November 7, 200718 yr Okay, it's a little early for this and I'll bring it up again but I had an idea and wanted to get some initial reaction to it. Even if only one other person wants to do this, I'd like to. I thought we should all try to watch "The Great Santa Claus Chase" (season 3) at the exact same time when it gets close to Christmas. I think it would be a nice way for the Hazzardnet family to get together for a Christmas party. The next few days after that, we could all send posts giving our thoughts on that episode. Of course, we'd have to agree on a time (or even schedule two times). We'd have to consider our family members in Europe and try not to schedule it too late at night for them. This would involve a little time zone coordinating on our part to DST (Duke Standard Time) Any thoughts?
November 7, 200718 yr sounds like a fine plan RogerDuke... too bad I aint got the DVD for that season yet, im gettin them for christ mas lol.. but it still sounds great!
November 8, 200718 yr Sounds good as long as I can login to the chatroom. Lately it has not been letting me.
December 6, 200817 yr Author Hey does anybody want to have a Hazzard Christmas party? I think we should try to set a date for everybody to get in the chat room and talk about Christmas. We should try to make it early evening (maybe 6 or 7:00 EST) so our European Duke cousins could join. Any suggestions for a date? Should we make it a week day or weekend?
December 7, 200817 yr Sounds like fun...but Im like Lori I aint got that season But it would be fun readin what the other people have to say bout it...n then with Christmas so near...it would be fun I think.
December 7, 200817 yr You always have good ideas Rog...Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not good for me...but pretty much any other time is...
December 7, 200817 yr Author Hey Redneck Girl, If you notice the years on the last few posts, the idea I had to watch the Christmas episode together is from '07. This year I was simply proposing getting together in the chatroom sometime and talk about Christmas in general. I can see how you would miss that. I've made a similiar mistake before too. What about Monday Dec 22 at 7 (EST)?
December 7, 200916 yr Author How about a Hazzard County Christmas party this year? We have a couple weeks to nail down a date and time for us to all get together in the chat room and talk about Christmas and drink some egg nog. Does anybody want to be the first to propose a date and time to chat?
December 7, 200916 yr I'd love to how about on or around the 23rd? say around 9 pm?Maybe that could work...we have two weeks off of school for Christmas Vacation and the 23rd would be good...im not sure about 9 pm....I missed last years party...anyway we still have time though.
December 8, 200916 yr Author Would 9:00 EST be too late for you Bo considering the time difference? I'm good with that date and time.
December 8, 200916 yr Would be more helpful if it was a little earlier because I wont be able to be on for more than a couple of hours but yeah if that's what everyone's okay with i'll just nap before lol
December 8, 200916 yr Author I guess if it was moved to 8:00 that would be 6:00 for you folks in Texas right? Would that be too early? Of course, if we started at 6 (Texas time) you could always show up a little late if you're still eating supper or something. Any thoughts?
December 8, 200916 yr I wish 6 worked for me but my kids only get to bed at 8:30 or so. But if that time works for everyone else then I'll just figure out something.
December 8, 200916 yr I was here for both last year and will be this year if there is one. What time did we do it last year? started around 7-8ish?

Any thoughts?Well..I'm sure 6:00 for me would be about right, but this is up to ya'll.
December 9, 200916 yr Keeping in mind the various time zones everyone's in (all over the world. Khee!), why not just open the doors at 6 EST on the 23rd and have everyone come when they can? Keep the drinks on ice, cookies on the table and keep Rosco from eating it all and all should be good. Whoever's left at the end of the night to shut the place down will have to clean up and sweep the floor. Khee!
December 9, 200916 yr Author Great idea MaryAnne!!!I'll be watching the "Number of Users Chatting" very closely so I'm not the last one out. The way the egg nog flew last year, it won't just need swept, it's gonna need mopped too.
December 9, 200916 yr Lol I wish I had been here last year! I like the plan I'll be by as soon as I get the kids to bed that night. Looking forward to it!

It's not like I get many chances to eat some anyways. But that eggnog I am not touching, not after seeing what happened last year.
December 10, 200916 yr That eggnog musta been potent stuff! Wait, was I at the Christmas shindig last year? I can't even remember...I musta drank the eggnog.
December 10, 200916 yr LOL I can hardly wait to see what happens at this years party! Wish I had been at last years....anyone have any memories they would like to share about past parties?
December 10, 200916 yr Author LOL MaryAnne had so much fun at last year's party she can't even remember it. Maybe if she drinks too much egg nog this year again we can all slip out while she's not looking. By the way MaryAnne, did I mention how much I like your idea of how the last one left at the party has to clean up?!
