"What the -" Garrett lets his sentence drag off in surprise at seeing Hobie flash by him before he straightening up in his seat and aggressively forces Spittin Cobra to forward at somehow a faster pace. "So this is how ya wanna play?" he hisses as he charges alongside Hobie.

Garrett watches everyone up front with dismay. Even with everything but the best under his hood and in his tank, it wasn't enough to out run everyone's shine they seem to be using and drinking. Thinking of their drinking, Garrett gains a little confidence in knowing that he should be able to outsmart them being sober. and begins to think of other options before he notices a side road on the right and he quickly turns right onto the bumpy and rough road that is surrounded by trees and weeds. He holds onto the steering wheel tightly as he is bounced around with his foot all the way on the accelerator. Following the trail around curves and fallen branches he makes his way around a curve to see the opening that leads back onto the track everyone is on. Hoping for the best, he pushes the accelerator down and feels his car jolt forward before he is thrown back on to the track, right next to everyone else! "Surprise!" he yells out his window as he inches ahead of everyone.

Garrett just nods at him as he stares at the road ahead. Looking back in his rearview mirror he sees everyone getting closer as he fights with Skipper. Looking back at Skipper he is impressed by the manpower and speed of his car. But what everyone doesn't know, is that he has a souped up Jeff Gordon engine under his hood. The same engine that brought Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag and championships many times. "See ya later," Garrett shouts at Skipper as he presses the accelerator to the floor and Spittin' Cobra flies ahead and Garrett cuts Skipper off again before rushing ahead.

Garrett Duke struggles off Hobie while watching everyone fight over moonshine. "Amateurs," he scoffs as he abruptly turns right onto an off road area. He braces himself through the rough terrain and swipes left to miss a fallen log before the path abruptly turns back onto the road and Garrett laughs to see Hobie several car lengths behind him now.

Garrett seeing Skipper attempting to edge closer to him, Garrett waves out the window and applies more pressure to the accelerator to make Spittin' Cobra, his car, to jump ahead more.

Little after thought. Always wondered why the sirens on the sheriff's cars were blue with no red. Another reason I liked Road Pirates so much was cause of the scenes where the pull the sirens off the car so I always perplexed about the lack of red.

My name is from the character on the show ( he was in 2-3 episodes) and he was the town drunk. I got his name because I like to drink but I'm not an alcoholic ( about 3 beers at one time......I know....I'm a hard core bad boy!! LOL! ....also because he's funny. Have you ever seen Hobie Hartkins?

I know it's probably a bit different since instead of mentioning the Dukes it was actually made for the TV movie from 2007 (I know) but the song Duke Boys Swingin' with John Anderson and Cowboy Troy is a really good song. Cowboy Troy's bit actually describes the show perfectly.

Growing up Dale Earndhart, Jr was my favorite. When I played the NASCAR game most recently I played as Danica Patrick for the fact she was a girl but never saw her race. The one I really like to root for now is Frankie Muniz.

For the first time in the race Jesse takes the lead. And the timing couldn't have been better. Emma made it down from Iron Mountain on her back up dirt bike just in time to stop at the intersection to watch the race. And what a sight it was to see her man in the lead on her very own postal dirt bike. She caught the corner of Jesse's eye and distracted him. He looked at her with a big smile and gave her a thumbs up and she blew him a kiss. It was such a distraction that he didn't notice a big rock. He hit it and it threw his bike off to the side and Skipper passed him with the Minnow in tow. Jesse's Yamaha then ran into the dirt where it hit another rock with such force that it catapulted him and the bike into the air and two seconds later, right into the Minnow. Lucky for him and the Yamaha they both landed on the pile of life jackets unharmed but clearly out of the race...... .......or were they? It would be unwise to ever count out crafty and wise Jesse Duke.

Feeling the freedom of no one in view, Garrett allows his car to slow a bit to give the powerful engine a rest a bit while resting back into his leather seat. He finally glances into his rear view mirror and his heart skips a beat as he sees Jesse's vehicle come across the curve and into view. Sitting up in his seat he presses the accelerator down forcefully the car jolts forward with increase speed. "Eat my dirt, Jesse," he says aloud with a confident smile.

Watching the vehicles behind begin to edge and fight one another, Garrett eyes the open road ahead of him. Though knows anything can happen at any time...

I missed that, but that is chilling. Probably something everyone should consider about life.

Definitely a shocker. So sad to hear that his wife, kids and family have lost him and that millions of his fans will never see him race again. ABC News showed a snippet of his interview after his last race where he said each win was special because you never know when it will be your last. Chilling.

Keeping his attention on the race, Garrett refuses to fall into everyone's competitive talk and pushes the pedal down farther and a hint of a smile crosses his face at feeling the great power of the engine. Passing Jesse, he gives him a slight respectful nod, before speeding up front. (Sorry y'all I've been away from my computer a bit.)

Hey Hobie! Yes I remember him! I turn 60 in September. I reside in Clearwater, FL.

Garrett felt guilty passing Jesse as he saw the dirt bike on fire, but seeing he was ok, he floored the accelerator to the floor only for him to hear the dirt bike explode behind him. He contemplated going back to check on him as it seems as he has already lost the race. He was angry and disappointed in himself, but he knew he was racing the honest way without using alcohol from anyone else. Just the best gas he had gotten. Pure NASCAR gold gas that he had gotten when he gotten Jeff Gordon's engine. Just as he thought more of turning around, he spots a dirt bike with Jesse on it behind him. "What the heck?" he says a loud before exhaling a deep breath of relief at seeing him ok. With seeing Jesse was Ok gave Garrett another surge of adrenaline and he shoved his car faster forward. He was never one to give up on a race until it was over.

When I was a kid we used to watch this cartoon on Disney channel and there was a "magical baby" then the next episode they were making statements like "Who did it then Ron the baby?" Im like we just saw the kids magic. Another victim of the machete order. There's actually an episode where they jump the road runner and keep mentioning daisy wanting to hurt them if they mess it up. FORESHADOWING what was gonna happen in what was intended to be the next episode but the executives denied it lol. This is also why we see Rosco and his replacements come and go. Like lester, than Rosco's, than the other guy, then back to Rosco again.

It was Emma. At first she didn't realize the charred, burning pile of metal was her second dirt bike but because her crush on Jesse was so strong she took it well after he revealed it. "Here Jesse, use this one. It's identical. They will never know." Jesse hopped on right away. "But I can't leave you here Emma" She hopped on the back and gave his big belly a hug from behind, happy to be close to her dream man. "I'm ready for our race date Jesse. Let 'er rip!"

I watched those episodes when they originally aired and I didn't even notice at the time. (I'd make a terrible detective....lol) There was no social media so I never knew it until I heard it here.

several people on the sidelines are smelling the unmistakable smell of Homemade Hooch! Hobie's engine is cranked to the max as he brings it around the curve and into the next straightaway! He's burning Shine like it was water and blowing by everybody!

Everybody here knows I'm low tech so it may come as no surprise that I ask what an emulator is. My grandson got me hooked on Skyrim a couple years ago. I like medieval stuff so I'm loving it.

Do you guys prefer Racing for Home or Daisy Dukes it Out? I'm about to start playing the second one on an emulator until I can get a physical copy and I'm curious. I saw a video once saying it was a bad game and I think it's just young people referring to older graphics cause so far the game looks really cool. I've only ever played the first and third games. I had beaten the first growing up but I always got stuck trying to follow Enos on the third

Hey my fellow Hazzardites! I'm watching Moon Runners right now! You guys have seen that one haven't you? It's the one that started it all! If you haven't, you need to see it! It's funny and at the same time, closer to what the lifestyle is really like but I didn't like it when Jesse died but besides that, it was a good movie!

After pulling out the pin that disconnected the Minnow, the tongue of the trailer dug into the dirt and stopped the trailer/Minnow in it's tracks. Jesse's dirt bike launched into the air like a catapult, right over the creek. With the new coconut fuel in his tank Jesse knew he would catch the rest of the group soon. He looked in his mirror at the Minnow and trailer on the other side of the creek and figured Skipper would miss it....but also thought Skipper would forgive him since Ford Mustangs are much faster when they aren't pulling yachts. As he watched the stuck trailer and yacht get smaller and smaller in his mirror Jesse couldn't resist singing...."The Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost."

Hobie just got back in the action after a delayed pit stop! He knows the Moonshine Mauler has the power to out run everyone but he's not sure when to make his move! He just gets on the straightway of the track and puts his heel to the steel! He's passing all kinds of racers.....he still hasn't seen Meadow or Daisy yet!

Garrett watches in amazement to see Skipper literally jump ahead of him before anger settles in. "Ain't no way no boat is gonna beat Spittin' Cobra!" he states as he aggressively fights his way besides Skipper. Garrett forces a smile at Skipper and a wave while yelling out his window at Skipper, "Nice move!" With that he goes off track a bit to gain some momentum before weaving back on track to cut Skipper off.

Getting some "Willie Nelson" ready and then gonna watch Repo Men

I could be wrong but this may be related to the type of screens PlayStation and GameBoy would be out put on. Gameboy had no backlight so they often shifted tones of colors to make them appear better. The PlayStation also relies on scan lines for certain pictures to look a specific way. For example the sky might pop a bit more if playing on a crt tv.

I love this series. I really hope we can recover the missing episodes and remaster the ones we have

This case was made up by someone a few years ago. The cars are glued in place and there's a light in there that takes a battery in it so it can light up like a proper display case but I can't always get it to work. The car below was my dad's but he gave it to me when I was a kid after I broke the wheels off mine making it do jumps haha. I do know the bigger car came in the ERTL box that had the flag on the package and a picture of everyone on the backdrop inside.

I checked out the end of the movie and the song does appear during the credits, but due to the credits featuring bloopers it's very difficult to hear the lyrics.

Garrett glares angrily as Hobie passes them and pushes angrily on the accelerator and aggressively passes Hobie to regain first place yet again.

well, I can't say why they had that with no red on the show but I can tell you that blue shows up better than red because it has a shorter wave length than red!

While everyone is distracted, Garrett easily passes them all with a sly smile. Staying focused and serious on the race will definitely be on his side. He shakes his head and smiles in disbelief as his competition is literally left in his dirt and getting smaller in his rearview mirror. He can smell and taste victory ahead of him as he knows what's on the line and he will do everything that he can to ensure he protects his win streak.

I saw that today Hobie. I'm guessing the Cracker Barrel 400 is going to be organized and have a bunch of rules and regulations. No need to worry. That sounds boring compared to the Moonshine 400 so nobody will pay any attention to it. You still have the best race in the world. Now, what place you in anyways?

We certainly can't help with the job hunt but if you need picked up emotionally just pop a Dukes episode in and after you watch it jump on the HazzardNet and tell us how good it made you feel. Sure helps me anytime I'm feeling down.

Hobie takes another sip of shine ( you never waste a sip!) LOL! , and he passes everybody with his specially formulated super charged shine .....everybody except Meadow and Daisy ( He's too busy looking at them.....!! ) and then he sees he's going to have to really get it in gear because Garrett and Roger have just about passed him! ( That's when Hobie realizes he should've paid more attention to those two in the locker room before the race.....they were obviously making plans and conspiring to beat him! )

Jesse starts to gain ground on the pack and gets close enough to see Meadowmufn and Hoss ahead of him. He gets excited that he might not finish last after all. But this is the Mooonshine 400. It's not like any other race in the world. Here it is possible to be an old man riding an old lady's Yamaha dirt bike that is normally used to deliver mail and win after a disastrous start. Jesse knew that and his confidence started growing. If a guy pulling a yacht could do this well, so could he. "Only in Hazzard!" he laughed to himself and twisted the throttle as far as it would go.

Living in Hazzard County, for me, would be a UTOPIA

"10-4 Thanks Skipper but the only tour I'm interested is the tour of the winner's circle with Emma planting a kiss on my cheek. But I don't really have much chance of winning now. I was stupid and trusted that tech junk when I should have known better. Maybe she will give me a sympathy kiss." In the meantime, Emma had given up on tech too after her computer blew up along with the one hooked to Jesse's dirt bike. Since there was no way she could use her remote control back up, she hopped on her other dirt bike and started down Iron Mountain, hoping to make it to the finish line before the race ended. She knew Jesse would need consoling after what he had been through.
