  1. Back at the Boar's Nest, Garrett remains crouched down behind a large leafy bush with a mouth full of parking lot dust as the law finally drives away. After they are out of sight, Garrett stands up, spitting out the dry dust and glancing around a long moment before he steps out from under the bush. As he does so, he sees Roy's truck back out and quickly pulls up alongside of him. Garrett sighs a sigh of relief before throwing open the door and climbing in. Closing the door, he turns to Roy and says, "I thought I told you to leave." Roy shrugs. "You can even ask my ma, I've never been good at listening," he grins crazily, "I bet you're glad of that now." "If you say so," Garrett dryly responds, refusing to show any emotion. "Anyway, I stayed in my truck and waited to see when y'all would come out to see if you needed any help. But lo and behold, you took the coward's way out and hid," Roy states as they leave the parking lot, "which just left me to wait until you decided to brave enough to reappear." "I ain't no coward," Garrett hisses, "it was either go to jail, fight the law and add more charges onto their fake charges of me, or to get out of there. I chose to get out." "I know, I know. I just wanted to get a rise out of you," Roy smiles smugly and looks over at Garrett, "and it worked." "Just drive," Garrett states as he sinks down into his seat. "Where to?" Roy asks. "I don't -" Garrett starts to say before he spots the sheriff's car up ahead turning off onto another dirt road, "follow the sheriff at a distance. Don't let him spot you. He spots us, we are both going to jail." "Woo hoo a car chase!" Roy laughs crazily, "A slow car chase, but hey...it's still a car chase!" Garrett eyes him before he lights up another cigarette. "I'm glad you're excited about it," he dryly states, "I'm just hoping they'll lead us to something or somewhere seeing as how we got pulled into this mess and then left out to dry." Roy nods. "Maybe Bo and Luke kidnapped Bill and Ernie!" he says with excitement in his voice as he slowly turns where the sheriff had turned, "That's why they weren't at the Boar's Nest as we had been expecting! Ooooo they gonna be in trouble!" "So will we if we get caught," Garrett states blowing out smoke, "don't let him see us." "Ten four grumpo," Roy responds, "but what you think Bo and Luke are doing to Bill and Ernie? Poor Bill and Ernie." Garrett just rolls his eyes and stares out the window.
  2. I'm still confused. They talk about Joey Logano...I'd say most definitely him. But I don't know why he'd snitch on himself. Though it's Joey Logano, so no one really knows, I guess. LOL
  3. I am glad your wife's surgery went well. I hope she recovers well.
  4. You?

  6. Thank you Hobie. I read this on my phone and then forgot to post it on here. Pretty steep consequences, but at least they have all season to work themselves out of it. Who's the snitch though?

  8. Well race number two of the season and race number two of the season that I missed. Sorry to disappoint y'all. But it looks like a rough race for Chase Elliott, so maybe it was for the best. Starting at lap number three when Martin Truex Jr who hit Austin Dillon who collected several drivers including Chase Elliott. Of what it looks like, every time he raced towards the top ten, he'd get hit again. Sounds like an exciting race. Daniel Suerez won the Atlanta race. I'm including a link with the final results. Hopefully it shares the play by play as well on the side of the screen. I am sorry it's not very descriptive post about the race. Atlanta Motor Speedway Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR
  9. Back to NASCAR...we are racing at Chase Elliott's home track in Atlanta. Hopefully that'll bring him the luck he needs to find his way back to Victory Lane. I remember years ago when John Schneider gave the opening command there or sang the National Anthem or both. It's been awhile, but I was excited when it was him. This year's race will be Sunday at 3 ET on FOX. Also a couple of cars from Stewart - Haas Racing had parts taken for further inspection. Any penalties that may come from that will be handed out later. Here is the article. Parts confiscated from Stewart-Haas Racing's Nos. 10, 41 cars | NASCAR

  11. Thank you for the reminder, Hoss. I totally forgot about that.

  13. That commercial never gets old! He did another commercial like that to a guy who was criticizing him and that commercial and how real or fake it was. It was just as great. (You'll have to watch it on youtube by clicking on watch on youtube, I guess. LOL)
  14. Thank you, Roger. That means a lot to me. I saw a clip of Jeff Gordon walking in the infield area after the race and looking to go to Victory Lane. He looked so happy and excited. It was great to see.
  15. He retired a few years ago. He was a commentator on FOX for awhile before taking a bigger role at Hendrick Motorsports. Once Rick Hendrick retires and steps away, Jeff Gordon will take over Hendrick Motorsports.
  16. Well y'all beat me to it. I missed it as I was at work and then had my Zoom meeting after work. I am glad for the updates from y'all. I don't have access to record it. Sadly Chase didn't do it and Jimmie Johnson finished at the rear...but it was great to see the 24 car back in Victory Lane! I miss Jeff Gordon in the 24 car...always will. But Bryon is doing a great job keeping the 24 car up front.

  18. Today's Xfinity race had been postponed due to the weather and will race on Monday. Hopefully the Cup series will have better luck. Even though I won't be able to watch it either way. LOL Go Chase Go!
  19. You are right, Skipper.
  20. You are right. I am horrible at math.

  22. Well I do believe the stage has been set for the start of the 2024 Daytona 500! After forever...it's finally almost show time! Joey Logano got the pole position last weekend and they had the Duel races I believe yesterday. I missed it all, but Jimmie Johnson was able to race his way into the race while JJ Yeley will be missing the Daytona 500. Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 at DAYTONA Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Duel One results Bluegreen Vacations Duel 2 at DAYTONA Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Duel Two results DAYTONA 500 Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Daytona 500 starting line up Daytona 500 will be on February 18th at 2:30 ET on FOX. Sadly, I will miss it but will be keeping an eye on Chase Elliott as much as possible. February 18th will mark 22 years since Dale Earnhardt Sr passed away at the Daytona 500 race from a racing accident. I was never a Dale Sr fan or his aggressive style of racing, but that will be a day and race that I will probably always remember. I think that's the only race I watched that year. It rocked the NASCAR world for sure and it changed a lot of safety rules. The HANS device (The device that holds the helmet to the driver) was optional during that time (Dale Sr chose not to wear the HANS device) and it is now required that all drivers wear them. HANS device helps prevent the driver's head being thrown into the steering wheel or something like that. I remember being in school and doing a report on it after the accident. LOL (Everyone probably had no idea what I was talking about. HA)

  24. Thank you. I appreciate that. You all are the best. I had a hard day at work today and on my break they were playing a Toby Keith song and it almost made me cry. It just hits hard now that he's passed. But he's not suffering any more. He had an interview a few days or a week before he passed away saying that he was in a good spot with the Lord and it got iffy back a bit and that he was good with whatever happened. If he died or lived. It made me feel good hearing that (heard it before he passed away) but also does bring comfort knowing that he was OK with whatever happened and that he had a good relationship with the Lord like that.
