  1. "Well, he rode into town sometime last night and attempted to kill off Brian and Alex here and basically it's just been one great big mess and I finally decided to dispense some justice---" MaryAnne stopped suddenly and looked at Enos. "Val was campin' out with this dude?!?!" She then looked at Chet. "Awright mister....you better not have hurt or done anything to Val or you can just forget about bein' escorted to the edge of town...." (Cue Chet or Val)
  2. Well, as you can see I moved the post. =) Now....you wanted to be handcuffed by Rosco???? I just can't understand that....
  3. We take for granted our health and well being when we have it. But when something like that happens, we realize just how fragile life is and how things can change at any moment. My thoughts are with you and the family of your friend.
  4. Oh! Now I understand. LOL. I don't know of any avatars for the Dukes out on the web. (I have seen a site that has animated icons for AIM). But I will say that a future feature of HNet will be some icons for AIM and given that you've provided the demensions and file size for avatars, we can provide some of those too. 8) By the way, speaking of avatars, I'm still tryin' to figure out how to get the avatar thing to work here at HNet. Y'all stay tuned on that. LOL MaryAnne
  5. Rosco saw the Camaro's tail light go dark and he blinked. "That's funny it was workin' just a minute ago...huh, ain't never seen that before---" Suddenly Rosco stopped and he realized something. He could pull them over for a busted tail light! No. He couldn't. He wasn't driving a patrol car and the two bounty hunters already knew what he looked like and would probably bolt like scalded cats. If they didn't just shoot him dead first. Rosco picked up Diablo's CB mike. "Enos, you got yer ears on? This is Rosco..." "Right here, Sheriff! Where have you been? You and MaryAnne have been gone an awful long time and for a spell there I couldn't get you on the radio!" "Enos, will you hush! Listen, where are you right now?" "I'm on patrol on County 14. Why?" "I want you to get your butt over here to Farmer Road. I got a suspicious lookin' vee-hicle I want you to pull over." "Uh, Sheriff? You want me to come over to pull somebody over? Why can't you do it?" "Because, dipstick, I'm not in a patrol car! Now just hush and git over here. I'll explain everything later! Just git over here!!" "Yes sir! I'm gone!" Rosco sighed and dropped the CB mike. It was several minutes before he spotted the headlights of Enos's patrol car coming down another road that intersected with Farmer Road. The Camaro passed the intersection and then Enos pulled out and followed. "Sheriff, where are you?" "Nevermind where I'm at, Enos. The car infront of ya is the one I want ya to pull over. They got a busted tail light." "Ok, Sheriff...." The red and blue gumballs atop of Enos's car lit up. A short *whoop* from the siren called to the occupants in the Camaro. (cue Fargo/Anderson!)
  6. Rosco had remained at the jailhouse during the night, to keep an eye on the outlaws. MaryAnne had gone home and slept there. With the morning light, the Sheriff stirred and was soon up and about, tending to the first duties of the day. After that, he began to fix a pot of coffee and he looked in to the cells of each of the outlaws. They were all awake, he could tell, despite their sitting quietly. A few minutes later, MaryAnne came in, placing her rifle down on her desk. She looked at Rosco. "Just gotta wait for Enos," she said. (cue Enos! Val, I know you're out there. =)
  7. Pardon what's probably a stupid question but.... what's an LJ icon?
  8. KHEE!! I love it, I love it! That is too kewl! (And such a true image. ROFL) Thank ya, Pendragon! =)
  9. Holy bleep! =) Pendragon those look super! Thank you! And yes, I'd love a new MaryAnne Sims. (Tho' I love the one I got, a new one would be kewl too). Khee!
  10. Yer right, that was improper of me. Being as you are one my esteemed peers.... *places reindeer antlers on Brian's head* I hearby crown thee with the esteemed antlers. The buck stops here.
  11. What ya mean my good sportsmanship? I didn't volunteer for nothin'. *notes Razor's entrance* GAAAAHH!!! No, I am NOT the reindeer!! *looks at Brian* Keep it up cousin, or yer gonna find these antlers stickin' someplace where the sun don't shine!
  12. Y'all ever herd a more terrible pun??
  13. Reindeer shoot?! A chat on BOTH nights??? That's an awful lot of decking the halls and wassling along ya know.... too much merriment might be deterimental to some folks health. What? What's these antlers for?? Wait a minute! I'm not gonna be no reindeer!!!!! 8)
  14. MaryAnne nodded curtly and looked at the outlaws. "Very well." She looked at Chet. "You can settle down, Chet, y'all ain't leavin' until the first light of dawn." MaryAnne looked at Alex and Brian and gestured to the other cells. "Free room and board for the evenin' gentlemen. I suggest you take it. You're going to need a good night's rest because you're going to have a very long ride tomorrow....." (cue anyone!)
  15. Adn I'll bring the eggnog.... instead of coming in an elf costume. 8)
  16. I have the single disc (didn't know there was a pursiut pack!) and the single disc that I have does not have the scenes that are in the one I taped off tv. Very disheartening. LOL. I have not seen Smokey and the Bandit 3 (and given I've yet to see it on DVD, I'm thinkin' it wasn't all that great ROFL). But I have seen number 2. (Again taped off television). Anybody think that the roller coaster that gets destroyed in S&B2 is the same roller coaster seen in the background of the truck ro-day-o in the first movie? LOL
  17. Yeah... MC Gainey "No disrespect to the original but that was hokey." NO %*(!$* Sherlock!!! It was supposed to be you dipstick!!! Jit!! Frankly, they're probably having Rosco serious because they couldn't find an actor to properly protray Rosco. Kudos to James Best for breaking the mold. KHEE!
  18. Waall...I don't know much about how the whole movie premeire thang works, other than the movies have some fancy premeire in NY and Hollywood and all the people who are somebody and all the people who THINK they're somebody but they're really not show up, and probably any various cities that are in some way connected to the filming (ie, Baton Rouge might be part of the premiere stuff) and then the movie is released to the general public. I don't how far ahead of the national release the premeires are. There's somebody boppin' around this forum that would probably know that. Your best bet probably is to keep an eye on Variety online....they would have all that pertinent Hollywood insider stuff. =) Although if we find any information as we get closer to the film's release, you'll find it here. khee!
  19. MaryAnne looked at Brian and then at the other faces gathered in the jail. Hell may have been shadowed in Brian's eyes but it would find a worthy opponent within the sharp blue of the deputy. Finally, she turned to look at Chet. "I don't have any friends," MaryAnne said cooly, responding to Chet's earlier comment about Alex and Brian apparently being her 'friends' and thus she would take their side of things. "That's one of the joys of bein' a deputy...." She turned so that she could look at everyone in the jailhouse. "Now, if our three distinguished outlaws will stop lookin' at each other crosseyed for a moment, I'd like to remind y'all that you are in the Hazzard jail. And we have some guilty parties here. Sheriff, you mind telling our contestants what they could win for being guilty of horse theivin'?" "A hangin'!" "Kidnappin'?" "A hangin'!" "Causing a ruckus at the Boar's Nest Saloon?" "A hangin'!" "Receiving stolen horses?" "A hangin'!" "Causin' a general all around ruckus in this town?" "A hangin'! Uh... MaryAnne? Every crime we got on the books is punishable by hangin'. Remember? We did that to streamline things...." "So we did. Well folks, there you have it. You three could all be swinging by sun up!" MaryAnne paused, seeing the pasty white on the outlaws faces. "Or..." she continued, "given I'm in a sickingly generous mood right now, the three of you are escorted to opposite sides of this town and you leave. What happens beyond the jurisdiction of this town is not of my concern. But if I catch one of you back in town again, you'll rot in jail. I catch all three of you on the same day, you'll swing." MaryAnne looked at each of the outlaws seperately, silently asking the question: Any takers? (cue anyone! Muhahahahaha.....)
  20. "I make sure to get all sides of the story, Mr. Chet," MaryAnne said as she applied a clean dressing to Chet's wounds. "I've gotten their side of things, I'm very curious to hear yours." MaryAnne finished fixin' the clean dressing over Chet's wounds. "Which is why I'm patchin' ya up. It's a lot easier to interrogate folks when they're alive." MaryAnne grinned and then turned to look to see who had entered the jail. "Hmm....full house tonight." MaryAnne collected Chet's weapons and stepped out of the jail cell just as Rosco came in. "There you are! Where the hell you been? I got outlaws fallin' off roofs and yer out galavantin' somewhere!" Rosco blinked. "Whatya mean out galavantin'?! I'm the Sheriff, I don't galavant!" "Awright then, do me a favor. Get a statement from everybody in this room, including the two ladies here and we'll see if we can sort this thing all out!" (cue anybody!)
  21. Tempest! We're not bored at all! Nice trucks by the way. Khee! Hobbies....well, lessee this list could get odd but here we go...and apologies in advance if I bore y'all! ROFL. Dukes of Hazzard (duh. Why would I be here? ROFL). Collecting episodes, merchandise, writing stories, wasting my hours on this website. ROFL. Car restoration - 1986 Firebird. Next step is replacing the rest of the interior, hoping to do this next spring/summer. After that will be having the body refinished and re-painted....still debating on staying with black or doing a nice two-tone dark blue and silver. Khee! I too also collect anything Pontiac/Firebird/Trans Am. Also anything GM related or Dukes related Mopars. Hot Wheels, Matchbox or Johnny Lightning. DVD's.... I have an odd mix of favorite tv shows and movies. LOL. Dukes of course but also anything James Garner. I've started collecting Bob Hope films (okay I only have one right now but I'm gonna look for more. LOL). WWII movies. (Patton, Great Escape, ect...). I like old films of the 40's and 50's. Burt Reynolds movies. TV shows such as Starsky and Hutch. Waiting for Hogan's Heroes to come out on DVD. Wishing for the Rockford Files to come out on DVD. Also the Fall Guy. And Maverick. I still collect LP albums. And play 'em! =) Don't have any pets. Used to have gold fish but that was a hundred years ago. LOL. I have an acoustic guitar that I haven't had time to sit and play for about 6 years now. I did get it out once this past summer, busted a string on it, didn't have a replacement and decided I would take it to be restrung. Have yet to get around to doing that. LOL Truthfully I don't have a lot of hobbies because the bulk of my free time is spent either writing stories or tending to web page stuff between HNet and dukesofhazzardfanfic.com. If I got paid for the stories I write and the web work I do, I'd be rich. ROFL.
  22. Man I could yap about this movie for hours. My absolute favorite thing about the film is the Trans Am. However, I could especially recite dialouge...probably beginining to end. Scary. Khee! But for now, random samplings.... "Bandit, yer reckless and ya live much too hard.... I shoulda gone to Nashville!" =) "Daddy! My hat blew off!" "I hope your G--damn head was in it!" "A Texas gumball machine?" "Big town ain't it?" "Yeah. I wonder what they do for fun around here?" "Probably sit around and watch the cars rust." "Four miles. G'damn it....four miles." "Oh I love your suits! But it must be a bear, to get a 68 Extra Fat. And a 12 Dwarf." (That's the tv edited version. ROFL) Anybody ever notice that the version released on DVD has scenes missing that were added in to the television edited version?? Man that drives me nuts!! Lisa
  23. "Easy Chet! Take it easy, nobody's gonna shoot ya," MaryAnne said as she got to her feet and stood before Chet. She smiled at him and spoke gently. "You already gotta a nasty hole in ya I ain't lookin' to add anymore. Now sit back down there before you bleed all over my floor." (cue Chet or anyone)
  24. MaryAnne worked at cleaning and dressing Chet's renewed wound. Without looking up from her work, she answered Alex. "Why don't you try to bring Brian around? Get 'em some water and such." (cue Alex!)
