Lori got up and walked to the car,"This heres Whiskey Bent calling out to Vance Duke, ya got yer ears on?" Vance went to the CB,Luke listening in, he could tell Lori was crying or going to cry, she had that scratchy dry sound in her throat. Luke kept on listening and heard Vance say he'd meet her at Dry Creek. Luke might have to go do some investigating. Vance borrowed Uncle Jesse's truck and headed out. When he arrived there he could see Lori had already been drinking. Vance walked over and shook his head,"Good way t' kill yer self." Lori sighed and looked up to him,"The way I feel.... I don't care anymore." Vance sighed and sat beside her stroking her hair. Lori leaned over against him saying,"Ya know, I can and probably am going back to prison right?" Vance nodded,"Yea all of you can." Lori looked to Vance,"You do know I still love Luke too?" Vance sighed,"Yea I do...this is about him to aint it?" Lori nodded and looked away from Vance, taking another huge drink of Jack Daniels."If you need me, ill be here, im staying away from everyone for awhile." Vance nodded and got up,"k...suit yerself, darlin...please don't do anything stupid." Lori shook her head and agreed not too. Lori looked at Cooter and yelled back,"WELL!!! IT AIN'T MY FAULT!!! I CAN'T HELP THE FACT THAT I LOVE TO RACE AND WHATNOT!!! IM A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT!!" Cooter turned around and was about to say something to her when he just shook his head and walked out slamming her door. Lori shrugged and walked in through the house grabbing her a cup of orange juice and setting down at the table seeing B.L. stand there. Lori threw the paper down and go tup, rolling her sleeves up she cussed a bluestreak at B.L. and dove ontop of her beating her brains in,"This is for hitting me....this is for pestering me....this is for, he-- whatever other reason i can think of!!" Cooter saw them and pulled Lori off B.L. immedialtey and took Lori outside."Will you two cool it for once!!!" Lori shrugged him away and found the keys to Midnight Rider and got in, and pulled away,Luther had brung it home last night and planned on bringing B.L.'s today. Cooter shook his fist in the air,"GO ON THEN!!!!! I DONT CARE!!!!" Lori sped up and headed towards her rock at Dry Creek. When she got there she'd sat on the rock and take out her guitar and play a tune, she'd always come here to take her mother's passing off her mind. She had too much in her life to deal with. Luke at the farm though was............

B.L. looked to Lori and smacked her in the back of the head, Lori glared at B.L. and knocked her down to the ground. They started fighting. Rosco broke them up about the time Uncle Jesse and Luther walked in. Uncle Jesse took Lori by the arm and said,"YOU STOP IT!!! WHEN I GIT ALL OF YOU HOME IM GONNA TAKE YA'LL TO THE WOODSHED!!!!" Lori rolled her eyes and shook her head slurring,"Yes'sir." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They all got bonded out and was taken to their cars, Lori and B.L. were forced to give their keys to Luther, who would take the cars to the garage. B.L. was cussing Lori for all she was worth. Lori didn't hand he rkeys over either, she was too drunk to know were she was. Luther jerked the keys outta her hands and Lori laughed at him. Uncle Jesse took Mark and David home, and took Bo and Luke home..... were he then beat them in the woodshed. Luther had B.L. Cooter, and Lori at the house were he then took a wooden paddle and his belt and whipped them........

Luke flew mad,"No I aint chicken!! but if ya'll get caught I aint helpin ya out this time!" Lori jerked her arm,"Whatever...I can take care of myself." Luke walked back over to Robin and hook his head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That night everyone arrived at the lake, again. Lori stood atop of her car and hollered,"HEY YA'LL LET'S GET THIS RACE STARTED!!!" Everyone shouted and yelled. Luke and Mark were going to get the Dukes and Cooter was going to get the Davenports. When they arrived to try and herd them home, lori was already racing Ernie and won again. Them two got into it and Luke and Cooter tried to break it up, they were too busy arguing with each other when the cops pulled up and said,"Alright!!! freeze it!!! ALL of ya'll is off to the hous-cow!!" Lori turned around and cussed a blue streak, Luke yelled at her,"See I told ya!!!" B.L. was snapping at Lori.........

Lori and Vance were giggling and laughing in the hallways, as Cooter and Bo and Dixie walked by. They joined them and all started laughing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At break it was the usual, Vance with Lori, Vance up against the wall, Lori leaning against him. Cooter stood beside them rolling his eyes. Em walked up to Lori and said,"I thought you were with him??" Em said pointing to Luke.Lori sighed and said,"We uhh broke up..what is it??" Em snickered,"Tonight naother race...wil you be there??" Lori smirked,"Sure...im a glutton for punishment!" Em nodded and walked off telling everyone Luke caught word of it and walked over to Lori pulling her to the side asking..........

When they arrived home to get ready for school Coy, Vance, Jeb, Bo, Daisy all looked to them and laughed! Luke had a smug look on and frowned. Jesse had dropped Mark off at his house and brung Luke home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luther got up as Dixie and Cooter were rubbing their eyes. Lori had thrown things and almost hit Cooter, Cooter yelped,"Da--!! Lori!!! I aint B.L. dont throw things at me!!!" Lori said she was sorry and went after B.L Luther stopping her. He had had enough." GIRLS!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! IF YOU SOO MUCH AS CUSS ONE WORD AT EACH OTHER ILL WHIP YOU BOTH!!!!" Lori calmed down and got ready as did the rest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When they arrived at school Vance walked with Lori in the school as always and kissed her forehead. Lori didn't know, she doesn't feel right with Vance, sure she likes him, he's definently not a good a kisser as Luke was. Luke and Robin were busy discussing Luke's inccodent. Cooter was with Bo and Dixie and Beth........

Lori sighed and looked to Cooter who was already heading towrds home, B.L. looked to Lori and smirked,"Yer in trouble!!" Lori sighed and got in heading home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the jail, They had Luke ad Mark booked and in the cells. Luke just hoped that Lori, knowing she would, would make an attempt to get them out of jail. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori walked through the doors and Luther: oh baby are you alright? *worriedly checks dixie over then looks at Lori with firey eyes after seeing Dixie is ok* LORI what in the name of heaven were you thinking when you fixed up that car for her to race!" Lori: well dang it!!! she was the one who wantd to race!!! Lori saw B.L. laughing a picked up something to throw at her. B.L. tried to dodge as it hit her, she fell over laughing sayin,"Oww!!!" Luther: she just got her license!!!!!!!!! she's not ready to be racin' and the rest of ya ain't supposed to be but as long as Rosco don't catch ya then I don't say nothin' about it. Lori: well when i got my license i was racin!! what so different bout her!! shut up B.L!!!! B.L. was still laughing at her. Lori had had enough and went after b.L. threw the house. Luther stopepd her,"LOREN DAVENPORT??!!!, HOW MUCH WHISKEY HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING??!!" Lori slurred her words abit,"A weeee bit toooo much!!" She hiccuped and snickered. Luther was so mad he snet them all to bed. Lori laid and wondered if she should break them out or not. she pondered on in it and thought............. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back at the jail.........

As the V-8 screamed down towards the lake everyone knew whos car was coming, and knew which car too. Lori and Midnight Rider was at the lake, as Lori climbed out she smirked and looked around, "which one of you suckers is gonna race me tonight??" Luke shook his head and got brave,"I will." Ernie looked to Midnight and shook his head,"In that piece of junk you drive, I definently will." Luke knew he could beat Lori and Ernie so he got cocky and go tin his car. Lori in hers and Ernie in his. Dixie was the starter and she dropepd the flag down, the three taking off. Lori was in first by a long shot and Luke in second, Ernie tagging along in last. Lori slid it into the last small curve and went across the finish line, in first. Luke got out and his mouth dropped he'd been beaten by a girl!!! and his ex at that!!! Ernie got out and humphed Lori, talking trash about her. Lori shook her head and looked to Robin whow as looking at Luke, Luke was red with embarrasment, he'd been embarrassed by his ex girlfriend at his own territory!! Lori shook her head and retorted to Luke,"That'll teach ya not to get too cocky next time, Duke." Luke had never heard her call him that before, he looked to Lori stunned and wondered if she was drunk or not. Lori had whiskey in the back of Midnight Rider, she had some Jim Beam and Jack Daniels back there, her favorites. She took a bottle out and began to drink it. She could drink a 5th of Jim Beam and still stand still. Lori parked beside of Cooter and B.L. B.L. wanted to race against Andy who was there. which she did. She challenged him and won. Ernie had saw Dixie and challeneged her, Lori looked to Ernie and said,"Watch it Ledbetter, she's new." Ernie only smirked and got in. Dixie climbed in. Lori stayed near the Rider and watched as Ernie swirved over and cause Dixie to wreck. Lori and Luke and B.L. all three got in their vehicles and raced off. Cooter had Dixie's car towed and her in his arms comforting her. Lori had swinged in front of Ernie with a wrench in her hand. She dragged Ernie out and knocked him over the head, B.L. got her licks in as did Luke. They heard sirens coming and............

Loir snickered as she saw Robin,she started to open her mouth but didn't. Luke gave Lori an evil glare, Lori threw her hands up in surrender. The game began as everyone got into formation. David, wanting to grab the girls, tackled Lori first looking into her eyes saying,"Why hello there." Vance caught on to this and it was like a 10 car pile up. Vance had managed to get David off Lori and said,"Find another one, shes taken." They all played a game of football and had a great time. The last tackle, the last point that B.L. needed to get for her team to win was destroyed by Lori tackling her and throwing the ball to Luke. B.L. drug Lori to the ground and her and Lori went fightin in a mudhole! "YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE!!!" "ITS WHAT YER SPOSE TO DO B!! GESSH!!!" "YEA BUT YOU DID IT ON PURPOSE!!" "I NEVER DONE IT!!" "DID TOO!!!" Luther and Jesse shook their heads and took the ball saying, "alright ya'll enoughs enough and ya'll played yer hearts out, lets give it up." Lori go tup and dusted herself off, Vance bringing her and B.L. a towel. B.L cussed Lori every bit of the way. Lori had to get home and get ready to leave to go to the race. She intended on beating Luke and Ernie. Lori and them left and got home, taking baths. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori did what she said she do for Dixie and fixed up a loaner for Dixie to race in, Lori intended on weaning Dixie and letting her find out the hard way just how competitive the racing world can get. it was a loaner Cooter had been saving his money on to build it himself, he allowed Lori to let Dixie drive it, but he didn't know Lori was souping it up. B.L. was out the door and gone to the lake waiting on Lori to arrive. Cooter took the wrecker, knowing someone would need it. Vance and Coy and Jeb didn't go, they had to stay with Uncle Jesse. It was late and it was time for the races, Lori got ready and walked out whistling Dixie, and got in her car throwing Dixie the keys to hers,"There ya go cousin...go easy on her now..." Lori smirked and climbed in speeding off. Dixie was yelling and she got in heading for the lake. When they arrived...........

Dixie found Lori and plopped on the hood of Midnight looking to Lori,"Howdy cousin! B.L. won't let me race her car so I wanted to know...can I race...." Lori didn't even let her finish the sentence and already gave her a firm answer,"No!!! you'll have it beat and wrecked IN the lake..I don't think soo..it's took me 9 years to get this thing runnin right and I ain't about to let my little cousin screw it up!!" B.L. heard Lori and fell over laughing, she tried to warn Dixie. Lori then looked to Dixie and said,"Look, if I fix up a oaner for ya will run in it??" Dixie smiled and said,"You'd do that? for me?" Lori nodded as she cleaned off a wrench and her hands, "Yep I sure will." Dixie nodded and bounced off to tell B.L. "HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! looks like i'll be racing gainst ya B!!! Lori is gonna fix me up a loaner!!" B.L. fell over laughing at Dixie and had hollered to Lori.. NARRATOR: see here, they have a way of communicatin in Hazzard.. B.L.:Hey Lori!!!! Lori: What??!! B.L.:Are seriously gonna fix up a loaner for our little cousin to race in??!! Lori: Ill try!! Lori could hear B.L. laughing at her a mile away. Loir just shook her head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time came for everyone to head out to the Duke farm as they all filed out. Lori and Dixie in Midnight, Cooter in his vehicle, Luther in thr wrecker, and B.L. in the Judge. When they arrived Daisy greeted them at the door. She saw B.L. and giggled, they had plans to race tonight, Daisy was gonna cheer for her tonight. Lori and Dixie climbed out as Dixie asked Lori about racing and some tips. Lori saw the glare in Luther's eyes as Lori tried to get Dixie to shut up. Vance came out and smiled to Lori. Lori cleaned up before she left the house. It'd been a month since Lori and Luke broke up, he-- it surprised Lori that Luke was with Robin this long. Lori and them walked in congregating first. Luke walked over to Lori and sighed,"Hey Lor... how...ya been??" Lori knew it took some guts to talk to yer ex and try to act as if nothing ever happened between them Lori smiled and sweetly said,"Im doing pretty good Luke, ready to have that football game sos I can beat ya." Luke sighed and smiled in relief,"Yea I can't wait to beat you, I see you still have the necklace on." Lori looked down, she hadn't had a chance to take it off or anything quiet frankly she didnt want to either. "Does it bother you??" she asked. Luke shook his head,"No it don't...Id rather you wear it." Lori nodded and they all set down to the table to eat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the meal Luther and Uncle Jesse walked out to the barn to take a seat on the fence to watch the game. It wasn't really all that much a regular football game, a barnyard football game, rough and ready kinda game.Luke was captain of his team and he chose, Bo, Lori, Cooter,and Jeb. they made B.L. captain of the other one and she chose who was left, Coy, Vance, Dasiy, and Dixie. They all started laughing and got ready.............

Lori woke up as usual, B.L. cussing her out. It was Turkey's Day today and Lori just LOVED the holidays. Dixie was coming home, and Cooter was heading home as well, Beverly and him had gone their seperate ways for awhile. Lori had already tried to go hunting this morning to kill a fresh turkey, course B.L. followed her to be nosey causing Lori to lose track of the turkey. Lori cussed B.L. all the way back to the house,"I orta shoot yer feet out from in uder ya!!!" B.L. smirked and said,"Well I wanted to see the great white hunter in action!" Lori shook her head and slammed the door in B.L.'s face,"UNCLE LUTHER!!!! I WOULD'VE HAD IT, IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR HER!!!!!" Lori pointed a finger to B.L. and took her gun and put it in the gun cabinet. B.L. shook her head and sighed,"Cooter alright? Beverly aint called him since she left for Alabam with her folks." Luther shook his head,"He's been beating himself up over it, saying he made the mistake to run off with her and get married....me or her folks not approving it and all.....said one day her and her folks just got up and left." B.L. sighed and went to pester Lori some more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Duke farm, Uncle Jesse had invited all the Davenports over to their house for Thanksgiving day dinner and a little chat. Uncle Jesse and Daisy were in the kitchen cooking, Bo, Coy, Vance, Jeb, and Luke were all outside talking bout the race that was at the lake tonight. Vance looked to Luke and warned him,"You are aware that Lori is gonna be there?" Luke sighed and nodded,"Yea I know..just try to keep yer girlfriend under control ok??" Vance took that as an offensive remark,"Watch it cousin... yer asking fer it!" Luke shrugged it off, Lori and Vance were dating and Luke and Robin were still of course dating. Bo and Beth was, Cooter was love sick from Beverly, she had left him after they had ran off to get married and decided they jumped the gun too soon. Coy had a girlfriend as did Jeb. Poor ole' B.L. though was left out all by her lonesome. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Loir had walked outside to get Midnight Rider ready for the race tonight, B.L. walked out pestering her,"Why are you working on that thing fer?" Lori sighed and felt like chuncking the wrench at B.L.,"fer the race tonight if thats alright with you!" B.L. humphed Lori and walked over to her and helped her work on the car. Yep seemed like a normal holiday here in Hazzard, or was it??

That next Morning, Luke woke up to the sight of Robin, aww what a beautiful sight. Him and Her got up and got ready. ohhh boy a great day at school, Luke thought. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When Lori got up she looked around to find her room so empty and quiet. She shook her head and looked out her frosted window, Cooter had just pulled in and Luther made a bee line dive for him. Lori quickly got up and ran to the door, as she heard Luther rip into Cooter.Lori stopped hr Uncle Luther and said,"It was my fault Uncle Luther....Cooter here had to go tow a car and he couldn't find it, I was spose to tell you he radioed me to tell you that he'd be late and it must have slipped my mind." Luther nodded, some how he didn't believe it, but some how he did. Cooter sighed and looked to Lori,"I owe ya one couisn." Lori shook her head,"Nahh dont mention it." Lori went in and took a shower hearing B.L. creep in Lori quickly threw a water everywhere on B.L. B.l. went to cussing and screaming. Lori laughed and climbed out running to her room, locking the door. B.L. kicked her door and went to change. They all ate breakfast and headed towards the bus. Lori stepped on and saw Luke and Robin and quickly glanced away before they could notice, she saw Vance and he smiled to her, patting the seat. B.L. tripped Lori again and almost caused her to fall on Luke, B.L. laughed and went on, Lori cussed her,"Da-- B!!! I swear make me fall into the wrong people there!" Luke didn't know how to take that remark, just that it did hurt him some to find Lori straying away from him. Lori sat down and got this uneasy feeling to her stomach and looked as if she'd puke everywhere. She didn't, she retained. When they arrived at school Mylinda walked over to Lori and sighed,"We heard about ya'lls break-up we're really sorry. but guess who Im datin?? rnie Ledbetter!! aww I think im inlove!!" Lori got sick and snapped at Mylinda:YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT LOVE WAS IF IT BIT YOU IN THE A--!!! SPECIALLY WITH THAT DIPSH--!!!" Mylinda couldn't believe what Lori had said to her. Bessie Lou walked over to Lori and patted her back,"Dont worry, Linda's been like that since she started datin Ernie." Lori just smiled,"Ya know something Bess, I dont think Ill ever go trick or treating with a Duke every again!" It seems that Young Lori has learned her lesson with on again off again relationships. Luke and Robin are together....again....but for how long?? Do we all know the real reason for Lori's stomach pains?? Vance and Lori a couple?? we'll find out soon enough folks, ya'll take care.

Luke sighed,"But...I have to take care of one thing though...Lori, it's gonna break her heart and it'll kill her, god knows I don't want to hurt her.." Robin nodded,"If ya need to leave you can...I'll cover for ya." Luke nodded and kissed her. He then left and got on the CB. Luther had heard it, knowing that his tone didn't sound good, he instead invited Luke over. Luke sighed and accepted. Luther told Lori and Lori looked to B.L. who sighed and patted her back,"S'alright cousin, they won't last long and you know it." Lori smirked and headed out on the porch. When she saw Luke she stood, he walked over to her and sighed,"Lor..." She had done and beat him to it,"I don't know what I was thinking Luke, when I dated you I knew what you would do,but still yet I went out with you anyways. Luke.... Here take it, I won't need it.. It'd look better on Robin anyway." Lori handed Luke the necklace and looked down choking up the words,"I..uh..I guess this is good bye." Lori didn't even let Luke speak just headed out towards the barn, crying. Luke sighed and followed her out there. Lori looked over her shoulder,"You shouldn't follow me... go after Robin, I want you to know though for you go...that I still love you and I always will." Luke walked over to her and put the necklace around her neck and smiled whispering in her ear,"I'll always love you..." He then looked to her and said,"Maybe, Lori...it just wasn't our time, least not yet anyways." Lori nodded and walked in the house, crying. B.L................... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That had to be the hardest thing that Luke ever had to do, he returned to Robin's house and...........

Lori sighed and shook her head,"Alright thanks Bo." Lori would have liked to have talked to Luke to see about things btween them. She guessed she knew were they stood and B.L. was right, it did hurt. Lori went to her bedroom and silently cried. Dixie went in and flopped on her bed looking to the necklace Lori held in her hand,"Wow cousin, were'd ya get that from?" Lori looked to her and smiled,"From Luke.... its worthless now though..his new girlfriend would like it more." Dixie looked to Lori and patted her back,"Well he musta loved ya, lookie at those diamonds in em!" Lori chuckled a little to her and looked asking,"So? what about you and Bo?" Dixie got mad at the question,"How dare you ask me bout him!!! fer as Im concerned he can jump off acliff!!!" Lori looked to her cousin who was fuming,"Ohhh so I see.. it was Beth wasn't it?" Dixie's mouth dropped open,"Is he that obvious?? how did everyone know bout him liking her?? why didn't you tell me!!" Lori fell back on her bed and laughed Dixie humphed her and walked off. and Lori,Bessie Lou, Mylinda,Wendy, and Tiffany.All girls was old enough to go to the bar now, which meant trouble stirred ahead.B.L. had plotted this from the start. She called Lori and got Lori to get all her friends together and meet them there. Lori glanced and saw Luke and Robin there but shrugged it off, Lori wasn't one who took too kindly to being the on again off again couple. She thought it was a dumb idea. Truth was, she was partial to Vance, but she loved Luke, she had intended on talking to Luther and straightenin things out tween them. She wasn't about to stay were she knew she wasn't welcome. They all went over and sat at a table laughing and giggling and whatnot. B.L. looked to Lori then to Luke and got the biggest evilest grin on her face. "Hey, Lori, whats up with you and Luke??" Lori sighed and looked down, she was wearing the necklace, she'd return it to him when she left. "Well, He's more partial to Robin, that on again off again thing, he says we aint talked much but lemme tell ya, last night in the barn..we didnt need to talk!!!" The girls started laughing and looked to Luke. Luek saw the stares and the laughs, yep..Lori was talking bout him..and probably bad too. "I guess there just aint no more love there anymore B.... is Uhhh Uncle Luther still pissed at me for uhh..you know" B.L. looked to Lori,"truth is Lor, we all miss ya, Uncle Luther walked by yer room today and even told himself he wanted ya back.... why don't ya come on home were you belong Lor?" Lori smiled and said,"You don't know how good that sounds cousin!" B.L. grinned from ear to ear, this meant she'd have her daily mornin rounds with Lori. Lori sighed and jerked the necklace off her neck tossing it to the table. B.L.'s eyes got big as she commented,"Gawww lee couisn!!! were'd you get that from??" The other girls looked to the necklace and awwwed over it,"Ehhh, Luke got it for me for my birthday...its worthless to me now...it'll come in handy more to Robin.." Lori got the big bright idea to give Luke the necklace for she left the farm. The night went on and curfew was around the corner. Luke took Robin home.............. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori had went to the farm and saw Vance standing outside waiting for her, B.L had followed Lori to talk to Luther over the phone. Vance looked to Lori and smiled,"Well hey there! have fun?" Lori smiled back and put her hair behind her ear, that meant she liked someone...she did that alot when Luke had finally asked her out. Lori said,"Yea.... I had a good time I guess." Vance nodded and gave her a small peck on the cheek for going in. B.L. gasped and looked to Lori,"You are aware you and Luke aren't officially broke up yet?" Lori shrugged,"So...look like I care??" B.L. nodded,"Well yea, cause you know its coming and you love Luke alot." Lori sighed and looked to B.L.,"Well that might be true but ohh well, I have to face it someday." Lori walked in as B.L. had went to pack her things, B.L. knew Lori was coming home. Lori made the phone call... Lori:Uncle Luther?? can I uhh come back home,now look I aint runnin no shine or nothing like that and I don't want to...I wanna help you out at the garage and things like I use to do..Uncle Luther, I'm really sorry. Luther:Well, promise me this much, when I ask you to be home will you come home at curfew? Lori:I promise anything Uncle Luther...I miss you and B.L. and Cooter and Dix. Luther agreed and they hung up. B.L. packed Lori's things into the house and helped her carry them to the car. Lori looked to Uncle Jesse and hugged him thanking him fo rthe stay. Lori started to push Daisy for who she thought it could be but figured better of it. Daisy would be loyal to Luke. And Lori would be loyal to Vance..... she had her way with words. Lori just got up and changed, then went to bed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That next morning, everyone at Robin's house had woke up and got very suspicious about Luke being there. Her father was fuming as he asked her,"What happened?" Robin looked to Luke,"Well the car broke down and Luke had to come tow us out." Her father looked to Luke who had the wrecker keys in hand. His father looked to Robin and Luke and said,"We'll carry this conversation later." With that they took off and headed for school. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vance,Coy, Bo, Daisy, and Lori all got up and got ready, Lori thought she'd wear something that'd knock the socks off any boy, and it did, Vance looked to Lori with his tongue lolled out and his eyes wide, she wore a pair of really tight jeans,her boots of course, a shiny belt, and a low cut black spaghetti strapped tank top. Vance looked to Lori and said in amazament,"Wow!!" Lori winked to him and swept past him, jasmine and vanilla floating in the air. They all headed to school. When they gto on the bus Lori sat with Vance and not Luke..seeing as Robin was with Luke. Bo had a questioning look on his face and only shook his head. Vance usually hung out with Cooter and a couple others at break, good, this was Lori's chance to spy. When first period came Luke had been trying to talk to Lori but she wouldn't budge, he walked her class, But no kisses or hugs, or holding hands. Just a simple bye, not even and I love you! By break time though, Vance and every other boy looked at Lori as she strutted down the hallway, Luke eve noticed too, he thought da--!! and smacked himself for it. Robin came by and stood with Luke,"Were's Lori??" Luke pointed in shame,"There..." Robin looked to her standing with Cooter ad Beverly and Vance, Coy, and a couple of Cooter's friends. When Lori went over and got as close as she could to Vance looking over her shoulder to Luke every now and then. Cooter couldn't help but ask,"Cousin, you've been away for awhile, mind tellin me whats going on?" Lori looked to Cooter,"Mind tellin ME whats going on?" Cooter sighed,"Yea ok so he came and got the wrecker to tow someone out late last night." Lori nodded,"Robin no doubt, ehh he's been distant from me it doesn't matter any more." Bo happened to be standing there,"Didn't seem to distant last night." Lori smacked Bo and said,"Hush now Bo!! I don't want the entire county to know!!" Cooter just shook his head. Vance put his arm around Lori, Lori made no effort to remove it either. She only got closer to him. Luke was fuming. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When it was time to go home, and they all stepped off the bus. Luke made an effort to talk to Lori this time. Lori acted so innocently when he asked,"What in the he-- is your problem and why are you doing that do you even like Vance?" Lori said as sweetly as possible,"Well Luke lets say im a girl who knows what she wants, its you that has the problem darlin..not me..... Vance is a sweet boy Luke, yea I do like him...whats wrong with that??" Luke...............

Luke answered the phone and softly spoke," Robin?? you alright??" Robin had missed Luke alot, and had wanted him back. She told him and Luke nodded, he sorta smiled to himself, but then thought of Lori. Lori sighed as she heard Luke's conversation and heard him metion something about,"I can't Im with Lori, if I knew it wouldnt hurt her I would." That was all Lori could stand, she didn't cry, she never spoke. She walked in and got her guitar, going out to the rock that was secluded to itslef. Vance had seen her go to the rock and began to wonder, Lori started singing a song that she had wrote for Luke, alot a good that did her. Vance saw her and took in all her beauty. Vance finally spoke,"Lori?? yo ok?" Lori looke dup into hs ocean gray eyes and spoke chocking up,"Im fine, Vance, its just that Robin wants to get back with Luke and Luke wants to get back with her and he wont because of me and its all screwed up Vance!!" Vance went and sat beside her, taking her into his arms,"S'ok darlin.. Im here." Those words brung Lori back into focus she glanced up to see Vance's eyes looking into hers and they kissed. When Vance broke free he said,"For 8 years I wanted to do that, Lori I wanted to tell you, you mean everything to me...I've always admired yer voice and beauty, Luke never did." Lori thought of that a lie but didn't break the moment. Luke hung up with Robin and walked back outside to onyl catch a glimpse of Lori with Vance. Lori kissed Vance again, she never felt this way for him ever, only thought of Luke, course she still loved Luke, she always would, but she shared something ,more with Vance. When Luke saw Lori and Vance walk out just smiling and laughing he got suspicious and...........

Luke went to chp more wood with Bo, Bo snickering at him. Daisy and Lori were in the house cleaning, Uncle Jesse and Jeb, and Coy, and Vance were on the back forty. Jeb, Coy, and Vance all looked to the house seeing that Lori was bringing in the laundry. Thing is, Vance Duke had always had a thing for Lori, now growing up Vance always did things to impress her, that was part of the reason him and Luke didnt get along to good. After the chores was done Lori and Luke had cleaned up a bit and walked outside setting beside each other seeing Uncle Jesse wak around the house. Luke looked to Lori who was shaking her head,"fun while it lasted..." Luke nodded in agreement seeing the wise old man come up the steps. "Alrigth you two its time we set some ground rules: 1. You still live in under MY roof 18 years or not, I dont take kindly to that foolin' around in a barn. 2. When it gets t' were you don't know when to lay off the shine OR beer, you've had too much and its time to quit. I wont allow that heavy drinkin in this house, Ive raied ya'll since you werein diapers and I be danged to me if im gonna ease up now, it'll only get harder!!!!" Uncle Jesse was furius and he headed in the house Luke looked to Lori and said.........
