Oh man I just realized what day it is today. December 12, 1997. My dad's Dad my Grandpa's death date anniversary. 😢😭 💔

Grandpa was born in 1917 and would be as old as the Titanic. 😲

Not quite. Titanic sank in 1912 (its keel was laid down in 1909).

The Titanic left Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland on April 11th, 1912, hit the iceberg just before midnight on the 14th, and sank on the 15th.

BTW. Cobh is pronounced like "cove".

I double-checked before posting my reply above, and every source I found said it sank on the 15th. The iceberg hit was late on the 14th.
