Great Lines by The Town Folks and Villains
Iloveschnieder replied to Iloveschnieder's topic in Other Actors/The Townsfolk
Hobie was great! In Goodbye General Lee when talking to Hobie on the phone. I'm not positive if this is word for word at the moment. Boss: "Hobie are you drunk?" Hobie: "Of course" Boss: "You must have the DT's then." -
What I love about all these lines are that there are some that I just don't remember. They sure did have some great lines on the show.
-
Yeah your proberly right. In fact I know your right. Just something more to think about

I drive a Piece o crude chevy corsica, that no one wants to see a picture of! But it gets me where I'm goin' and that is all that matters.

I agree that it would have been better if Chris didn't have to try and copy Tom's character. It would have been so much better if they were aloud to be their own characters instead of being the "clones". I wonder if those in charge back then have the same retrospective feelings. I wonder it they now think, "damn, we should of allowed Chris and Bryon to be their own characters." Hmmmm y'all wonder what would have happened if Bryon and Chris were good replacements? What would have happened if they were as good or (ack) better (I know how dare I say it) than Tom and John?

That stinks, especially if you hadn't watched it yet.

Great Waylon Lines
Iloveschnieder replied to Iloveschnieder's topic in Waylon Jennings/The Balladeer
A great Waylon line about boss. -...He was as happy as a rat trapped in a corn crib, 'cause he would have to heat his way out." -
Anybody got any great lines from the towns folks or the bad guys? From "Brotherly Love" when the two bad guys are talking on the phone to each other. -Charlie: "I'll meet you at the bus station at 2." -Tex: "I lost my watch. How am I going to tell what it is Cha--" Charlie hung up on Tex. "Good-bye General Lee" When told that a car he said was red was really yellow. -Hobie: "Through my eyes they all look red."

Well I am entering this conversation a tad (six months) late, but better late than never, especially since CMT has been airing season 5 episodes this past week. I have to take Coy over Vance too. I really liked how Coy was in the Insurance Fraud episode, when he thought that he killed a man in a car accident. I really would have loved to see how it would have been played out if it were Tom and John as the actors instead of Bryon and Chris. Bryon played Coy much better than Chris played Vance. I wonder if it would have been easier for Chris if he didn't have to try and clone Tom. Bryon brought a sparkle into Coy, Chris didn't give anything to Vance.

I did cry like a baby, especially at the end. I don't want to put out any spoilers incase someone recorded it and hasn't watched it yet. Even my 11 year old son said that if he didn't fight the tears he would have been crying.

-Monkey see, Monkey do. "The Dukes Strike it Rich" Cletus sneezes in the car. -Enos: "You scared me." - "Daisy is that you or a movie star?" "Big Daddy" -"What we want to see is ya flying licence.

Ain't no way Marlowe. We're country boys. We don't use no money. We just barter our way through life. You know if you was to offer me a bushel of corn there ain't no tellin' what I might do for y'all. I love that quote! Here are a BUNCH more that I like From "Welcome Waylon Jennings" when Waylon, his assistant Betty Jo are eating dinner at the Dukes. -Betty Jo to Luke: "Anybody ever tell you you had a very criminal mind?" -Bo: "Shoot, lady, you're the first person ever noticed he had a mind at all." "Daisy's Shotgun Wedding" in the beginning when Daisy is upset that they won't let her do anything alone. -Daisy: " Bo, I ain't a child" -Bo: "Yeah, I can see that." After the bar fight back at the farm and Daisy is hugging Luke. -Luke: "Easy, eas, aqueezing to hard." -Bo: "Heh! He's older you know, ha, ha" After Luke flaps the shades when Daisy returns from a date. -Luke: "She's gonna kill me." -Bo: "Looks like something I'd have done. "Brotherly Love" When Boss and Rosco are practicing dancing. -Bo: "Y'all might not be the prettiest coup at the Hazzard ball--" -Bo and Luke: "But you sure do count good." I think when they are getting ready to shuck and jive the bad guys. -Jud: "If anything were to happen to any of you I couldn't live with myself. -Luke: "You think it would be any easier to live with myself if something happened to you?" -Bo: "Look I'm having trouble living with the bouth of you." -Daisy: "HA!" and smiles After Luke is hurt by the car. A moment of Drama -Bo: "Come on Luke, wake up!" In the hospital, more Drama. -Bo: "Luke would you wake up? Dang it Luke would you wake up? Luke Duke would you wake up?!?" "A baby for trhe Dukes" -Uncle Jesse: "Well, the good Lord looks after babies, drunkards, and fools. -Bo: "Well, Rosco must fit in there somewhere, he's alright." "Dear Dairy" After getting another ticket from Rosco. -Luke: "I could paper my room with these things." -Bo: "Our room" a bit latter. -Bo sing song: "You got more tickes than I do." "Good-bye General Lee" after loosing the archary shoot out to Luke -Bo: "Uncle Jesse, I tried."

I watched it last night. It was a very emotional show dealing with how Clark and Martha deal with John's death. Very emotional.

From Happy Birthday General Lee Driving in the tow truck with the future General Lee being towed: -Bo: "How do we get into these things?" -Luke: "Clean living I guess" -Both: "Nah!" laughing After jumping a creek for the first time: -Luke: "You OK?" -Bo: "Yeah" -Luke: "We just jumped a danged creek." -Bo: "Yeah! General Lee was always a calvery man. huh?" -Luke: "We built more into this car than just plugs and pistons I guess." -Bo: "Fighting spirit of the south. Come on cousin, we got a race to run!" -Luke: "Hang on a second. I'm gonna get the bows and arrows, 'cause I don't wanna have to do that again." I like that last part. hehehe. Don't wanna have to do that again. When shooting at the tire pf the bad guys with the bow: -Luke: "Listen you want marksmanship call Robin Hood, alright." At the end of the show being chased by Rosco and Boss: -Bo: "You know something?" -Luke: "Whats that?" -Bo: "If they went away, I think I'd miss 'em." -Luke: "He may drive better, but he ain't no smarter." She is a real big Dukes fan. I had to convince her to give the Coy and Vance episodes that were being shown on CMT this past week a chance. She didn't want to watch them because it wasn't Bo and Luke!

[quote="Bo_Duke_girl"]From the episode Swamp molly S1E6 Jesse: Now who in the world would blow up an outhouse? Bo: Well... When I went to get the duds I must've mistken them for the ones with the detenator caps (Luke notices car magazines were in the now falling debris) Luke: MY CAR MAGAZINES! Jesse: Now you boys have exactly one week to have a new one standin' ( car horn beeps) Jesse: We got company comin' Luke: 5 Years of car magazines all blown to- (groans and walks away) That is my 9 year old daughters favorite line! I think that she likes Luke the best.

My thoughts are with him.

Hmmm good question. Here is my answer, in no particular order. 1- Star Wars, Empire and Jedi 2- Indian Jones Triology 3- Forest Gump (Run Forest, run) 4- The Outsiders 5- Back to The Future Triology These are the order in which I thought of them. I am not a big movie watcher.

That is a nice looking car.

Is anyone going to watch the show tomorrow? I most likely will, since I also like the other characters. I just will be missing John.
