Luke jerked and yanked on the damn ropes curing a blue streak under his breath at their continued resistance. Finally though he gave a fierce yank and they split. Looking at the rope burns he determines they aren't too bad nor the cut but he would need a tetanus shot most likely because of it. "Finally" He said as he reached down and started to untie his ankles.
-
Luke shakes his head looking at Bo reassuringly "Nothin' Bo just cut my hand a little on this dang piece of metal but it's ok." Yanks on the ropes again but they still won't budge, one of the kidnappers bangs on the wall as Luke accidentally bumps it with his elbow. "HEY PLOWBOYS STOP TRYIN' TO TEAR THE PLACE DOWN" Luke looks at the door menacingly and says quietly through gritted teeth. "Ya just let me get loose and I'll show you what tearin' the place down is like."
-
Luke sighed he hated it when Bo layed those sad puppy dog eyes on him and he could see his cousin well enough in the dim light to know that was exactly the look Bo was giving him. "Ok Bo you win I'll go get help if I get the chance. But if there's time I'm takin' you with me cos no tellin' how desperate them two will get if I escape they ain't gonna take the chance of you escapin' too while they chase me." Sawing on the ropes some more Luke could feel them starting to give way. Pulling his arms apart slightly he was frustrated when the ropes didn't break away. Going back to the arduous task of of trying to saw the ropes in two on the metal, he hissed as his arm slipped causing the sharp metal to nick his arm instead of slicing another strand of the rope.
-
Luke stops his actions staring at Bo as if he had two heads. Coming back to reality he began to shake his head vigoriously. "NO way Bo I can't leave you here them yokels will kill ya and I could never forgive myself if I left ya behind and ya got killed. Not to mention I couldn't go on without ya. So no I ain't goin without ya." Started sawing on the ropes again as he finished making it clear he wasn't going to argue about it.
-
Luke shifts around trying to look behind himself to see what Bo was talking about. Seeing a small piece of jagged metal but barely he reached out with his fingertips to help guide his hands to it. Begins the laboring task of sawing the rope in-two. Stops for a second feeling the ropes they were beginning to fray but slowly. "It's working just gonna take a while"
-
Luke pulled and struggled with his ropes but to no avail they were tied too tightly. Looks around the room in desperation for something to cut the ropes on before the guys got back just something about their eyes bothered Luke he couldn't pinpoint it but they were defenitely eyes that made you wary.

B.L. sighed leaning against Jesse's other shoulder as he sat between her and Daisy on the couch. This was far different from any other time the boys had gotten into some sort of trouble ususally Boss Hogg had been behind it but this time B.L. just didn't believe he'd been involved. Luke shrugs slightly in the dim light of the room. He wasn't seriously hurt and was thankful neither was Bo. "Nah I'm alright.......just got a bruised jaw *chuckles* but it ain't the first time that's happened.*
-
Luke looks at Bo once they were left alone "You ok cousin?" B.L. pats Daisy's hand "they'll be fine" Cooter nods and adds to what B.L. and Jesse had said "I'm gonna go out looking for any signs of where they might have been took so doncha worry I'll have 'em home before ya know it." He hoped he sounded more convincing than he felt.

when you say the real sounding tone do you mean that you get music and words? I'm not sure where you can get it but my brother-in-law has one and Waylon sings the song when the phone rings. Not sure where he got it though but he has a cingular wireless phone if that helps. B.L.

Val and Brian are both right if you don't stick with it you will regret it later in life. Noone in my family has a degree some of us myself included has a college certificate in a field but not a degree. I struggled ALOT in school with math it was my worst subject but I tried my hardest and got mostly B's and C's but that was ok cos it was the best I could do. Don't let the bad ruin your enjoyment of the good cos believe it or not there are some good things about school. Just do your best and don't let others make you feel bad if it's not as well as someone else can do it's your best and they should accept that and if they don't it's their problem not yours. Just stay out of trouble and you've only got a few years left. My sis did better than I did in high school she wasn't straight A's either but where I got B's and C's in math she got A's she likes math though, but when she got in college that was a whole different ballgame and because she chose to do some things that caused her to flunk a few clasess. She got married and dropped out for a while and had to get a job making minimum wage that's when she decided the real world sucked worse if you don't get an education so she had to retake those classes when she went back to college, but now she is one semester away from being able to go from the local junior college to a 4 year college well actually the one she'll be attending is like a junior college only it's the last two years of a 4yr degree. So in two years she will have her degree in elementary education. Do what you can do enjoy the things there are to enjoy in school but you have to take the bad with the good and roll with the punches and if you do in the end you will be proud of what you accomplished. Ways to get kicked out of Chemistry Lab
B.L. Davenport replied to Val Strate's topic in Hazzard Swamp
I myself never took chemistry....I hear it's nasty stuff lol. B.L. -
ROFL, Brian you must have been every teacher's nightmare in school!!!!! My mom is a special education aide (it has a real big professional sounding title now I just can't think of it) at the highschool where I attended but I can't say as I've heard her say anything about finding squid in odd places hahahaha. If she comes home from work talking about any of those things or other things involving squid I'll know where they culprit found the idea B.L.

Ok I really don't know anything about John's kids but I'd like to respond to some things about 'water on the brain' or hydrocephilis. To Julie's post about 1978 they had a way of preventing it after birth it doesn't kill babies. I know several people who have it I myself was thought that I might have it when I was born in 1979 so the doctor's put in a shunt which if you don't know is a tube with a pump attached in the head just under the skin with tubing that drains to another area of the body because the spinal cord doesn't drain the fluid from the brain like it should. Well that's my quick lesson on hydrocephilis just thought it should be cleared up that they knew ways of 'fixing' it and immediate death from it specifically didn't happen then or now. B.L.

So did anyone watch Tom in Standoff? I did and thought he was very good as the bad guy. I wished his part had lasted a little longer it seemed to me that the other crisis situations lasted longer. B.L.

Feedback For Dukes in Double Trouble

THings returned to 'normal' on the Duke farm and in Hazzard County for those left behind. Luke raced General Lee at least twice a month but realized he had to also pick up the slack on the farm and willingly did so. A few years later Luke married a girl noone ever even thought he'd think about that way. He and B.L. we're married in the little church in town and lived on the back 40 of the Duke farm and raised a family, having 3 kids 2 boys and a girl. Daisy went back to work at the Boars Nest and her social life that had been on hold while Bo had been sick. There were hard days and then there were really hard days the hardest being that first christmas and Bo's birthday because even in adulthood he'd looked forward to both through a child's perspective. But with the helpt of their friends the remaining Dukes got through both. The pain lessened but was never quite forgotten. Daisy married Cooter another match no one ever expected. The couple lived at the Davenport farm and, had a couple of kids of their own and everything was at least mostly perfect for the two remaining cousins.

Luke let his hand fall draped over his knee smiling and whispered back to the walls of the cave if anyone had seen or heard him that is. "Love ya too little bro" Luke sat in the cave another 10 minutes before gathering himself up and getting in the General Lee driving off into the sunset toward the Duke farm. Jesse met him at the door giving his oldest a tight bear hug sensing something different in Luke than he had been hours ago. He was at peace now Jesse could feel it in his muscles and see it in his eyes. B.L. had been ready to make good on her threat to go after Luke to the point of climbing into her car as he drove up in the farm yard. Exiting her car she gave him a hug and then climbed back in the car pulling out and heading home herself it was time for the family to be alone for a while and start putting their lives back together.
-
"I won't forget.........g'bye until we meet up again some day" Luke chuckles at Bo's comment and wanting Bo to be certain he was ok shot his own parting cheeky reply. "I ain't you Bo"
-
Luke choked back a sob listening to Bo's farewell speech, looking at the hand he stuck out his own with the matching scar clasping the transparent hand. "Ya can count on that brother ya always have known everything important and not so important in my life and that ain't gonna change now. We'll still be sharing everything just like we always have just in a different way now."
-
Luke closes his eyes those words ripping the hole in him a little bigger but he now realized he wasn't the only one suffering from losing Bo and it was hurting Bo even in death to see him 'Luke' losing it like had and that was the last thing he wanted was to hurt Bo so he had to gather all his strength now and move on,help Uncle Jesse with the farm like they always had and there was still Daisy to watch out for as well. "I.....I don't want ya to go Bo but I knew ya would have to as soon as ya knew for sure I was ok, and I am I promise ya cuz on my word as a Duke I ain't gonna wallow in my grief or do somethin' stupid. It's gonna hurt for a long time not havin' ya but I'll be ok now.....I.....I love ya Bo."
