  1. Garrett seeing Skipper attempting to edge closer to him, Garrett waves out the window and applies more pressure to the accelerator to make Spittin' Cobra, his car, to jump ahead more.

  2. Little after thought. Always wondered why the sirens on the sheriff's cars were blue with no red. Another reason I liked Road Pirates so much was cause of the scenes where the pull the sirens off the car so I always perplexed about the lack of red.

  3. My name is from the character on the show ( he was in 2-3 episodes) and he was the town drunk. I got his name because I like to drink but I'm not an alcoholic ( about 3 beers at one time......I know....I'm a hard core bad boy!! LOL! ....also because he's funny. Have you ever seen Hobie Hartkins?

  4. Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) confessed it's awful. In an interview he said "I asked the prop man what's going to be used for the raw liver? He said he looked around, and the only thing he could find that looked like raw liver was raw liver. They put a plate of it down in front of me, and I said "What the hell. It can't kill you. But I'll tell you, it sure tastes sickening." ๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. I could be wrong but this may be related to the type of screens PlayStation and GameBoy would be out put on. Gameboy had no backlight so they often shifted tones of colors to make them appear better. The PlayStation also relies on scan lines for certain pictures to look a specific way. For example the sky might pop a bit more if playing on a crt tv.

  7. I love Coy and Vance! No disrespect to anyone because it's not the actors vault but I would rather watch some Coy and Vance then ANY episode without Rosco or Cooter. As in their "replacements". I'm a way Coy and Vance are obviously meant to be copies but they still feel like their own guys. Way more positive and cheerful almost cartoonishly so but it has a charm that works. Have Lester try to act like Rosco after being introduced as some mean dude the blunders seem so forced it doesn't work at all. Same with Cooter's cousins when he sticks his tongue out the exact same way Cooter would. Coy and Vance had the same lines but they were delivered differently and I enjoy it. Plus who doesn't like seeing Enos and Cletus share a squad car in season 5?

I love this series. I really hope we can recover the missing episodes and remaster the ones we have

  9. This case was made up by someone a few years ago. The cars are glued in place and there's a light in there that takes a battery in it so it can light up like a proper display case but I can't always get it to work. The car below was my dad's but he gave it to me when I was a kid after I broke the wheels off mine making it do jumps haha. I do know the bigger car came in the ERTL box that had the flag on the package and a picture of everyone on the backdrop inside.

  10. I checked out the end of the movie and the song does appear during the credits, but due to the credits featuring bloopers it's very difficult to hear the lyrics.

  12. well, I can't say why they had that with no red on the show but I can tell you that blue shows up better than red because it has a shorter wave length than red!

  16. Well I'm sure for most of you, I don't have to say who's my favorite driver. But I'll put it here for the newbies. My all time favorite driver is Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. I do like Dale Earnhardt Jr as well. My favorite current driver is Chase Elliott. I'm all for team Hendrick.

  17. While everyone is distracted, Garrett easily passes them all with a sly smile. Staying focused and serious on the race will definitely be on his side. He shakes his head and smiles in disbelief as his competition is literally left in his dirt and getting smaller in his rearview mirror. He can smell and taste victory ahead of him as he knows what's on the line and he will do everything that he can to ensure he protects his win streak.

  18. I'm not sure. I had to stop and put some shine in my tank but I'm right in there with you guys. Actually, The Cracker Barrell 400 will be in my home town! WHO KNEW?? I never would've guessed!
    2 points
  19. I saw that today Hobie. I'm guessing the Cracker Barrel 400 is going to be organized and have a bunch of rules and regulations. No need to worry. That sounds boring compared to the Moonshine 400 so nobody will pay any attention to it. You still have the best race in the world. Now, what place you in anyways?

  24. I know it's probably a bit different since instead of mentioning the Dukes it was actually made for the TV movie from 2007 (I know) but the song Duke Boys Swingin' with John Anderson and Cowboy Troy is a really good song. Cowboy Troy's bit actually describes the show perfectly.

  25. Growing up Dale Earndhart, Jr was my favorite. When I played the NASCAR game most recently I played as Danica Patrick for the fact she was a girl but never saw her race. The one I really like to root for now is Frankie Muniz.

  27. It seems everybody is using shine to fuel their engines! Well you kids remember, the old man ( me....Hobie) is using his own special shine ......( who would or could make better shine than the town drunk? lol ), and I'm going down the straightaway just out of the curve! ( right now I'm waving at Daisy and Meadow!! ) and I'm about to pour another jug straight into the engine and one straight into me! * *Actually, since my wife is off tomorrow and I don't have to drive, I'm about to indulge in my regular beer ( Millwaukee's Best Ice.....Ice Beer is my fav.!! ) WE'll still need to celebrate DOHD on Friday, even though I can't sleep in Sat.! Ha! Ha!

  30. I swear High Octane is one of the best episodes of any show I've ever seen. I may be biased for Road Pirates but I really think High Octane is Duke perfection. There's a music note that plays when you first see the Rolls on the criminals property. I never hear that note in any other episode but I used to think it sounded so good and helped set the mood for what was going on

  31. Are any of y'all like me? When you read a book that is made into a movie, do you see and hear the movie cast, songs, music, cues, scores etc.?

  32. Yep! Used to love the theme song when I was little. We watched it so much I never even thought anything of it being in black and white. I mean like I wouldn't even realize it was in black and white if that makes sense. It just was cause it didn't need to be in color. If you get the chance look up Grand Theft Auto (1977) if you've never seen it. It's the first film ol Ronnie ever directed

  33. Shame I'm late on this- I really love this episode. Used to watch it all the time after first learning of Coy and Vance. I came home after staying at my cousins and told my dad "Bo was wearing Luke's shirt but Luke didn't look like Luke" my dad then explained the tale of Coy and Vance. A funny take but this was around 2011. Years later I realized CMT was showing those episodes but cause of Christopher Mayer's passing.

  40. Not on VHS but I have the complete series on DVD as well as the Reunion movies. I do have some other tapes I watched as a kid still in good shape. The "Re-TV" tape copies of One Armed Bandits and Mary Kaye's Baby on one tape and then Repo Men and High Octane should be on another. Then I have the VHS copy of To Catch A Duke the season 3 episode.

  44. For the first time in the race Jesse takes the lead. And the timing couldn't have been better. Emma made it down from Iron Mountain on her back up dirt bike just in time to stop at the intersection to watch the race. And what a sight it was to see her man in the lead on her very own postal dirt bike. She caught the corner of Jesse's eye and distracted him. He looked at her with a big smile and gave her a thumbs up and she blew him a kiss. It was such a distraction that he didn't notice a big rock. He hit it and it threw his bike off to the side and Skipper passed him with the Minnow in tow. Jesse's Yamaha then ran into the dirt where it hit another rock with such force that it catapulted him and the bike into the air and two seconds later, right into the Minnow. Lucky for him and the Yamaha they both landed on the pile of life jackets unharmed but clearly out of the race...... .......or were they? It would be unwise to ever count out crafty and wise Jesse Duke.
