  1. Past hour
  2. I know I've posted something like this before, but this is more detailed. I have several "errors" situations etc. firstly, we know that the 1st episode aired in 1979. in it Waylon says last year (1978) the boys got caught on a run. in happy birthday general lee (aired 1984) we learn 8 years prior (1976) is when they got the general, bo was "just getting out of hs", Luke got out or marines, (not sure of how long someone could/had to stay in service back then) but they were even on probation then. (my guess is they never wanted they boys to use guns) Daisys shotgun wedding (aired 1983) : she had been working at boars nest for 4 years. was it 79 or 76? Hazzard hijack: Lukes's marine "buddy" was part of stolen money 5 years prior (1976) (they never "found" each other after Luke came home) 1979 ghost of general lee rosco says he chased the boys so many times over the years it was only three years I'm sure it was more (but I'm specifically talking of the general) bye bye boss 1981: ten years prior boss sent digger to jail (the "kids" did not know about it) play it again luke 1984: luke last saw candy 7 years prior (1977) there are several others that "meet each other" I know they were never thinking facts for timelines just rewatching it is funny with some episodes.
  3. random thought... does anybody know if any of the episodes aired on any ot the cast members birthdays? or possibly they "worked" on their birthday.
  4. Today

  8. Yesterday
  9. VANCE Duke
  10. Raw liver and black coffee (Boss Hoggs breakfast)
  11. I've put up so many Dukes related memes on the HazzardNet facebook page, I figured we might as well start a thread where everyone can post ones they've made. Here's my latest, from Ray Kohn's (Northeast Ohio Dukes) jump over the fountain in Somerset, KY during the Somernites event.
  12. I know I haven't put out a newsletter in quite some time, but there was a lot of Dukes related news in the past week, so I figured I'd send one out. You can view it here. If you haven't yet signed up for the newsletter, but would like to, you can sign up here.
  13. I enjoyed it at the start, but the quality definitely dropped off around season 8 or 9 when they announced that there would be a known number of additional seasons. It did get better again toward the end, and I think I watched every episode, but I never bother watching the re-runs even though they're shown often. I think my interest also waned when I read that the main stars were getting $1 million each per episode. Many of the later episodes had run times of under 20 minutes to fit in all the advertising, and I couldn't help remembering why as I watched. The highest paid soap stars here only earn £250k a year, so it's a bit of a culture shock. Another issue I had was that after the first few seasons, the team of writers obviously could not comprehend that people like the four male leads might spend long periods of time single. With the exception of Sheldon, the others spent quite a bit of time in relationships. Maybe they should've watched the trailer a bit more often.
  14. I wonder what kind of drink I'd need to get Daisy?
  15. Wouldn’t mind just finding something I can stick in a can cooler for a summers day, sit out on my porch and enjoy. That's the life ! sounds like a plan! Drink Heineken!! You'll feel fine again!
  16. I'm with you bud! I've been there, done that! I hope you get better soon! Come on by the car lot and I'll give you a swig of something that will cure what ails you!
  17. My hometown does but it doesn't exist anymore. What's there now is completely different!
  18. Rasin Bran !!
  19. I have them all on DVD, including the one with Lindsay Lohan. I only got to see one at the cinema, which I'm guessing was either 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo' (1977) or 'Herbie Goes Bananas' (1980). I also have a 1:18 model of Herbie.
  20. breakfast It's not generally available, but I could probably get a box at one of the stores that sells really marked-up imported candies and sodas.
  21. Enjoy. Do you do anything special to celebrate?
  22. My hometown is a lot like Hazzard to me, it’s very cozy and close knit, kind of everyone knows everyone sort of vibe. We have a lot of community events, Canada Day, Labour Day (with a parade that runs through the Main Street) and to top off the Hazzard connection, we actually have our very own Boars Nest! The owner is actually referred to as “Boss Hogg” by a lot of people round here too.
  23. It’s great they managed to save the original General Lee.
  24. Currently been battling a sinus infection and it migrated to my chest. Been battling it for 3 weeks now.. Wish it would just take a hike. On a positive note, I did wake up this morning feeling better but still stuffy in my nose and a bad cough. Nothing worse than a summer illness y’all
  25. I tried my first beer earlier in the year. Not sure if I mentioned it before lol, Busch Light.. not a huge fan of the taste right off, but that’s only one beer, there are a lot of different brews. Wouldn’t mind just finding something I can stick in a can cooler for a summers day, sit out on my porch and enjoy.
  26. Oh yeah for sure, perfect for that. John Anderson is another favourite of mine.
  27. In 1969, a little Volkswagen with a mind of his own, was introduced to the world in the movie - The Love Bug. Featuring main actors Dean Jones, Michelle Lee, Buddy Hackett David Tomlinson This movie is a Disney classic, and one of the first movies I remember watching as a kid. Way back on VHS. (Showing my age a little bit lol) But it really fired up my imagination, I think I was maybe 3-5 years old and I had an old toy car, wasn’t even a Volkswagen and I knocked together a little Herbie. Was wondering does anyone else remember this great movie?
  28. Howdy y’all, this is just a little thread I wanted to create to help us walk down memory lane, we all remember Dukes, but what other shows did you grow up with as a kid? Interested to see what people grew up with and remember
