  1. I just updated the forum software. Everything looks good, but if you find any issues, let me know!
  2. Yeah, it's nice to have you back here, dukesonline! We hope you stick around a while.
  3. Ours went forward a few weeks ago. I still should have used that as an excuse as to why I didn't have time to put together the moderator guide.
  4. I guess this means I can go on that long vacation I've been dreaming of now. And that reminds me, I totally forgot to put together that moderator guide last weekend...
  5. By the power vested in me as the owner of HazzardNet, I hereby declare HossC as the newest moderator of our forums. Many of you know he's a long time veteran of HazzardNet and has been keeping a keen eye on the forums in my absence, so I figured we'd make it official and give him moderator superpowers to toss any spammers and riff-raff in the hoosegow.
  6. Congratulations, Hoss! Remember all of us little people when you're famous!
  7. I watched Cool Hand Luke the night before he died. He was one of my favorite character actors.
  8. Man, that crash... 18 cars. That looked gruesome. Glad everyone's ok!
  9. We got 6" of snow last night. More is expected tomorrow and 8-12" of snow predicted for Tuesday. We've never gotten this much snow ever. We're not going anywhere for a while...
  10. Oops. I posted on the FB page, but not here.
  11. Hmm... that must've happened the last time HazzardNet was hacked many years ago. Thanks for the compliments, Roger. I'm not a hero, but I'm glad HNet has brought you such happiness over the years.
  12. I am rooting FOR the Rams. As a California girl and someone who grew up near L.A., I'm a long time Rams fan. Loved the Kurt Warner years. I was hoping for a Chargers/Rams Super Bowl, but that was a huge longshot. My family lived in San Diego until the early 70's and I still have plenty of relatives near San Diego, so I've been a Chargers fan for a while too. They were my grandmother's favorite team.
  13. Guess who turned 20 years old on January 11th? Completely slipped my mind. I started HazzardNet on 1/11/1999. I want to thank everyone who has helped make HazzardNet what it is and who've stuck with me all these years. I know I haven't been around much lately due to health issues and stress from work, so I'm incredibly grateful so many of you are still here keeping the spirit of the Dukes alive.
  14. I know there's a state park named after some of my distant ancestors in NY, Letchworth State Park. Jimmie had ancestors with the same last name in the same county in the same time period as mine. I would be willing to bet that with such an uncommon name in the same area in the late 1600's/early 1700's, Jimmie and I were probably distant cousins. I just haven't been able to find a connection yet, but I keep looking. That said, I wonder if there's a castle somewhere named for or belonging to my ancestors.
  15. Jimmie was fond of limericks. Some of the ones he told me, I can't repeat here.
  16. I love that show. I found it on Netflix and watched all the episodes they had over a weekend.
  17. My sister takes the tree down the day after Christmas. We leave ours up at least halfway through January. I don't like it to end either, Roger.
  18. I'll look into it. Looks like there's an update to the software, so I'll try to get that done this weekend to see if it fixes any of the issues.
  19. I'm acquainted with Boxing Day. We have a lot of Canadians here in Washington state. I usually take a week around Christmas off and I don't go out into the hordes of shoppers (too many germs!).
  20. I'm more Scottish (mostly from Ayrshire) than Irish and I only know a bit of Scottish Gaelic. "Ciamar a tha thu?" And I'm more British than Scottish and Irish put together. I have a tiny dash of Native American. Research suggests that one of my 5th great-grandmothers was Chickasaw.
  21. Some of my ancestors are from County Down too! We have some ancestors from County Donegal and there are family rumors about County Cork too, but so far no confirmation in my research.
  22. Aw, shucks. Thanks everybody, especially Hoss for that banner. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a great Christmas with my sister's family and I had a wonderful birthday. I've got the next week off to rest and recover and I'm hoping I go into the new year feeling better. Health and happiness to you all!
  23. Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and enjoys time with family and good food.
  24. Thanks, guys. Saw the doc this week. She said I had a virus, on top of allergies, on top of my regular autoimmune issues. Fun. Hopefully, I'll be feeling better by Christmas (my birthday).
