April 12, 20242 yr How come actors and actresses can do a movie with a different studio while in contract with another one? Waylon Jennings while under contract with RCA wasn't allowed to record music for any other label.
April 12, 20242 yr I just took my grandson to the new King King and Godzilla movie. I don't know how their contracts are worded but those two do whatever they want anyways.
April 12, 20242 yr I assume music and acting would be different and have different rules. IDK though. LOL. I know more about sports contracts than I do about music or acting. LOL
July 6, 20242 yr Because for the most part actors and actresses don't sign with one single studio. They sign contracts for Movies or TV shows. Back when studios where just starting in the 1910's, '20's and '30's etc... some actors and actresses did sign multi-year contracts with one studio and could not work for another unless given permission or buying out their contract. Musicians sign with one record company for a certain number of years or albums.
