  1. I know that this is out there in another section, but I thought we could also do it here, under his name. Brotherly Love "Now you can't see the wheels spinning in Enos's head 'cause they're so tiny. But they're really humming. A Baby for the Dukes " Now, about this time Boss Hogg was having a county budget meeting with Rosco and Enos, who couldn't count a dozen eggs without taking off thier shoes.
  2. I have to agree with you that they are really good role models. I don't think the movie is though, but I really can't say, since I haven't seen the movie. Not sure if I want to. My children have though, and the two boys liked it. My daughter didn't like it. Wasn't the real thing she said. Good for her! hehehe I just bought her the Dukes of Hazzard tv show sound track. That is all she is listening to now.
  3. I was really upset when I watched the 2 reunion movies and he wasn't in them. It just didn't seem right hearing someone elses voice narrating the story. He really held the show together, and had some great lines!
  4. No kidding, but ya know what, I wish that he would call me! I miss a good 'ol boy here in the city. Watching Dukes make me miss living down south. I lived for six years in South Eastern NC, out in the boonies.
  5. I remember playing with my die cast General Lee when I was a little girl in the dirt by my apartments door. Now this christmas Santa got my little girl the General Lee, Daisy's Road Runner and Roscos car. I gave my daughter a 01 Orange General Lee T-shirt that is like five sizes too big. It was the smallest shirt that I could find. My 11 year old son loves to hoodslide across my '88 Chevey Corsica, and my 9 yr old will open the door, open the window, shut the door, and proceed to climb in the window! Hey it is an old car with no paint job to protect, so I let 'em at it! What cracks me up is that my 11 yr old's giggle when he is being tickled hard sounds just like Rosco! guh guh! I love it I love it. My 14 yr old complained yesterday after my daughter got the song "Flash" stuck in his head that it is all my fault. I smiled and said it is, You got a problem with that?? I have used the shows many times to help teach the kids right from wrong and try to point out the morals in it. A 1st generation Duke fan and mother of 2 2nd generation Duke fans (2 out of 3 kids ain't to bad!)
  6. That is a really hard question to answer. I guess I will have to say the first five episodes shot in Conyers GA. (My 9 yr old daughter told me last night after watching a Dukes episode, "That's were I want to live when I grow up." Shes a big Dukes fan) Then I love the Carnival of Thrills, The Ghost of the General Lee (my 9 yr old daughters favorite) My Son Bo Hogg ( "What's happening to my Family!?") and Happy Birthday General Lee (my 11 yr old son's favorite)
  7. Thats right how could I have forgotten that One! I still think that she should have married Enos, but then you wouldn't have gotten all those great looks from the Dukes every time a woman complained that Enos didn't call her back!
  8. That is correct. I just started watching the Dukes of Hazzard Family Tree on Season 3, disk 4 side A and he said that the cousins all come to live with Uncle Jesse because thier parents died in a car wreck.
  9. I had a mini Dukes marathon today! Yeehaww From Welcome Waylon Jennings Rosco to Boss Hogg talking about what Boss is going to do with the mesuem. "That proberly is one of the most generous selfish things you've ever done." Waylon: "Doesn't that just blow your hat in the creek." Luke to Bo as they drive past a tied up Waylon Luke: "Is that who I think it is?" Waylon: "Yes sir, them Duke boys is quick." Bo: "Yeah, it's Waylon." Waylon: "I only gave 'em one hat. That'd give 'em something to fight over." Betty Jo (the insurance lady) to Luke at the supper table, talking about the missing empty truck. Betty Jo: "Anybody ever tell you you had a very criminal mind?" Bo: "Shoot, lady, your the first person ever noticed he had a mind at all." Waylon after the real museum was stolen from under Enos's guard. "The news traveled through the Hazard Hotline quicker than a room getting dark when the light was blown out." Waylon: "If it weren't for bad luck, the Dukes wouldn't have any luck at all." Bo to Luke while Luke is checking the General out for a transmitter. Bo: "Find anything?" Luke: "About 1,000 gum wrappers and 73 cents in change, and that's mine.' Waylon during a final fight scene between Bo and Luke and the theives. "Now I would have joined in but I didn't want to hurt my hand." Waylon at the end of the episode. "It's down right tuckering being in the middle of one of these Duke things." From Daisy's Shot Gun Wedding Daisy to Bo and Luke after they insite on driving her to the Boars Nest. Daisy: "Bo, I ain't a child" Bo: "Yeah, I can see that." I really like how he said that This isn't a line, but I love the expression Luke has when Bo starts the bar fight by hitting Richard Moll's character. That expression said so much! Rosco trying to break up the fight. "Just cease and insist" "sist and sis--stop it!" "disist and--" Daisy after the fight, back at home. "I ain't in pigtails and braces any more fellas. In fact I never wore braces." Luke to Daisy hugging after making up. Luke: "Easy easy. Squeeze to hard." Bo: "Heh he's older you know. ha ha" Luke to Bo after flapping the shades while checking on Daisy. Luke: "She's gonna kill me." Bo: "Looks like something I'd have done." (and they looked good saying it in thier boxers and sleeping pants without shirts!) Waylon after the Duke boys plowed through a fence. "Them Dukes just can't resist a fence, can they?" Jesse trying to get out of the General Lee after arriving to save Daisy "Dad gum this car. It runs but you can't get out." Waylon at the end as Flash comes running to rescue Rosco and Boss from the net. (I love seeing Flash run. Such a rare sight!) "Flash chewed Boss and Rosco free. It took about two hours." Waylon at the very end, and I totally agree with this. "One thing aout a family, though/ they may get in the way sometimes, but when you really need 'em, nothing else works as good." Amen to that Waylon!
  10. First of all I only have seasons 1-3. Hopeing to get season 4 for my birthday. I love the commentaries, and the barbeque. I guess Tom couldn't make it due to his broadway schedual. I like to think that anyway. Basically anything with the original cast interacting with each other. I always catch something new it seems. It is also just fun listening to/watching them interact.
  11. Thanks alot. I am checking it out right now. It has an ask Cathy online forum.
  12. I would have to agree too. She after all worked with him for 7 years!
  13. Especially in West Virginia! (sorry if any of y'all are from WV )
  14. To bad they never made cd of all those country artists that played on the show. That would have made I bet a great county music cd, that someone who liked the Dukes, but never really was exposed to country music would buy. It would have just been like the second reunion movie, getting that cd made! lol Thanks for the list of musicians.
  15. No Problem. She was getting married in both, plus she pretended to get married in Cletus Falls in Love.
  16. Thanks for that info. When does the season 5 dvd's come out by you? They are out now here in the States.
  17. Thats the quote I was thinking of! From Welcome Waylon Jennings "Doen't that just blow your hat in the creek" Luke: "Is that who I think it is?" Waylon: "Yes sir, them boys is quick." Bo: "Yeah, its Waylon" "I only gave 'em one hat. That'd give 'em something to fight over." "The news traveled through the Hazzard Hotline quicker than a room getting dark when the light was blown out." "If it weren't for bad luck, the Dukes wuldn't have any luck at all." "Now I would have joined in but I didn't want to hurt my hand." "It's down right tuckering being in the middle of one of these Duke things." From Daisy's Shot Gun Wedding "Them Dukes just can't resist a fence, can they?" "Flash chewed Boss and Rosco free. It took about two hours." "One thing about a family, though, they may get in the way sometimes, but when you really need 'em, nothing else works as good." (Ain't that the truth! Family gotta love 'em, even when they get on your nerves!) From Brotherly Love "Now you can't see the wheels spinning in Enos's head 'cause they're so tiny. But they're really humming Hey how can I get the quotes to be easier to read?? The light blue in the blue box seems hard to read imo. thanks.
  18. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that caught that. My 9yr old swears that Cathy is right and that everyone else is wrong. Wonder who is right?
  19. I use this episode to tell my boys that this is how they are to be with their little sister. PROTECTIVE of her. Not over protective, just protective. And I use this to show my daughter how her brothers are going to be with her. Protective of her! LOL I thought it was the 5th season because Daisy mentions how ever since they got back from the NASCAR certcuit they have been smothering her. I thought that maybe there was something from an episode or so before this one that mentions why. Guilt maybe for leaving her? Thanks
  20. Does anyone know why Bo and Luke are so OVERprotective of Daisy in this episode? I don't have season 5 yet, which I assume that this episode is from.
  21. I heard on one of the commatarys from either season 2 or 3 that the General Lee was going to be named after General Robert E Lee's horse. I can't remember the name of the horse right now. I also heard on that same commatary that Gy Waldren I belive was thinking of using a Trans Am like Burt did in Smokey and the Bandit. Hmmm what do you think if the General was not named the General and if it was a Trans Am instead? It still would have been the Dukes even if it was an" Orange Gremlin " as John Schneider said once. But I still just can't imagine them using a Trans Am. Jumping in the T-Top instead of the windows?
  22. I just watched Cletus Falls in Love and I loved the line that Rosco says to Flash as the Dukes come barreling down the road with a bag of bank money in the middle of it. "I know that this is hard, but try to look alive" I love it, I love it. And I always felt bad for Rosco when ever he would take 50% of 50% of 50%. Even with my poor math skills I knew that was a baaad deal.
  23. Two comments here First is it in Cool Hand Dukes that you here John's pants rip? and Second they showed John without his shirt on an episode of Smallville and let me tell you, he still looks great shirtless!
  24. I am embarassed to ask, but who is Marion Jones? I really liked that commercial though, along with all of them. Those would be commercials that I wouldn't skip through. I hate live tv. I practically watch everything off of my dvr. Shoot I even freeze live tv for awhile just so I can skip through the annoying commercials. I can't wait until I own all of the Dukes on DVD so then I don't have to skip through the commercials on the dvr shows!
  25. It seems that he isn't the only talented person in his family. His grandsom Cam Tyler is a musican. He is part of a band called Johnny Duke & the Aces. It is a blues band. http://www.johnnydukeandtheaces.com/index.htm His daughter Janeen wrote the movie "Hot Tamale" which stars Randy Spelling, Carmen Electra, Jason Priestly, and James Best. It is in Post production now. So the talent continues in his family.
