  2. I know I haven't put out a newsletter in quite some time, but there was a lot of Dukes related news in the past week, so I figured I'd send one out. You can view it here. If you haven't yet signed up for the newsletter, but would like to, you can sign up here.
  3. I enjoyed it at the start, but the quality definitely dropped off around season 8 or 9 when they announced that there would be a known number of additional seasons. It did get better again toward the end, and I think I watched every episode, but I never bother watching the re-runs even though they're shown often. I think my interest also waned when I read that the main stars were getting $1 million each per episode. Many of the later episodes had run times of under 20 minutes to fit in all the advertising, and I couldn't help remembering why as I watched. The highest paid soap stars here only earn £250k a year, so it's a bit of a culture shock. Another issue I had was that after the first few seasons, the team of writers obviously could not comprehend that people like the four male leads might spend long periods of time single. With the exception of Sheldon, the others spent quite a bit of time in relationships. Maybe they should've watched the trailer a bit more often.
  4. I wonder what kind of drink I'd need to get Daisy?
  5. Wouldn’t mind just finding something I can stick in a can cooler for a summers day, sit out on my porch and enjoy. That's the life ! sounds like a plan! Drink Heineken!! You'll feel fine again!
  6. I'm with you bud! I've been there, done that! I hope you get better soon! Come on by the car lot and I'll give you a swig of something that will cure what ails you!
  7. My hometown does but it doesn't exist anymore. What's there now is completely different!
  8. Rasin Bran !!
  9. I have them all on DVD, including the one with Lindsay Lohan. I only got to see one at the cinema, which I'm guessing was either 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo' (1977) or 'Herbie Goes Bananas' (1980). I also have a 1:18 model of Herbie.
  10. breakfast It's not generally available, but I could probably get a box at one of the stores that sells really marked-up imported candies and sodas.
  11. Enjoy. Do you do anything special to celebrate?
  12. My hometown is a lot like Hazzard to me, it’s very cozy and close knit, kind of everyone knows everyone sort of vibe. We have a lot of community events, Canada Day, Labour Day (with a parade that runs through the Main Street) and to top off the Hazzard connection, we actually have our very own Boars Nest! The owner is actually referred to as “Boss Hogg” by a lot of people round here too.
  13. It’s great they managed to save the original General Lee.
  14. Currently been battling a sinus infection and it migrated to my chest. Been battling it for 3 weeks now.. Wish it would just take a hike. On a positive note, I did wake up this morning feeling better but still stuffy in my nose and a bad cough. Nothing worse than a summer illness y’all
  15. I tried my first beer earlier in the year. Not sure if I mentioned it before lol, Busch Light.. not a huge fan of the taste right off, but that’s only one beer, there are a lot of different brews. Wouldn’t mind just finding something I can stick in a can cooler for a summers day, sit out on my porch and enjoy.
  16. Oh yeah for sure, perfect for that. John Anderson is another favourite of mine.
  17. In 1969, a little Volkswagen with a mind of his own, was introduced to the world in the movie - The Love Bug. Featuring main actors Dean Jones, Michelle Lee, Buddy Hackett David Tomlinson This movie is a Disney classic, and one of the first movies I remember watching as a kid. Way back on VHS. (Showing my age a little bit lol) But it really fired up my imagination, I think I was maybe 3-5 years old and I had an old toy car, wasn’t even a Volkswagen and I knocked together a little Herbie. Was wondering does anyone else remember this great movie?
  18. Howdy y’all, this is just a little thread I wanted to create to help us walk down memory lane, we all remember Dukes, but what other shows did you grow up with as a kid? Interested to see what people grew up with and remember

  20. Tom Duke

    Duck Dynasty

Duck Dynasty - The Revival now airs weekly on A&E. (Sundays at 9/8c)
  21. Honestly a pretty good comedy series, I’m rather familiar with it as the reruns air quite frequently here. Sheldon is the heart and soul of the show, but they all contribute to its overall success. The writing is great too!
  22. Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians here on HazzardNet 🇨🇦 Hope it’s a great one for everyone, take care y’all! God bless and sincerely, Tom Duke 🇨🇦

  24. So I've had these in my tumblr inbox for like....wayyy too long and I have no idea what to do with any of them and was wondering if you guys had any ideas. The first one is: "Could you write something about the two boy dukes who are with the reader? The boys get into trouble with Rosco and Boss. The reader reaches General Lee and they flee. Rosco and Enos chase after them, but the reader manages to dodge them while the boys mock them and ultimately do a much more extreme jump than the boys do, like jumping off a ramp over a canyon or something. They land on the other side and escape. It ends with the boys declaring their love for her." My initial idea was to maybe do an episode re-write but A: I can't find scripts anywhere, B: I'm not sure which episode really fits the best The second one is: "if you could do a bo x reader (maybe he takes us for a ride in the general and then to a picnic) id love you forever" This one I have started with a base scene talking about Hazzard and how unusually quiet, but I'm not sure how to start the actual fic The last request is very broad and is just "PLEASE more Bo x reader literally anything would make my day there's no where near enough Dukes of Hazzard fics" And my question for this one is simple, what should it be? I just don't know what to write about Thank you in advance for literally any help given
  25. I'm out of reactions Justin but here is a heart for your post. ❤
  26. The races are so long and there is always so much to do I usually only watch highlights. Depending on what I am doing I usually keep an eye on sporting events on TV and just watch the end of them live. Except for pro dirt bikes. Can't get enough of those. I'd love to see Miz Tisdale race those guys. She'd make them look like snails with racing decals.
  27. Crunch (do they sell that there Hoss?)
