I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment but..........This is fantastic! A new Chase Elliott fan. Chase's father was mentioned on the episode "Undercover Dukes" so every Dukes fan should be a Chase Elliott fan.....and he's a Georgia boy just like Bo and Luke. Chase will be around a long time so you picked the right guy. It's so good to hear from you cuz!
Well, the Christmas parties are usually just time to chat but If not many folks are interested we could forget the chatting part and just watch the Santa Claus episode while making comments.
I'm not ashamed to say I cried when Boss Rosco did his tribute to Boss Hogg who had passed on. Meadowmufn just mentioned in another thread how everybody here is like family. That is true but the actors are also like family and when one of them passes on to Hazzard Heaven it hurts like it was a real family member.
Well said cousin. Being here has been an amazing experience and always feels like family. When you get together for family reunions the only thing that everybody has in common is that they are related by blood or marriage. Here we have something better than DNA in common. We have the love of jumping an old clunker car over a creek with a corrupt but lovable sheriff behind us shouting "Hot pursuit!. I love it. I love it. Khee Khee!". I can think of nothing better or more meaningful than that to bring a bunch of people from all over the world together. Khee Khee. Thanks for making that happen MM!
I hated the reunion movies. There is no way all 3 younger Dukes would have left an old fragile Uncle Jesse alone like that. I watched them once and will never watch them again. I should add though that I understand the appeal of them to other people and would never criticize other fans for liking them. They're just not for me. In my mind Hazzard County is no different than it was 40 years ago.....thank goodness my mind thinks those movies were never made. Aren't fantasy worlds great!?
It wasn't that long ago this came up before here on the HN and Hoss showed us the thread where this was this discussed. Did you see that Monaco? (the old memory ain't what it used to be.....and the technical skills were never good). Where is that old thread from the grandson of the landowner?
Sorry to hear things haven't improved Spike. I'm very lucky to live in the woods with only one neighbor. They have been like family to me since 1979 when I bought my property at 19. I wish I could give you advice except for this.....Don't lose your temper. Your neighbor and his buddy aren't worth it. Before you know it you'll be out of there and this will all be in the past.
These are always tough to plan so we should start early. We're going to get together for a Christmas Party. We don't know if it will be in a chat room or simply posts on this thread. It will probably have to be on a weekend. Might I suggest (it's only a suggestion for now) 3:00 Eastern Standard Time. Before we start suggesting days please post here what days you would NOT be able to make it. I CAN'T make Saturday December 14. We also could consider a weeknight if the folks across the pond have a night they could stay up late.
I'm not sure about tomorrow (Dec 5) Hobie. It depends on how much snow we get. Also (it gets worse) December 12 at 6:00 is my grandson's Christmas concert. He's a senior in high school and it's his last so I can't miss it. Do you want to do Friday at 5 (EST)? Could you make that Hoss?
Let me know if you get any pictures of Flash "chasin' them possums through the woods" on that new game trail camera of yours. Or better yet, post the pictures on HazzardNet.
We're expecting a half a foot of snow tonight and it's the heavy greasy type so Cooter should be busy in the morning pulling all those cars out of the ditch.
LOL After sipping on the egg nog that I didn't realize was spiked I probably said a few things that I regretted and I'm glad it was lost. My big concern this year would be that Hobie will slip a little of his finest in that nog. Maybe I'll stick with straight buttermilk this Christmas.
