Meadowmufn
The FBI put out a statement today after investigating. From the evidence (photos/video) they've compiled, turns out, the "noose" has been there since at least October 2019 and was actually a garage door pull. https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/2020/06/noose-found-in-bubba-wallaces-garage-was-there-since-2019-feds-say.html Garrett Duke

But it sure put Nascar in the headlines this weekend and I'm sure some extra eyes on the race yesterday . Garrett Duke

I assume to distinguish between him and his Dad.

So it doesn't look like NASCAR retires numbers as they do in other sports. Though I do believe they should retire the #24 and #48 after Johnson retires. Because 24 will always be Jeff Gordon (sorry William Byron...he can drive #25!) #48 will always be Jimmie Johnson. Just saying... Whose Dad has no contact info? Bubba's? Who else owns Petty Motorsports?

You can read more about the organization here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Petty_Motorsports. Last time a Petty had majority ownership was with Petty Enterprises and 2008 was it's last year in Nascar before they merged with Gillet Evernham Motorsports in 2009. Petty Enterprises is still around but it now modifies street cars. They put out some nice muscle cars as of late . Spike
Once again mother nature delayed Cup races this time the double header at Pocono. Kevin Harvick won Saturday's rain delayed race, his first Pocono win. Denny Hamlin finished 2nd, Aric Almirola 3rd, Christopher Bell 4th and Kyle Busch 5th. Michael McDowell finished 8th with a strong run from starting 26th. Chris Buescher finished 10th from starting 24th. Sunday's race was also rain delayed and Denny Hamlin won with Kevin Harvick finishing 2nd. Eric Jones 3rd, Chase Elliot 4th and Aric Almirola 5th. Matt Dibenedetto finished 6th which is his 4th top 10 of the season. This weekend both Xfinity and cup races at Indianapolis are on NBC. Xfinity starts at 3pm Saturday afternoon. Cup starts at 4pm Sunday afternoon.

Roth Potter
Watched as much as I could. Saturdays race lasted till almost 2 AM but I had to see Harvick win. Sunday I had to shut off before the finish. It was just getting too late. Some odd crashes happened in that race I must say. Spike
Interesting...https://www.jayski.com/2020/06/29/penske-has-yet-to-offer-brad-keselowski-a-contract-for-2021/ Could that mean Brad Keselowski would finally drive for Hendrick Motorsports like originally planned, taking over the #48 next season. Roger probably wants to pay him less $$$, sure is interesting that they haven't even thrown an offer at him yet though since he already won 2 races this season. I'm not too big of a Keselowski fan...tho do have more patience for him the last couple of years. Though I do find it ironic that if it does, then the guy who he wrecked and got into a fight with a few years ago, would own a majority of his car. Just my two cents on the topic... He originally was supposed to end up at Hendrick Motorsports but at the time, 2010, they didn't have an open seat due to Mark Martin signing a contract extension thru 2011 and not enough sponsorship to run the 25 for a full time season so Penske made him an offer and he took it.
