Well Captain, if you could have resisted you wouldn't have clicked on the thread. If you could have resisted, you wouldn't have posted. By saying the you can't resist I was NOT being critical....(since I can relate to clicking on the thread even though something inside me questions that decision.) I'll make you a deal. Let's see who can resist posting on this thread longest, you or me. If you accept, please post "I ACCEPT" and nothing else on your next post. As soon as I see you have typed that in, I won't post on this thread anymore. Maybe we can slow down the momentum of hard feelings that seems to be building. This would set an example to everyone else that this thread has been overdone and should be put to rest. However, the bottom line is that the nature of a thread like this is to voice an opinion and if you and I boycott it with a personal contest, we'll have to accept that we can't change other people if they want to participate

dessert (has anybody else ever noticed that our word association turns to food quite often?) LOL

That was a pretty funny quote by daisyxenos. I sure got a chuckle out of it. I never bring the subject up but I can't seem to resist responding whenever someone else does. I agree with you Lori. There's an old saying... "Ignore it and it will go away". I guess we could add to that and make it a modern saying.. "Ignore it and it will go away...and if it doesn't, don't click on the thread" I can see why Captain can't resist though. I know I can't.

daisyxenos and Bo both got it right. From "The Legacy" what did Lucinda Meadow's late husband leave her? A) 9 fake antique swords 24 fake antique swords C) 9,000 dollars in counterfeit money D) 24,000 dollars in counterfeit money E) 9 barrels of bad moonshine F) 24 barrels of bad moonshine -
I was one of those 14 million people who bought that poster. Since I have a wife that's a zillion zillion times prettier than that, I threw it away. I'd never throw any of my Daisy Duke stuff away though 'cause she's family.

I've only ever seen one episode of "Family Guy" and that's because I was told that it was a Dukes episode. The station wagon General Lee was hilarious. It could jump over anything!!

I liked what you said about the writing and plots of the Coy and Vance episodes Garrett. In addition to what I said about the other actors holding the show up during season 5, I should have included the writers. I wonder if some of those were plots were created before the writers knew that Bo and Luke wouldn't be there. I guess it wouldn't have been too tough to adjust the scripts to different Duke boys. (Bear in mind that I'm just speculating here and have no idea if that's the case) Another thing that made season 5 enjoyable is Enos coming home from California.....although I did miss his adventures in the big city.....what I wouldn't give for those episodes on DVD!! Grits and greens strike again!!!!

Which of these were on the show? Miller's Creek Road or Wattsburg County Hogg's Shoe and Hat Emporium or J.D. Hogg Logging and Sawmill Dolly Parton or Dottie West

Denver C gets another one right. Description: There's a bad guy in town who looks exactly like our favorite sheriff

I'm a little bit surprised that the writers didn't specify where Bessie and Elbert lived but I guess it didn't really matter. After Coy and Vance left I was pretty happy. Not because they were gone, but because Bo and Luke were back. Seeing them pop into the Boar's Nest and pull those helmets off was one of the best scenes the series ever produced. Looking back though, I appreciate Coy and Vance for filling in even though they were never too popular with the majority of fans. The way I saw it at the time, "The Dukes of Hazzard" with Coy and Vance was better than no Dukes at all. The rest of the cast was so awesome, they held the show up pretty well.

You're right Lori. On "Welcome Back Bo and Luke" Coy and Vance left forever to take care of Aunt Bessie and Uncle Elbert. They didn't say where they lived.

It's awesome to see you on the trivia post Bo. I wish I could chat but I'm off to my grandson's baseball game. Have a great weekend.

Very impressive Bo!!! I would have said barrel too but if you watch that episode you'll see that Jesse was being cute and changed that old phrase around a little bit. Whose rarely seen house was shown on "Baa Baa White Sheep"? (I'm not sure but I think this is the only episode that we ever saw this house.) A) Cooter Rosco C) Enos D) Cletus -
Charlie's Angels debuted in 1976 and was my favorite show before Dukes came out 3 years later. Like all 16 year old boys, I was in love with Farrah and the blue and white Mustang she drove on the show. I hope she's resting in peace.

I've had that problem before too Bo. B.L., daisyxenos and Bo all got it right. Complete the line from Jesse when Boss foreclosed on the farm on "The Late J.D. Hogg" "Boss owns our home place lock, stock and......." A) barrel tractor C) fence posts D) Maudeen -
Lori, I like you so much so I'm not really too excited about debating but since we have so much respect for each other, I don't think I'll upset you by saying this. 1) I agree that Uncle Jesse taught his kids the Golden Rule 2) I agree that Uncle Jesse would not want to bash anybody. 3) I agree that nobody on this website should bash anybody for liking the movie 4) I agree that we should RESPECTFULLY disagree with each other on this issue. 5) I agree that you can be a true Dukes fan and still like the movie Now, can I get you to agree with me on something? If Jesse would have seen this movie at the Hazzard Theater he wouldn't have liked it at all. Sure, he would have enjoyed a few scenes and not bashed people who liked it, but overall, he would have RESPECTFULLY given it two thumbs down.
