...as my wife would say... When you start talking like them all the time  :rofl:I started doing that for a while when we were binge watching all the seasons a few years ago lol.

Sorry about that, folks! I'm going to have to move HNet to a new host, as this one has become flakey. This particular error has happened way too often, but I usually catch it fairly early. This time, however, I was laid out with back spasms for the past two days and have done more sleeping than stuff on the computer. If you notice HNet down, feel free to email me at webmaster--AT--hazzardnet.com.

5. You name your kids or animals after characters in the show. (Oh I plan on doing this one!)

I sort of did this. Named my dog Dixie, after the horn.

I like to watch a high-brow UK quiz show called Only Connect, which involves trying to find the connections between groups of often seemingly unrelated things. In the third round of the show (the Connecting Wall), the contestants have to find the four groups of four from a grid of 16, with overlaps between the possible groups.

In this week's episode (below), the first square on the board of the third round said "Appleby", so I immediately thought that there must me a group of TV doctors. It took me a few seconds to realize that Doc Appleby was a little too obscure even for Only Connect. I guess I've been watching too much Dukes again ;).

BTW. For anyone who watches the video below, this isn't stereotypical of British quiz shows, but it is an example of the wide range we enjoy!

This is getting bizzare! Today I saw Hoss's post. Earlier today I saw a commercial for Applebee's Restaurant. Yesterday I was at a basketball game and a player's last name was Appleby. My mother-in-law went to Cleveland the day before that to see a dementia specialist named Dr Appleby. Four Applebys in three days!....even though they aren't spelled the same that's pretty amazing! To add to the coincidence I had a piece of apple pie just before I logged in (I swear I'm not making that up)

I must be watching it too much.....I've found myself using expressions from the characters, like when Boss says something and at the end of his sentence he says, " Don'tcha know?"  I've caught myself saying something like, " If we don't hurry up, they'll get there before us, don't you know?

I do the same thing. Another thing that I did just last week was write hazzard when I wasn't talking about the Dukes. It was on a different website than this one and spell check caught the extra Z. My first reaction was that spell check was wrong.

Believe it or not I've never owned a cell phone. I've also never owned a credit card or ATM card. My wife has all of them though. I just like the low-tech lifestyle. We have a few Amish around and I've always admired them.....Except for the part where they don't watch Dukes.
