If they only have a contract for a certain amount of airing rights and can't renegotiate terms, a channel can no longer show a program. Anyone else seen the recent ad on CMT? Farewell Tour Of The Dukes - starts May 28th. Unfortunally, no amount of snail mail, phone calls & online petitions will help if the company who owns the rights to the Dukes Of Hazzard wants to no longer air it on CMT. ION has a deal with Warner Brothers - it's possible DOH if taken off CMT, could end up there or another channel.

He has a contract obligation to Chicago musical. Cooter's Place website has posted about this.

Cooter's website states the cast will be at the Palace sometime after 9:30pm.

Good question, Dixie. My guess is it might be the same as last year, Opry, then Palace. The schedule is always subject to change even at the last moment.

Sometimes actors have it in their contract, that they may do other projects. It's also possible that the writer for that episode just didn't write the character into many scenes, or the executives wanted to change things up a bit for an episode and see how viewers responded.
