  1. "My Kinda Party" Jason Aldean What a great song...don't know why it took me so long to think of it. Love Jason's music. Great song for my 3,000 post . Do have to admit, that I have all of his albums that he has out as of now...
  2. I missed last night's race...did want to see it since it was in Iowa. Didn't hear anything about it being on Annett's car, but they did say that they were going to be on Cassill's and Kvapil's cars today. Glad they at least showed Annett's car. But still wished they would give the case more attention for those poor girls' sake.
  3. Well the race just may be over due to rain and I have never been so HAPPY to see it rain during the race. Never thought I would say that, but before I say any more I will start to write my review as they interview the drivers... Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart started 27th and 28th today. But they both were quick to pass and move towards the front. Kyle Busch hit the wall early on in the race, he came back out and later on got caught speeding on pit road. He refused to go in at first and NASCAR was giving him warning they were about to stop counting him on the scoreboard before he went into pits. Kurt Busch hit the wall as well...not a Busch kind of race today it looks. Am very disappointed with ESPN. As I mentioned Cassill and Kvapil had the two missing girls on their car, but I heard no one mention the two girls nor did I not seen any of the two cars as of yet during the race. Know and understand that they are not top names nor up there in points or position, but would think they would take a moment to put their cause in the spotlight. Shame on ESPN and the reporters. Very disappointed with all that. Dale Earnhardt Jr finished 32nd today after finishg 18 laps down due to losing his transmission. Had fallen from first in points to fourth due to this... Well they started talking about rain as soon as the race went half way done...if the race goes halfway, then the race is over if weather interupts enough. Well on lap 95 or so after Kurt Busch's wreck's caution went green Jimmie Johnson was trying to keep in first from Matt Kenseth, Johnson's car got lose to hit Kenseth...Jeff Gordon who was fifth was able to drive around them to take the LEAD! (And since Matt was taken out in the wreck, Dale Jr is now back in first place in points.) During the caution, the rain everyone had predicted and talked about, came. They had parked the cars before it downpoured, lightning, and thundering...NASCAR had called the race...giving the win to JEFF GORDON!!!! Not only that, but now one of the wild card chases for the chase will most likely going to Jeff Gordon due to his position and his top fives...hope he sticks with it. They are racing at Watkins Glen...road course...where Gordon excels at. (This is Gordon's sixth Pocono win btw). I am a little excited as y'all may guess...LOL. I am on cloud nine right now as they say... Here is the top ten finishes of the race: 1. Jeff Gordon 2. Kasey Kahne (who finished with a flat tire) 3. Martin Truex Jr 4. Brad Keselowski 5. Tony Stewart 6. Ryan Newman 7. Carl Edwards 8. Clint Bowyer 9. Regan Smith 10. Marcos Ambrose
  4. They have just said those magical words in NASCAR "Gentlemen Start Your Engines!" Time go racing on ESPN...GO JEFF GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Well the prerace show is on ESPN as of right now but it is very depressing looking to see that it is RAINING at Pocono right now. Go figure...I stay home to watch the race and it is raining. Am not happy right now. But when the race starts, whenever that is,this is the top ten starters: 1. Juan Pablo Montoya 2. Denny Hamlin 3. Paul Menard 4. Kasey Kahne 5. Marcos Ambrose 6. Kurt Busch 7. Matt Kenseth 8. Dale Earnhardt Jr. 9. Ryan Newman 10. Jimmie Johnson There is an Iowa connection for today's race. Three weeks ago two girls, cousins 10 and 8, disappeared while going on a bike ride and they have little to no info on where they may be. Just a very sad and scary case and my t houghts and prayers remain with them. Well Landon Cassill is from Iowa...BK racing where Landon Cassill and Travis Kvapil race for, both cars will have the girls pictures on them with info on thier cars. Hope ESPN will give them good covereage whenever the race starts. . .
  6. WELCOME BACK BO JAMES! Glad to see you have returned...you've been missed.
  7. Well things for AJ Allmendinger just keeps getting worse and worse. I guess when it rains, it pours on poor AJ. Not that I feel completely bad for him. There is never a good excuse to abuse one's body with drugs and other such things and there should be no tolerance for it in life nor in sports. And if it is an illegal drug that AJ had failed his drug test, then shame on AJ and NASCAR has done the right thing. But I do feel bad for him. Seems like AJ was going through a hard time before he failed his drug tests. Then to add onto his personal problems, he has been suspended from NASCAR indefinately and is now enlisted into their recover program. If all that is not enough of an endurance test... Roger Penske, car owner of his number 22 Dodge, has announced that he has let AJ Allmendinger go. Meaning if AJ is to come back to NASCAR Sprint Cup next year, after his recovery deal is over, he will have to find a new ride. I do understand where Roger is coming from. It would have a lot of risk to stick with AJ after failing TWO drug tests...even with the recovery program. But personally feel AJ needs all the support he can get and this will only add onto his problems. Of course most of the problems listed above were self inflicted...if NASCAR is correct. So I guess he has himself to blame for the bad choices he has made. Still feel bad and disappointed with it all. But all that is my personal opinion. Wish AJ the best in his recovery and hope to see him back on track in 2013...
  8. Too bad Roger isn't on for awhile...he is missing out on the great fact that my Cubs beat his Pirates big time yesterday. 14 -4. GO CUBS!!!!!!!!
  9. That is one EXPENSIVE tap...
  10. I can't see the video from here ... but the picture sure looks scary. Glad Matt is OK. Now I can see how he lost his point lead to Jr who finished fourth yesterday. Glad everyone is ok...sure looked scare from the photo you posted.
  11. Sorry to hear about your problems, Roger . I have come to the realization that computers and cars are both great when they work, but is very frustrating when they don't. Have had computer issues, but as of now have car issues...could really use Cooter right about now. Hope you find a GREAT computer ASAP!
  12. Hoss you cracked me up on this post...thanks for the smile. See how much you know about baseball already? And you didn't even know it...just think how much you would know if you started to watch baseball...especially the Cubs. Afterall, the Cubs are the BEST team in baseball...don't let their stats of this year and Roger fool you about that. The Cubs are NUMBER ONE team in baseball...MLB and Roger just don't know it.
  13. Thanks Hoss for the update...I am very happy to hear that Jeff had a strong car. He has had strong cars this year, just not the finishes to show for it due to outside (mainly) sources. Glad to hear he had the fastest car on the last lap and am happy with fifth place finish . . . and to see my number two driver, Jimmie Johnson won. Though if Jeff doesn't get a couple of wins between now and September, he will not make the chase. Guess that will give him time to gamble and work on how to get the championship next year. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE! Hope Joey, Matt, and Bobby were OK in that wreck. I tried looking for an article on Yahoo's NASCAR page but couldn't find one to read...NASCAR.com takes too long on my apt computer and didn't feel like waiting for it to load up, so thanks Hoss for the update. Glad to hear I didn't miss much excitement, but still hate it that I missed the Indy race. Ah well...will be watching Pocono this weekend unless something comes up...Jeff Gordon's 41st birthday is Saturday, so maybe he'll get a win for his birthday. Thanks for looking up Ragen's place for Roger. Doh me didn't even look that far or think that far. Thanks Hoss
  14. Well as I said I was unable to watch the race yesterday. Always hate missing a race, but missing a big race like Indy is all that much worse. But I guess family should come first...LOL. I really don't have a lot of info right now other than Jimmie Johnson won his fourth Indy race...to tie Jeff Gordon. It looks like Jimmie dominated the race yesterday. Here is the top ten finishes of yesterday's race: 1. Jimmie Johnson 2. Kyle Busch 3. Greg Biffle 4. Dale Earnhardt Jr 5. Jeff Gordon 6. Denny Hamlin 7. Ryan Newman 8. Martin Truex Jr 9. Brad Keselwoski 10. Tony Stewart Here is the top ten in points: 1. Dale Earnhardt Jr 2. Matt Kenseth 3. Greg Biffle 4. Jimmie Johnson 5. Denny Hamlin 6. Kevin Harvick 7. Martin Truex Jr 8. Tony Stewart 9. Brad Keselowski 10. Clint Bowyer We will be racing at Pocono next Sunday and unless something major comes up, I will be watching it. Sorry for the lack of info at the time...
  15. Sorry I haven't put up the starting line up as of now...been busy and away from the computer. In fact, I will NOT be watching the race today. It is so wrong to miss a race...but especially when NASCAR comes to INDY as they are today. Will be reading it up once I get home and will be writing my review on that. I am sorry to be a disappoint to y'all this weekend. Perhaps Gordon will win without me... Here is the first top ten starters of the race: 1. Denny Hamlin 2. Carl Edwards 3. Joey Lagano 4. Aric Almirola 5. Greg Biffle 6. Jimmie Johnson 7. Kyle Busch 8. Paul Menard (last year's Indy winner...due to gas fuelage...OVER JEFF GORDON! LOL) 9. Jeff Gordon 10. Matt Kenseth The race will start at noon EST on ESPN. Hopefully will do a better job at this next weekend...
  16. Sure the Cubs gave you one today...musta been feeling generous. But let me give you a trivia question...who won on Tuesday by 5-1 with the starting pitcher being an ex-Pirate, Paul Maholm: A. CUBS B. CUBS C. CUBS D. CUBS Could it possibly be the CUBS? LOL. GO CUBS GO!!!!!!!!
  17. Well I know little about the Olympics, but did read about the Greece woman who made the racist tweet. Can't believe people would lose their dreams over such thing...can't even believe someone in the spotlight like that would go public with that tweet. As for AJ, just read a couple other articles on YAHOO's NASCAR Page. NASCAR is not going to reveal the drug and says it is not protocol to do so...gues their obligation to go forth just goes to the team. AJ's represenative has says he was tested postive for amphetamine...which they didn't know what it was...neither do I. But people are saying it is in prescription medications as well. AJ is going forth with the program which is likely to last five months...meaning he will most likely be out for the rest of the season. Just hope AJ the best for his future and hope to see him back in a car next season...
  18. Well I don't know much about AJ other than what they show and say on race day and the such. He is so clean cut and seems like a great guy. Really hope this is some sort of a miscommunication. But AJ said when he first failed his test that he was going to give NASCAR all his medications and if I remember right, when Jeremy Mayfield lost his NASCAR ticket due to drugs, Jeff Gordon said that NASCAR required them all to give NASCAR the list of their medications that they are taking. With how Jeremy Mayfield had acted when he was caught and afterwards, I could believe he was on something. But am still having a very hard time believing that with AJ...*Sigh* Sam Hornish Jr will once again be in AJ's 22 car for the Indy race this weekend. I haven't heard officially yet if he will be there for the rest of teh time or not. Am hoping to see AJ back in NASCAR soon. Just find this extremely sad. It is always sad to see someone turn to drugs, but for someone like AJ who worked his ENTIRE life to get where he is and to waste it to drugs is just shameful. Waste his great talent for that... As I said, still don't want to believe it or can't believe it, but what else is to believe? Wish NASCAR would come forth with what they are punishing him with ... Will keep y'all updated with info if more comes forth...
  19. Well sitting here I am saddened and am in shock at the news I just heard. News that I have been waiting for a week or two now and it wasn't the news I wanted to hear. Don't mean to be over dramatic, but it is how I feel. Am dissappointed at the moment. But before I say my news, let me rewind and go over what has happened a couple of weeks ago. I know I posted it somewhere, just not in this thread... After the Kentucky race, AJ Allmindinger had failed a random drug test. Which has led to him being suspended the last couple of races. Sam Hornish Jr has been filling in and driving AJ's 22 car...Well NASCAR gave him the chance to give a "B" test, which he did today. And failed today. He failed his drug test for a stimulant...whatever that means. Which means AJ is now suspended indefinately. He will have to wait for NASCAR to give him a letter addressing what he needs to do or something of the sort and then AJ will have to agree with the letter and then will be allowed to go to the Road to Recovery program. Sam Hornish Jr will be driving AJ's car for the Indianappolis race this Sunday...though don't know if he will be in his car until or if AJ comes back or not. Hendrick will always be my favorite team of drivers, but always wished AJ the best and did like him. Am surprised that he would fail any sort of drug test...am hoping he will take action to get back on track with his life - if the tests are accurate - and back on track.
  20. You are welcome, Roger. Wish I was updating on a race this weekend...*sigh*...but I guess even they need a break. Though Jeff Gordon isn't getting much of a break. He is in Rwanda right now with Bill Clinton to open up a children's cancer facility or something like that. It is his third trip down there to help with cancer and help the people down there. With all his charities...JG must have a heart of gold. So I guess the break does benefit a lot of people, so at least it does have a cause. You're going to sponsor Jeff Gordon, Roger? Perhaps your name on his car will move him towards his first win of the season.
  21. Toby Mac is one of my favorite Christian artists...probably my second favorite after Mercy Me. Great song...love his energy.
  22. As with all of Kenny Chesney's music, I love this song and the emotion he puts into it. Kenny and Keith Urban have to be my top two favorite Country singers...followed by Tim McGraw and Toby Keith. Awesome song, great video. Then again, my opinion is a bit biased.
  23. It is an off season for the Sprint Cup Series...but the Nationwide Series will be driving at Chicagoland on Sunday. Truck series will be at Chicagoland as well, tomorrow night. Indy is the Sprint Cup race a week from Sunday...
  24. "Daddy Won't Sell the Farm" Montgomery Gentry Or perhaps we should say Uncle Jesse won't sell the farm . Another song I like...came from their first album "Tattoos and Scars". Great CD - think I liked most if not all the songs in that album.
