As I recall, Doc Petticord didn't appear in 'Duke vs Duke' - the nurse helped Cooter out of his office, which is when we saw the sign with his first name, but we didn't actually see the doctor.

BRUCE Howard

Writer of over a dozen episodes of Dukes. He claimed that work was harder to get after Dukes started showing up on his résumé. That was after it took him three years to live down writing for Gilligan's Island! :)
