing time was going to be 4-6am. Nothing but stars and moon. Even took a half hour drive around the countryside. Should have figured it would be as accurate as their weather forecasts this year . From what I've seen on Facebook and Reddit locally it was visible for about 15 minutes around midnight which that time was predicted to be a low chance to see them. Hopefully we'll get another chance this year to see them.

Unusually, we were still up at midnight last night, so we went for a little spin away from the city lights. The sky wasn't as clear as Friday, and the moon was partly hidden by clouds, but plenty of stars were visible. Sadly, if the northern lights were out here last night, we didn't get to see them. It sounds like we might have been too early.

Local news meteorologist updated their aurora prediction for 3am-6am so I'm going to wake up early.

According to tonight's news we'll get a 2nd chance tonight as they said it should be just as visible/vivid tonight if not more so.

They mentioned the northern lights on the radio yesterday, but I promptly forgot as I thought it was unlikely we see anything as far south as we are. My friend's son proved me wrong with some beautiful pictures taken only a few miles away. Maybe tonight if I'm still awake, but it's clouding in now.

I unfortunately slept through them . I was so exhausted from mowing lawns and planting a flower garden that I fell asleep around 8:30 didn't wake up till 6 this morning. I had every intention of driving a few miles out into the country to see them. Local meteorologist say there's another chance we might see them tonight so I'll definitely stay awake tonight. I set another personal record, 11.29 miles I walked yesterday. I think I might split the lawns next week to two days though. My legs like jelly today.
