Since Rick and Lalo passed on the same day and you folks liked to talk about it, I didn't want Rick's thread to get overrun, so I'm starting this one. Post your favorite Lalo Schifrin music here. Mission: Impossible theme is probably the most memorable of them all. I have the entire soundtrack from the show.

I don't know Mannix at all. It looks like it was eventually shown in the UK in 1971, but I don't remember ever seeing it in the TV listings, and it's never had a region 2 DVD release. I mentioned 'Dirty Harry' above, but Lalo Schifrin also composed the score for another Clint Eastwood movie, 'Coogan's Bluff'. Anyone who's seen the movie will remember the club scene with Lalo's great parody of late-60's music - 'The Pigeon Toed Orange Peel'.

You're half right. Lalo Schifrin composed the theme music for season 1 of Starsky and Hutch. The more familiar 'Gotcha' theme used for season 2 was written by Tom Scott. A reworked version was also used on season 4. The video below is a cool cover by British jazz funk group the James Taylor Quartet. The season 3 theme was written by Mark Snow. All three of these composers also scored several episode, as did Alan Silvestri who wrote a lot of the music for 'CHiPs' (and many movies including 'Back to the Future').

I love this Starsky & Hutch series scene. Hutch:"Did you make out the plates?" π Starsky:"No." π Hutch:"Can't you get any closer?" π Starsky:"What do you think I'm tryin' to do, lose him?" π Hutch:"Oh haha very funny." π

After crashing out at the last race in Canada, Lando Norris was quickest in all three qualifying sessions today and took pole by over half a second. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took the other front row position ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton. Canadian winner George Russell will start fifth, while Max Verstappen had to abort his second run and will start seventh. The rumors this weekend say that Mercedes are talking to Max Verstappen, possibly to replace George Russell next year. Max is under contract with Red Bull until 2028, but it's believed that he has an out if certain performance targets aren't met.

This is a 5-year-old video from Ed Bolian's VINwiki YouTube channel. He posts a lot of videos and I don't have time to watch many of them, but I enjoy the ones I do get time to see. This week, the VINwiki channel also posted the latest series of Car Trek. For those of you who haven't seen the previous editions, Car Trek features YouTubers Ed Bolian (VINwiki), Tyler Hoover (Hoovies Garage) and Freddy Hernandez (Tavarish) doing car challenges similar to those seen on Top Gear. To save having to go through MSN, here's the General Lee video:
