Roth Potter got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in When the Dutch try to make a documentary
Just today I found this small interview/documentary from a Dutch TV show from 2002/2003 where they visit James Best. This was during the time the TV channel Veronica started re-airing the show which seemed to be quite a big deal.
Thought it would be interesting to share.
There's some parts which are in Dutch but most is English with some dutch subtitles or interesting video.

Yes, Southern Ireland swapped to KPH just over 10 years ago. There was a time when I first moved here that speed limit signs were still in MPH, but road signs had distances in kilometers, which was strange.
Even though we're in KPH and kilometers, I still tend to automatically convert to miles because that's what I grew up with. Also, I have no idea what a good fuel consumption figure is in liters per 100km - MPG makes a lot more sense to me (once I remember that a US gallon is about 3.8 liters while a UK gallon is just over 4.5 liters).

Roth Potter got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread
There none that I know of where they drive to a racetrack. the most familiar one sound like Season 7 Episode 6 'The Dukes in Hollywood'. The scene starting at 17:20 where they drive into the studio. Bo is driving with daisy and Luke Next to him. Boss, Rosco & Flash are in the back and the guard asks who is sitting in the back to which Luke replies with 'Thats J. D. Hood and Rosco Coltrane'. Then rosco repliad with his P.
Kamryn's post did now show up for me in the Latest Posts tab.

Roth Potter reacted to Boss JD Hogg in Another 'Orange Clunker Car' - MPC Snap Kit General Lee - FINISHED
From what I heard when MPC originally released the 1/25 General Lee they couldn't find the correct 1969 hood and interior bucket. It was released with a 1970 hood and a stock car interior bucket.
When MPC released the Charger 500 kit they found the correct 1969 hood. The 1969 hood tooling was misplaced again so the General Lee kept the 1970 hood.

When I built my MPC glue kit General Lee I located a 1969 hood from a Charger 500.
Here's my MPC glue kit General Lee I built last year with the 1969 hood and correct interior.IMG_7579 Small by Michael Scarola, on Flickr

Thanks Roger!
Here's the chassis, suspension and exhaust, weathered with wear 'n' tear, and even some rust at appropriate places. Much of it will be covered/disguised by the road dust to be sprayed on last. Once installed, the edges received some orange overspray, indicating a home-done paint job.
The wheel hubs are from the old MPC General Lee kit. Chrome removed with bleach, then heavily sanded on the rear until the five openings were actually opened as they should be. Then primed, sprayed flat black, and detailed with aluminum paint. Not chrome. Those bits are shiny, but not quite chrome, with the possible exception of the lug nuts.Tires sanded with fine sandpaper and fine steel wool to remove the shiny vinyl "toy" look.
And, even the CB antenna; scratchbuilt styrene base, with a bit of High "E" metal guitar string.

Not really, but it feel Cooter is supposed to be a little older than Bo & Luke.

Roth Potter reacted to Rollman in Cooter 1967 Ford wrecker project
I just got the truck back from the body guy yesterday. As you can see, it got new cab corners, the cab marker lights were taken off and holes filled to match Cooter's truck, and the various side mirror holes in the doors were filled as well. The driver's fender is rusted through at the bottom and has a few small dents in it, but instead of fixing it, I am tossing it and will be bolting up a NOS fender. I have ordered my sander and spray guns, the project will continue to be worked on as time allows. I hope to have it painted by the end of June at the latest, then have the bed put on and painted by July 20th or so.

Thanks for the replies, T.J.P.
I think we'd pretty much narrowed down the location of the State Courthouse/Central City General Hospital to roughly that area, but it's great to have it confirmed, especially with all the extra information you provided.
How did I miss the Glass Building? It's right across the street from the studios! Here's a recent Streetview image. Even with the trees it's still recognizable.
There can't be many loose ends left now.

That'll be Carlene Watkins, and I agree. Here's a collection of screengrabs from 'High Octane' which I've previously posted elsewhere on HNet. I'm sure no one will mind seeing it again .
