For those who haven't decided wether to get Opry tickets or not... mention *Dukes*, recieve $5 off a ticket for June 2nd & 3rd shows when purchase is made by May 26th, 2006. There is a limit of 8 for the discount, & it's not valid for Gold Circle seats or previous purchases. There is also a $5 discount on adult admission at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, if Dukefest tickets or armband is presented. An event schedule has not been released yet that I know of. Usually cast members are there for the whole weekend. Daney

(joint post: March 28th, 2006) Kristy laughs silently for a moment as she glances around at everyone as relief floods thickly through her. "I think The General would look better in pink," she finally says. "Oooo, pink and lavender!" Enos exclaimed. A big grin brightened his expression. "Hey Kristy, how is Bo doing?" Kristy gives Enos a big smile as her thoughts picture a pink and lavender General before returning onto her injured brothers. Kristy's smile seems to broaden momentarily as she pictures Bo's reactions would be if he were there to hear them talking about paining his prized car lavender and pink. Turning to Daney she finally says, "He seems to be doing fine. Last I had seen him, him and Garrett were challenging each other to a race to see who had the fastest car. Back to his old self it seems...them both." "Bo always was a fast healer," Daney replied with a smile. "And nothing perks him more than that car. I was pretty sure Garrett would be alright." "Uh huh," Luke said and looked between his cousins. "There is nothing like being here in Hazzard County." "You can say that again," Kristy nods before pausing momentarily, "it sure has helped reform Garrett from his old friends...never thought there would be a day he'd fight against them. Don't get me wrong, he still is no saint and never will be, but at least he's away from them." Rosco gave the prisoners a look. He raised a hand to keep them quiet. Kristy deserved a chance to express how she felt. But one of the gang didn't stay quiet. "He's lucky to have a sister like you," the red head said. Daney nodded in agreement. "You got that right." She took a few steps and gave Kristy a hug. "She's the best!" Kristy blushes before stepping back to take in the prisoners in embarrassment. Embarrassment because she had momentarily forgotten they were there when she had fallen into thought about her brother's past. Looking back at Daney and the rest she replies quietly, "Thanks." "You're welcome," Daney answered. "Grits and greens, is it Sadie Hogg Day?" Enos asked, the sound of double doors swinging closed echoed through the room. "Judas Priest On A Pony," Rosco declared at seeing a small figure dressed in a white cowgirl suit, hat and boots. "Mama, mama look what Miss Lulu gave me." Jamie ran across the room. Kristy smiles broadly at her daughter as she bends down to hug her daughter before taking in the outfit that Jamie displays proudly. "That was very nice of her," Kristy finally says, "You look just like a little cowgirl." Jamie held onto her mom for a moment. "I'm glad you like it." Then she glanced innocently at Rosco. "Do you have anything in kid size for Shay?" "No but we could probably get an outfit," Rosco paused. "Where's Boss and Lulu?" Jamie grinned. "They are napping with Shay at their house." "You came over here all by yourself?" Jamie let go of her mom. Her little head shook. "He brought me," She pointed toward Cletus. He just waved at the group. She looked at Enos. "How soon can that be ready for Shay, I think Uncles Garrett and Bo would get a good laugh seeing him dressed in uniform." She smiled. Enos gulped. "Miss Jamie, I'll get right on that. Maybe an hour or two?" "That'd be great!" She laughed. Kristy smiled at her daughter while silently wondering how she grew up so fast, seeming to have matured a lot over the past few months. "Now Jamie," Kristy says, "that'd be cute to see Shay in an outfit...especially you two together. But we don't need to be greedy." "It'd be cute," Enos agreed. "See?" Jamie smiles up at Kristy who nudges her daughter who silently nods before looking up at Enos. "Thank-you." "Kristy, it's ok. I think it's a good idea, khee." Rosco smiled mischievously. Balladeer: Now y'all ain't that something? Garrett's completely free from his old gang while Jamie and Shay are teamed up to be the law. Somehow I think they could do just a good a job of patrolling Hazzard as the law they have now. ~The End~

(posting after Kristy proof read) ~ ~ ~ “Ahhh,†Boss pretended to be dismayed at Jamie winning a game of go fish. He set the last two cards in his left hand down on the coffee table. “Who taught you to play so well?†“My mom,†the kindergartner exclaimed proudly. She looked over at her younger brother playing with the cb mic. Jamie glanced at the dark eyed, white suited man. “How we gonna get any notifications if he’s messing around?†Boss smiled. He waved his right hand toward the phone on the desk. “It’ll be alright, Jamie.†He glanced at the littlest Duke boy. The county commissioner remembered what Lulu had said. “Does he need changed?†Jamie leaned in her chair, then shook her head. “He don’t smell funky.†“Oh,†Boss sighed in relief. “Want to play more cards?†“Yeah,†Jamie replied. She gathered the deck and began to put it together. Her and Boss discussed game strategy until interrupted by a tickling of ivories. They looked over to see Shay had discovered the piano. “Mr. Hogg, you think Miss Lulu would mind if we danced?†Jamie asked. Boss shook his head and got out of his seat. “Why should she?†“It can be noisy,†Jamie smiled. Boss took the card deck from the little girl’s hands. Lulu watched Shay continue hammering keys from the staircase landing. She smiled as Boss and Jamie moved gracefully from the dining room through the left side of the living room, through the open French doors that separated the right side living dining room from the foyer. She snuck down the staircase, flowered dress swishing across each step. Lulu crept over and turned the record player on. Shay peered over a bib clad shoulder to see where the sound echoing through the house had come from. He giggled, and waved to Miss Lulu. A finger to his mouth as if to say hush. Then the little boy laid down, curled up on the piano seat bench. ~ ~ ~ From the holding cell, Rocker and his gang listened to one of Garrett’s cousin animated conversation with Rosco. “Knoxville has more claim on ‘em, A few could plea out on probation or nothing.†The Sheriff stated. Daney saw her older cousin’s expression. “Luke, take a look at the APB on Haas alone.†“Hey,†Haas exclaimed after hearing his name brought up. Daney went over to the cell. “Nothing personal,†She explained. “You a lawyer?†One of the other fellas asked. Daney laughed. “That’s cute. No - cousin ain’t thinking clearly.†“What?†Luke muttered. They could serve their time in Hazzard, then be sent back to Knoxville. “Boss is always talking about lack of county funds,†Daney paused. “Civic duty.†Rosco nodded. “I think Jesse would agree.†Luke frowned. His uncle probably would, he would see the positive about Bo and Garrett still being here. In Knoxville, according to a few of the files, that was not the case. “So we just let all criminals go?†The dark haired Duke offered defensively. “Don’t be silly,†Rosco replied. “They’re not being let go, just transported to face their activities elsewhere.†“A $10,000 reward,†Enos waved a sheet of paper like a 4th of July sparkler. The gang chorused almost in unison. “Really?†“That’s what this says.†Enos took a step and held the print out for his commanding officer and Luke to read. “Which heist?†Rocker demanded sullenly. Luke gulped. Amount could be a good step, fresh start for Garrett providing it wasn’t a crime he had been involved with. He could collect the reward. “Ten thousand,†he whistled softly. Even if Boss found a way to get his hands on some of the money, it was better than his cousins having to look over their shoulders all the time. He stared at Rocker. “What if we drop the charges?†“We’d be even,†the leader stated quietly. He glanced around at his associates, who each nodded in acceptance of his words. Then he mischievously looked at the Sheriff. “Are you going to prosecute the person that helped Garrett escape?†“Uh,†Rosco blinked. “How you know someone did?†“Sheriff, you run a decent establishment,†Rocker complimented the law man. “Thank you,†Rosco ran his left index finger along the black Stetson that sat on the desk. He glanced over at the filing cabinet, then back to the cell. Really didn’t even matter if someone had tried to assist Garrett. If it helped with settling the inmates about going back to Knoxville… He turned back in time to see Rocker reach a hand through two of the metals bars, brush his finger tips over strands of long brunette hair. Daney tilted her head against the bars in response. She had just barely felt the cold touch. Since no one had seen Garrett escape, it was possible he had gotten out of the cell another way. The Sheriff’s Department could have defective equipment. “Ten thousand could do wonders for this place,†She said. “Fancy catalogue gadgets,†Enos mused happily. “Repair bill tab at Cooter’s for patrol cars,†Luke teased the Sheriff and deputy. “A paint job for the General Lee,†Rosco grinned. “Lavender...†(cue Kristy)
