Wonder if the Duke boys would have jumped this around Hazzard. I love that the stripes follow the curve of the body. Hope it gets restored with that paint job. Heck put the 1776 flag on the roof and call it General Washington.

The price of some products have really gone up. I did the grocery shopping Friday, since we had plans for the weekend and it was raining all day so I wasn't going to be mowing, and got a bit of sticker shock on some of the groceries. Some of the items have increased by a dollar or more within the past few months. 12 pack of soda is now $6, month ago it was between $4.50-5 depending on the store. Store brand spaghetti sauce went from 99 cents to $1.30-1.50. Bread went up about a quarter. Gas shot up around here as well last week, you're lucky if you can find a station under $3 a gallon now, highest price is $3.59. Mother nature flipped the switch on the weather. Went from 70's and 80's Thursday to the 50's for high temps over the weekend. Expecting our first frost this Friday night.

Texas was another dominating run for Kyle Larson winning stage 2 and the race and leading the most laps. This is his 8th win of the season which puts him in a class of just 17 driver's that have won 8 or more races in a season. Some of the playoff contenders had a bad race. Joey Logano's engine blew. Martin Truex Jr suffered a part failure that caused him to hit the wall hard and retire from the race. Denny Hamlin got a little karma back late in the race after using his bumper to move some out of the way. He got a tire rub that blew his tire. Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick raced each other hard but clean. Top 10 1 Kyle Larson 2 William Byron 3 Christopher Bell 4 Brad Keselowski 5 Kevin Harvick 6 Ryan Blaney 7 Chase Elliott 8 Kyle Busch 9 Tyler Reddick 10 Daniel Suarez

Stocking up isn't irresponsible, that's just being smart. Stocking up after you've already stocked up is irresponsible to society. Had to stop my dad from going to Sam's club every week during lockdown because he would buy another pack of paper towels or toilet paper after we found out he had 4 packs of each already. My old bedroom is his stock room now. He has about 2 or 3 years worth of toothpaste, at least a year's stock of paper towels and toilet paper and garbage bags, enough cereal and oatmeal to probably feed a family of 4 breakfast for a few months etc...

ice is short for Internal Combustion Engine because I'm too lazy to type all those letters It appears Front Row Motorsports has backed out of selling one of their charters to 23XI Racing and will remain a 2 car team in 2022 Also forgot to mention earlier that Nascar will allow teams to use chrome numbers in 2022 as long as it doesn't pose a visual hazard.

Looks like summer ends this week. Forecast for Saturday and next week is lows in the 40's and highs in the 60's. I'll most likely bring my non native succulent's back in the house Saturday. I think this is the longest I've ever left them out, I usually have to bring them in at the end of September. Had to change one of the taillight bulbs so I ended up getting Sylvania Zevo led bulbs yesterday. The regular incandescent bulbs are now made in China and you can tell, last set I bought years ago were made in USA or mexico. The led ones were just a bit brighter than the incandescent ones and filled out the reflective area better plus they come on a few milliseconds faster.

Punch Yes D'oh is Homer's word when he screws up or hurts himself. I've been watching The Simpsons since the Tracey Ullman show.

The Hybrids are coming The Hybrids are coming... Well we have two more years of hearing the thundering sound of V8's in Nascar. They are looking to get hybrid powertrains under the hoods for 2024. At the moment it is unknown if it will be with V8's or a turbocharged V6 or I4 ice engine https://www.jayski.com/2021/10/13/nascars-phelps-say-more-changes-coming-to-schedule-in-the-future-new-engine-to-have-hybrid-components/

The Charlotte Roval race was another exciting one yesterday. Chase Elliott was having a great run, winning Stage 1 and 2nd in Stage 2, until Kevin Harvick decided to use the bumper which knocked Chase's car backwards into the wall. The #9 team was able to fix the car to keep Chase running and boy did he. He was laying laps down that were as good as the leader's. A few more cautions and he was running back up into the teens. He was about to catch Kevin Harvick in turn 1 but Kevin psyched himself out and braked too late and hit the wall hard enough to take himself out of the race. It looked like Denny Hamlin was going to win the race but Kyle Larson got a great restart after the final caution and passed Denny in turn 3 or 4, Tyler Reddick and William Byron followed and gave chase to Kyle Larson. William Byron was in a must win scenario but unfortunately he used up his tires and was on the losing end of contact with Tyler. Kyle Larson went on to win his 7th race of the season and punched his ticket into the round of 8 playoffs. The other drivers joining him in that around are Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski. Top 10 1 Kyle Larson 2 Tyler Reddick 3 Chris Buescher 4 Kyle Busch 5 Denny Hamlin 6 Matt Dibenedetto 7 Joey Logano 8 Christopher Bell 9 Ryan Blaney 10 Alex Bowman

That's good. I read today that Windows will be rolling out the 11 upgrade soon for free if they deem your computer worthy . You can still install it if they think your PC can't handle it but you'll have to download an ISO file and either put it on a dvdr or USB drive to install it, and for updates this way you will most likely have to re-download the updated iso and install it. The other catch is you have to have a Microsoft account.

Yeah, unfortunately they weren't saying "Let's go Brandon"... I guess this pretty much confirms Ty Dillon will be driving the GMS Racing lone Cup series entry for 2022 https://amp.foxsports.com/stories/nascar/nascar-drivers-have-crucial-tests-of-next-gen-car-on-the-horizon?__twitter_impression=true Interesting that Front Row Motorsports is not participating in the test but then again with all the rumors about them and 23XI racing.

Unfortunately my dad's always been a bit of a hoarder. It's never gotten to the extreme point that are on those Hoarders shows where there's only a small path throughout the house. But it would probably take about a month to go through everything in the house and garage to make sure there's no hidden money or valuable antique or comic or Playboy book. Last week reminded me why I'd rather not go through the stuff with him because his greedy side comes out, if he thinks anything is worth money it's got to be his even if it's mine. In his haste to move a stripper into my old bedroom years ago he just threw a bunch of stuff in boxes without marking it and threw it in the 3rd bedroom. When I got home that day last week I told the wife id rather just sell the whole room and let someone else go through it all instead of dealing with the stress and angst. And speaking of Playboy did y'all catch the news yesterday on the latest cover model , good lord what is this world coming too.

I'm calling it No way is Nascar going to pass this chance up if they do I'll do a new post. The Hendrick driver's had a bad Talladega race. The 5, 24 and 48 all got caught up in wrecks. The 5 has enough points built up to survive the 2bd round but the 24 and 48 would have to win the Charlotte Roval race next week. Bubba Wallace wins his first Cup race after it got postponed and rain shortened. I think this marks the first time Trucks, Xfinity and Cup Talladega weekend races have ended with a new 1st time winner. Top 10 1 Bubba Wallace 2 Brad Keselowski 3 Joey Logano 4 Kurt Busch 5 Christopher Bell 6 Chris Buescher 7 Denny Hamlin 8 Kevin Harvick 9 Austin Dillon or Erik Jones 10 Anthony Alfredo

And speaking of hoarders my dad might have finally seen the light, of course it took his brother telling him he's a hoarder. Apparently my uncle stopped by and noticed something up against the window in the 3rd bedroom of my dad's house. Of course I'm the one that gets volunteered to do all the work again. Took me over 3 hours to make a 2 foot wide path to get to the box leaning against the window blinds not the window. I'm getting really sick of my uncle volunteering me. I had stuff I wanted to get done last week and between the kittens and my dad and uncle none of it got done.

If people wouldn't have posted pics of empty shelves in their local store on FB or Twitter or Instagram or etc... which could have been due to a product shortage or the store just not getting the delivery yet, the panic sheep wouldn't have went into buy everything of that product in sight mode. Pasta is now the must buy item, local shelves were empty of all the cheap spaghetti, was plenty of the $3-4 a pound spaghetti and pasta though lol. Here in the states people were getting up to $600 extra a week in unemployment, think that only lasted 6 months then it was lowered to $300 extra a week. Of course individual states could decide when to end the benefits which a lot of states did over the summer. We had the same problem here with people either taking a 2nd job for a week and quitting to get the unemployment benefits while they still worked or applying in someone else's name. You would have thought that a big red flag for some states would have been when the scammers wanted the check or debit card sent to another state especially ones several hundred miles away. I'm glad the feds and states are going after them and trying to get the maximum penalty.

Unfortunately Hoss it's not. People here are hoard buying food and paper goods again while others are buying up toys that are expected to be a hot thing this Christmas already to resell before Christmas. Some stores have already put a limit of 1 or 2 items per person per day. Caught the last kitten this morning and dropped them off to a local rescue shelter.

Looks like Ricky Stenhouse Jr is going to drive the lone JTGDAUGHERTY racing car next season They also might switch back to Toyota for next season.
