513 as in $513,000 or $51,300? Junkyard came and picked up the Cavalier today . Sad seeing her go. Wish I could have given it to someone for a parts car but the junkyard gave me an offer I couldn't pass up.

Did ya make out like a bandit? Or did the bandits get you? Found out last month this one guy that has annual garage sales we go to got screwed before the housing boom. He sold his cabin on Lake Erie for nowhere near what it was worth because he had some medical bills to pay. The buyer lowballed him and with Covid lockdown beginning he figured he wouldn't get a better offer so he took it.

Kurt Busch is moving to the 2nd car for 23XI Racing in 2022 will be driving #45 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/08/27/kurt-busch-to-drive-second-car-for-23xi-racing/ with that Kurt will be the only current driver to drive for every manufacturer since his debut in cup. I wonder since this is Kyle and Adam Petty's old number if that means they are getting the charter that RPM is currently leasing to RWR. And the car numbers are moving forward

Woke up early this morning to what sounded like someone dumping buckets of water on the roof. Turned on the local weather radar channel and seen a big blotch if red right above our area. According to the local news In less than an hour we got over 2 inches, possibly 3 inches, of rain, 10 miles west of us got over 5 inches of rain in the same time frame. And the lightning, never seen anything like it, there was so many flashes you could read a book by the light of it. Where we park the cars is sort of a peak in the parking lot luckily so the water never reached our cars, but some of the cars parked in the lower section of the lot had water upto the bottom of the doors. The downpour was so fast that it even moved some of the parking pads into the middle of the parking lot. Glad to hear you're ok Hobie

It was ok getting up there, coming down not so easy, thank god I used to do Yoga everyday which made it easier to balance myself on a not so stable ladder. Biggest yard I ever mowed with a push mower was 3/4 acre, had to stop to refuel the mower up to finish the yard, Lady paid me $40 to do it so not bad for about 2hrs work. She ended up selling the house 2 months after hiring me to mow and the new owners were going to have their kids mow so it was nice while it lasted. You know Roger if you get yourself a goat or two and they could take care of the mowing for ya as long as you can keep them from eating everything else in sight.

We're supposed to have feels like temps in the 100's today. Not looking forward to getting on my dad's garage roof to patch the hole this afternoon caused by the tree branches a few weeks ago. Will be fun since he buried the 16' ladder in there and I can only get too the 8'A ladder. After that the only thing left on the list of my uncle's demands is cleaning my dad's garage out. Only things going back in there is what belongs in there, everything else is either getting sold, trashed or scrapped and if my dad has a problem with that he can bleep to his brother about it. Wife's checking out storage units today for the stuff we have in there. Hobie if you're in that flooding mess, thoughts and prayers to ya.

Hobie did all that rain in Tennessee affect you? Man 17 inches of rain in 24hrs has to be a new record for anywhere in America. Friday we finally figured out what was rattling in the wife's car, turned out the rear shocks were the cause. That noise has been puzzling us and the mechanics for the past few months. I though it might have been a loose exhaust pipe. One mechanic thought it was the bushings. I was able to pinpoint the sound was coming from the left rear while driving around our apartment parking lot. One mechanic went with the wife for a drive and he climbed half into the trunk to pinpoint the source and felt a lot of vibration in the LR shock tower. He put it on the lift and checked the bushings and they seemed fine so he ordered a set of shocks and thank God that was the problem. Now the car is quiet again and we can drive it without worrying if anything is going to fall off and leave her stranded somewhere.

Ryan Blaney stole the win at MIS yesterday. 3 of the 4 Hendrick Motorsports cars dominated most of the race swapping the lead several times. On a late race restart Kyle Busch pushed Ryan Blaney to the lead before falling back to 7th. Ryan Blaney was able to hold off both Kyle Larson and William Byron in the final exciting laps. Austin Dillon was having an awesome race till Brad Keselowski turned him at the start finish line shortly after Stage 2. Top 10 1 Ryan Blaney 2 William Byron 3 Kyle Larson 4 Kurt Busch 5 Denny Hamlin 6 Matt Dibenedetto 7 Kyle Busch 8 Chase Elliott 9 Brad Keselowski 10 Martin Truex Jr Erik Jones signed a 1 year contract extension with Richard Petty Motorsports for 2022 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/08/22/erik-jones-returning-to-rpm-in-2022/ NFL Great Emmitt Smith is adding Nascar team owner to his resume https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/08/21/nascar-emmitt-smith-jesse-iwuji-xfinity-series-team/ will be teaming with driver Jesse Iwuji to start an Xfinity team for 2022.

If you get the Circle country channel in your area then I can recommend the Dinner Drive with Kyle Petty show. The interviews aren't limited to race car driver's though they make up the majority of the 1st season so far. It airs at 8pm eastern Thursday nights and replays Saturday nights at 8:30pm eastern. You can catch the first episode here https://m.facebook.com/kylepetty45/videos/107011838239506/?_se_imp=0PciTQcTzCkFGArmN

That's crazy what happened with the one coaster at Cedar Point. They're covering their butts too, local news media has been trying to get more info but everyone except witnesses are using the 'No Comment' line. Funny how the piece of debris mysteriously disappeared in all the chaos too. There was more family drama last night. I told the wife if she wants out of all the drama I won't fight her in a separation, i told her one of us should be able to escape and have a happier life. Funny yesterday was a pretty good day; seen an Indigo Bunting at the park, made my peace with having to get rid of my project cars, then my uncle calls and well so much for a good day. Seems my dad failed to mention he was the one that parked the one car behind the garage or that all the bicycles on the side of the garage are ones he brought home or that most of the crap in the garage is his but I guess I'm the fn hoarder so whatever...I just don't care anymore.

Kurt Busch reportedly has two offers on the table for 2022 but hasn't elaborated any further than that. Sunday's Cup Indy RC race was the least watched Indianapolis Cup race besides the 2018 Monday rain postponed race https://www.jayski.com/2021/08/17/indianapolis-tv-ratings-4/ Nascar is reinstating some Covid protocols such as masks and social distancing https://www.jayski.com/2021/08/17/nascar-implements-several-covid-19-protocol-adjustments-beginning-this-weekend/ . So we won't be seeing the media on top of the driver's anymore this year. They'll have to put their phones and mics on selfie sticks again lol. I don't know why but I found it funny seeing all those poles shoved in driver's faces. I just thought any minute now a pissed of racer is going to take one of those poles and either break it or swing it at someone lol. The races are at Michigan this weekend but on NBCSN.

Britney Spears For her recent ahem "tribute" to Daisy Duke. In case you Google it, it is definitely NSFW and that goes for Work or Wives because if your wife sees ya looking at her you might get a frying pan upside yer head .

Read it on the Nascar Reddit page. It was also on Twitter, that's what the reddit post linked to. The tweet I wouldn't call a reliable source though. Ryan Newman is coming to terms that this is probably his last Cup season https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/08/15/nascar-ryan-newman-future-indianapolis-motor-speedway/ AJ Allmendinger won the craziest Indy race since the 2008 tire debacle race. Turn 6 curbing came apart in the final stage and destroyed several cars taking out 1/4 of the field and at least half of the remaining that were still running at the end we're just limping to the finish. Denny Hamlin looked like he was going to win the inaugural Indy RC cup race until Chase Briscoe spun him thinking he was still racing for a win after Nascar penalized him for shortcutting the course even though he gave the lead back to Denny. NBC compounded fan issues by switching over to golf instead of airing the final restart and finish on NBC. That last stage was a poop show, from the curb coming apart to the driver's racing like it's a last lap demo derby. One good thing is some driver's that rarely get a top ten on the ovals got one here. Top 10 1 AJ Allmendinger 2 Ryan Blaney 3 Kyle Larson 4 Chase Elliott 5 Matt Dibenedetto 6 Kurt Busch 7 Erik Jones 8 Justin Haley 9 Austin Cindric 10 Ryan Newman

I get the feeling it's going to be like those Jenny Kaboom cartoons from the Animaniacs cartoon show from the 90's. She was already riled up from the crap he's been pulling the past few weeks with him coming up with every excuse not to drive. Yesterday we went over there to grab some mementos from the cars before they get hauled off to the junkyard. I grabbed all the badges off of them and an interior piece from the dash of the Monte Carlo. My dad came out 'Did you find the title yet?' My wife said 'Really? You going to start already. No hello how are you. Just where's the title.' My dad went back into the house lol. She's a fireball

Here's a rumor way out of left field...Front Row Motorsports might sell one or both of it's charter's to 23XI Racing and/or become another Joe Gibbs Racing satellite team and switch to Toyota's for 2022.

Well looks like my dad's garage will need to be demolished. With all the weight of the branches or the force that they hit it with the garage has a lean to the right to it now. The roof has holes in it now as well so until the branches get removed the stuff we have stored in there could get ruined since we can't open the big door to get stuff out. To top it off it looks like he won't make an insurance claim "because my deductible is to high" so if our stuff is already ruined we're SOL. If that's the case I'll let my wife release all her pent up rage.

Jimmie Johnson is open to running more Nascar Cup series races if the right opportunity comes along https://www.jayski.com/2021/08/11/jimmie-johnson-would-seriously-consider-running-nascar-race-if-right-opportunity-comes-along/ Rumor is Kurt Busch has a ride lined up but is waiting for the team to announce it publicly. Nascar is back on NBC this Sunday at The Brickyard but on the the road course. Will be interesting to see which team can get the setup right.

Storms that rolled through yesterday took down some branches at my dad's narrowly missing the neighbor's house again. Neighbor called me yesterday at 6am about it to which I replied why call me it's not my house. The one branch landed on her patio table but not shattering it however it did knock over the chairs. My dad's garage bore the full brunt of the branches and I hope it's not leaking as my miter saw and vintage B&D Workmate table it's attached to is in there along with some my wife's grandmother's stuff she got after she passed away is stored in there. Guess my uncle is going to get the trees taken down even though it's my dad's house and property lol. Whatever, my uncle wants to keep enabling him even though he can be a responsible adult then he can have the fun cuz I'm sick of dealing with this .

He also took a monster truck and drove it in the ocean even after being told not too. He seems like the type that's trying to make his 15 minutes of social media Fame last forever.
