I realize that regular vehicle testing is not something that most of the US members have to worry about, but over here all vehicles are tested. It is based on states here. I live in Pennsylvania right by the Ohio line. Pennsylvania inspections are strict and Ohio's are not. So if your Pennsylvania car won't pass inspection because the body is too rusty you can take it across the line to sell it. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote

I am not sure the race helped you with that. Talking about Lulu...when do we get to see a picture? Who doesn't like puppy pictures? LOL It was just a 3 day thing. Thanks for asking. You too Hobie. Sorry but pictures are too complicated for me. Lulu is a 6 month old black shih-tzu with a little bit of brown....only weighs 7 lbs. Garrett Duke and Hobie Hartkins 2 Quote

It amazes me how much variation there is between states. There's a car mechanic I watch on YouTube who's based in Kansas, and his videos are often interrupted by loud cars passing. He just looks at the camera and says something like "Welcome to no-muffler Newton". I've also seen references to registering cars in Montana to save money as there's no sales tax. One website I read added "Besides saving money in taxes, some people also choose to register their vehicles in Montana because it’s convenient. In this state, there are no vehicle inspections and emissions tests nor are there residency requirements to register a vehicle there." RogerDuke 1 Quote

It's only a couple of miles from Castaic Junction and Six Flags Magic Mountain, both of which were used as Dukes filming locations. I'm very familiar with that area and was watching the news to see how they did over there. Went fishing many times at Castaic Lake with my brother and, of course, been to Magic Mountain many times. My Rosie (I named her after Rose on the Golden Girls) is shih tzu and corgi mix but is white and black. My mom says I should have called her checkers. HA. I'd love to see Lulu but I understand. Give her a treat for me. (My last dog was Rosco. I miss him...) RogerDuke and Hobie Hartkins 1 1 Quote
Spike Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Was a beautiful morning with the snow we got late yesterday and a clear sky this morning so we went to the park and took a bunch of pics. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote
Spike Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Fellow Hazzard-ites if you live around the Great Lakes batten down the hatches as there are 50+mph winds coming with the storm front this weekend. Barometric pressure will take big swings too so you might get a headache. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote
Hobie Hartkins Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I hope everybody will check in here when all this is over. Hoss may not be affected but this weather is about to affect most everyone it seems! Even the people down here in the holy land! Quote

We had Storm Éowyn back in January with winds of over 80mph in parts of Ireland (Scotland recorded a gust of 135mph) which left nearly 15% of the country without power. Some people in rural communities were without power for over two weeks. Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote

It's pronounced Ay-oh-win. Each storm season, Met Éireann (Ireland) collaborates with the UK Met Office and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) to come up with a list of storm names. Éowyn was one of the submissions from the UK Met Office. Although it looks like it might be Gaelic, it was probably taken from JRR Tolkien’s 'The Lord of the Rings' where Éowyn is a noblewoman of the kingdom of Rohan. Quote
