  1. Welcome to Hazzardnet, Southern Flo! Glad to meet another Duke fan...I am sure you will find plenty of good things to do and see and to talk about around here.
  2. I am with you one hundred percent, Roger. I was talking about when the show had originally ended back in 1985 that it would have beena little nice to have them put a closure on the show. It definately would not work now without Jesse, Boss, or Waylon. When I think of the Dukes, I too, would like to picture it as the original show with the original characters doing all that they had done on the show. I wouldn't want to change anything about the original show or the characters - to attempt to do anything now, would kinda put a damper on things I think.
  3. Thanks for the info - I bet that will be an awesome episode/show to catch that night! CSI seems pretty popular right now - I myself have never seen it - but it will be good for John to be on a popular show like that. Hope you will get to enjoy it on your birthday! Happy Early Birthday! Lucky you get to celebrate it with John !
  4. I would enjoy watching it, but then again, I'd enjoy watching anything Dukes...original Dukes that is. LOL - had to clearify that. Anyways, it would definately put a closure to the show - a sense of an ending and so on. Also give an sense that life went on for the Dukes and in Hazzard - just not exactly how it was aired on the show. It would be neat if they would have done that for the Dukes or any shows out there instead of just ending the show. Good idea.
  5. Awww don't beat yourself up over it, Lori! You can never pay too much respect or too many tributes to such a talented man as Waylon. May his soul rest in peace! He is missed greatly!
  6. Hopefully not and hopefully you are right. :)

  7. Tell me about it! LOL...I've got three stories going and they both are at a halt. Perhaps my muses are telling me it is time to give it up. . .

  8. Know how that goes. Am attempting to write Numb3rs, but don't know how to get the chapter going...in matter of fact, am having the same trouble with Dukes. ERRR LOL

  9. I am glad to hear that. Hope your muses are treating you well ;)

  10. Well if I had the money and the means, I would quit my job and work on writing full time, but then again, it is probably for the best that I am unable to quit my job and work full time at writing. LOL...I am sure I am not the best writer or would make it very far even if I attempted to do so. So I guess I'll stay with the job I've got. As for a Hazzard job...hmmm that is a good question. Be horrible working on cars or working at the Boar's Nest. Since I do work at a day care, perhaps I could open my own day care in town...Or work at the orphanage, that would be a sad but rewarding job.
  11. Hey Lori, long time no see. I hope all is going well with you!

  12. I am glad to hear that Harry was able to awaken from his coma and able to write you (MM) an update - thank-you for keeping us all updated on Harry's conditions, MM. Harry and his family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, Harry!
  13. Well I don't know exactly what my favorite funniest moments on the Dukes are...but the scene that automatically pops in my head is (I can't think of the episode off the top of my head) is Rosco chasing the boys in cirlces around the town square and hits a parked vehicle and he states that he should write the vehicle up for drunk parking. Or something to that effect (sounds funnier coming from him!) but it cracks me up everytime I see it. Or in Deputy Dukes when the boys are deputize and walk out covering their faces and climb into the back seat...and later in the episode when they are being chased and that poor farmer kept trying to get out of his truck only to have the boys and the bad guys come back at him. He finally pulls up and gets out the other side...or something like that. Just to name a couple. . .
  14. I have a quick question...for the challenges, can we use author created characters or is it to be only the show characters to be used?
  15. Harry and his family are in my thoughts and prayers in their difficult time. Hang tough, Harry.
  16. Well...I haven't been able to find the time tosit down and watch an episode in a long time, but I agree with you, Lori - that no matter how much you have seen an episode, they still make you laugh and cry.
  17. I have all seven season on DVD box sets plus the reunion movies...now if I could only find the time to watch them...
  18. Dukefan- I am sorry that you are so down right now and that things are not going your way. I know how you are feeling and I feel for you. But as I believe has been said before in this thread, please don't give up hope. (The Dukes never gave up hope. If they did, the boys would be forever in jail and Jesse would be out of a farm by Hogg's attempt to gain their land...) I hope that you will find your model of the General Lee and that one day the remaining cast will be close enough for you to travel to go see. Most of all, I hope that you will start feeling better and that things will start to get better for you.
  19. Good advice, Duke fan. Harry- You are in my thoughts and prayers. Don't ever give up your fight. I hope and pray that with the help of the Good Lord and with medicine you will find the strength to pull through this. Once again - you are in my thoughts and prayers.
  20. Well, congradulations Redneck Girl and to everyone else who was going for the Steelers to win last night. I am happy for you that your team had won for you last night. As for my favorite baseball team, it is the Chicago Cubs. I have been a big Cubs fan since I was four years old and will be until the day I die. Go Cubs!
  21. Chet- I like your pictures...you are very talented. As was stated by others so far, I wish I could draw. But I can't. LOL. Thank-you for sharing your talent, your artwork with us.
  22. Well of all my years of writing and belonging to this page, I have yet to join in on a challenge...due to my un-cooperative muses! Though lately, my muses have been unusually cooperative with me, so I will be writing a story for March's Luck Challenge. In fact, I already got the story started and have a title for it. Now only if I can keep it going. . .
  23. Well...I am not all that big into football since it is still kinda hard for me to understand the rules and all. I am more into racing and baseball...a couple more weeks until Daytona . Anyways...but since Kurt Warner is from the same state and around the area I live/grew up at, I will go for his Cardinals. (Even if it does make me the only one here to go for the Cardinals;) )
  24. (((Hugs))) I am sorry Lori that you are not having a good night. I hope that things will get better for you. I hope you enjoy your Naruto.
