"Hank what's gotten inta ya! I ain't ever lied ta ya about somethin' this serious!"

Joe couldn't believe what he was hearing and it was only making his anger at Lorraine even madder...he had a very great burning desire to ruin her looks forever then see how she would live with herself...

Hank shook his head in disgust as he made his way to the stable and Fly.

Fly was still laying down in her stall, her foot still sore.

Joe carefully got to his feet, swallowing gently as he realized that this was something he was going to have to do on his own...

Hank sighed. Fly wouldn't be of much good to him. He quickly left the barn and started walking to town to find Loraine not knowing that she was in one of the fields coming towards him.

Loraine sped on out of sight of the James boys, she fired another round at them as she ran upon Hank she pulled back on Trigger him coming to a complete stop. Loraine looked to Hank and caught her breath,"Hank?"

Hank swung up behind her. "Let's get outta here..."

Loraine was stunned and shocked,"Hank? you al....."

She shook her head not questioning him, he looked furious and filled with anger, she nudged trigger in the side and with a "ya" Tigger took off full speed, Loraine dodged branches and tree logs in the road as she pulled Trigger up behind a cliff (The mnodern day Lover's Rock) She tied trigger to a tree branch and looked to Hank.

Hank looked right back at her before pulling her into his arms and kissing her.

Joe looked around the farm and decided to take the cart, hooking it up to one of the horses Jerimiah used and heads into town.

Loraine kissed Hank back, when she pulled away she looked to him and asked him,"Hank, honey whats wrong?? you look like you could kill someone?"

She bought knew it was prolly Joe.

Hank shook his head. "Don't you worry none...it's done now...I wanna come with ya..."

It wasn't long before Joe reached town, looking around before deciding to go look round the James brothers and Lorraine's room for clues.

Loraine raised her borws at him,"Hank, you sure?? I mean.....I....uh.....I dont know if thats such a good idea or not darlin'."

Loraine couldn't say that she WAS running with the James Brothers' Hank'd be heart broken fer sure.

"Look...I ain't goin back there...we can start a life together...you can't tell me you don't feel the same thing I feel for you...I can see you do...I see it in yer eyes..."

Loraine looked to Hnak and stared into his sky blue eyes, she did love him, but she knew she couldn't, she shouldn't fall inlove with him be it was sooo hard not to though.

"Hank, you don't know how much I want to, you honeslty don't. I just, I don't think you should leave yer Uncle Jeremiah or yer Aunt Lucinda."

Loraine looked down at the ground. She didnt know what to do now.

"I ain't lavin them...I'm leavin Joe....if you ain't goin with me...I'll go alone."

Joe snuck into the hotel, asking his friend who worked there to let him into the room which he did. Looking around, he quickly started to search for plans or anything in which to prove what he was saying before he went to tackle the sherrif with his information.

Loraine looked to him and shook her head,"No, Hank, I won't let you go alone, but how are you gonna leave Joe and not yer unlce or aunt, they do live in under the same roof?"

Loraine honeslty didn't want to let him go alone because she knew Frank and Jesse would be lookin fer him.

"I cant let you go alone honey, I just can't."

"Then come with me! Joe don't care about me...he can help out on the farm....it'd be better for everyone...and I love you Loraine."

The words cut through to Loraine's heart,"I......I love you too Hank, but..."

She avoided the subject and changed it wanting to leave it at that,"Lets sleep on it, its been along day and Ive done been in my fair share of fights today."

Loraine put her hand on the red mark Frank had left on her, it burned bad and caused her head to hurt.

Hank leaned forward removing her hand and kissing the red mark tenderly.

Loraine leaned her head against Hank's cheek and gently rested it there. When she looked to him she let a tear slip from her eyes and smiled to him. She had to get him away from here, all the Dukes somehow, sos they wont get killed. Frank and Jesse wouldnt only kill one, but all. Loraine soflty pulled away from Hank's grip and walked to pull off a sleeping bag from Trigger. She laid it down on the ground, unfolding it,"Here ya go, lay down here and take yer mind off things darlin; we'll worry with it when the sun comes up."

Loraine smiled to Hank looking up to the skies as if looking for an answer.

Joe sat on one of the beds, frustrated at not being able to find anything...it was then that he heard the crumple of paper and looked underneath the sheets...

Hank sat down on the sleeping bag pulling Loraine down to sit beside him.

Loraine smiled as she scooted down on the sleeping bag, laying her head in Hank's lap. She rolled on her back to look up to him smiling. And then it happened, all of what she had intentionally been there to do melted away and was gone in an instant. Loraine knew it had happened and she couldn't stop this feeling, she really did love him.

"Hank, I just couldn't help but wonder, a fine man like yerself, when I first arrived here I figured sure some lady here in Sleepy City would've stolen yer heart fore me?"

Loraine couldn't help but wonder if he was courtin someone at the time of her arrival.
