I don't know if Hamlin thinks he can shove though and not get paid back for it. I know it's not good, but the tension and high emotion these drivers are in while racing I'm not sure how he thinks he's not going to get paid back for it. Some racers just threaten, but never actually act on it. Other drivers bring it as soon as possible. Maybe Brad gets it from Jr? I've seen Jr get into it with other drivers on the track. They one I remember most clearly is Kyle Busch. And I think Busch whined and complained about it after the race too, after he started it. I have to wonder if Hamlin is hanging around Kyle too much. My opinion is starting to change on him. He seemed like a good driver and person at first, now I'm beginning to wonder if he's getting too big for his firesuit. And is Nascar going to talk to him about his outright threat to crash Brad? I just don't know.

I haven't had a chance to look at any articles on Nascar.com, but I have read a few on Yahoo Sports. From what I was reading this feud has been going on since maybe last year? But the feud is also halfway one-sided. Brad K says he doesn't hold a grudge and doesn't have a problem with Hamlin. From what I read Hamlin started the little shoving match this time with bumping Brad. Brad saved his car and came back to bump Hamlin. Okay, that should have been the end of it, but I read that Brad shoved Hamlin a second time and Hamlin couldn't save it then. I think the second shove was overkill on Brad's part, especially if he says he doesn't hold a grudge.

I caught bits and pieces of the Nationwide race, we had it on while we were setting up for my nephew's birthday party. I never saw who won, but I did see that Carl was leading the last time I looked. It would have been good if he could have won that series again, but second place is not bad. I guess. lol
It looks like JJ has pretty much got the Championship. What did they say, he just has to finish 26 or better? I think that is what I heard. And I think that was if Martin wins the race. It looks like he's got number four and next year he'll be competing with Gordon for the drive for five. Hopefully next year there will be more competition. I would rather Gordon get his fifth Championship first and I know you agree. lol

I heard or read people making that statement about the crew chief's before. I really don't think Knaus is a good fit for Jr though. I've heard that even he and JJ didn't mesh well together at first. I can't remember where I heard that though. It would be interesting, but I don't know how it would work. I think their personalities might clash. What do you think? Knaus and Gordon would probably be a better fit, but I'm not even sure about that. I think Jr needs a crew chief like... well maybe like Stewart's old chief Zippy. I guess he's Logano's chief now, but that might be a good combo. I'm just guessing though. I think personalities that blend well are the best combo. Jr needs a crew chief that won't let Jr walk all over him, but I don't think he needs anyone that's real uptight. Just my opinion though and what do I know? lol

You go ahead and talk about Gordon all you want to. I like Gordon, he's not my absolute favorite, but you listen to me talk about Edwards and Martin all the time. I'm sure within another couple of years you'll have me converted to Gordon as my favorite driver though. lol
I really like that ringtone too. I think I found it on Myxer.com. And I'm pretty sure it's called NASCAR Love (Let's Go Racing) if you want to go listen to it or get it. The ringtone doesn't cost anything except I think a text message and the download cost. Just thought you might want to know.

Are you ready for the second to last race?... Me neither. lol It is coming to an end way to soon! I've got some hope left, not high hopes, but some hope that Martin or Gordon pull off an awesome 1st place finish and maybe (and this is horrible of me) Johnson runs into a little bit of bad luck. I'm not going to hold my breath though. Johnson's whole team is just too good. I'll be in front of the tv though ready to see what's going to go down.

Okay, I did some reading on Nascar.com and found out that Kyle Busch's old crew chief was actually fired by the Gibbs, father and son. The article said that they fired him for lack of consistency throughout this season. In my opinion that's craziness to put that all on the crew chief. What about Kyle having all of those meltdowns and talking down his car and how bad it was. A lot of other drivers deal with that week to week, and you don't hear them screaming at their crew chief. They talk to them and try to make it better. There's the difference if you ask me. Hopefully Addington will find another team that will appreciate him. I mean, he has to be good, look at all the races Busch won last year. Well anyway, that's what I found out.

I didn't catch that part with Gordon, I must've stepped out of the room or something. I know they said Gordon had been fighting his car most of the day, but obviously he was fast enough to get the pole. I would think if you can get the pole you could probably race back onto the lead lap. The announcers on this station are so annoying. I like Rusty and Dale Jarrett as drivers and they can be funny and interesting. But good grief are they boring and annoying along with the other announcers on this station. Give me some DW and Hammond please. I need my boogity, boogity, boogity! lol I actually have a ringtone on my cell phone that is the Sheryl Crow song they play on Fox when the race first comes on. It's called Nascar Love and has DW saying his famous line. So I guess I get to hear it there, but it is just not the same. lol

Ah, so the lady singing was a joke. I've got it now. Well, they are right, it's definitely not over yet. lol
So do you know why Kyle Busch got rid of his crew chief? I hope it wasn't because he hasn't been winning every race. You can't win them all, all the time. That just seems crazy to me, getting rid of your crew chief with only three races left. Can that really help? Of course I don't know the whole story, maybe there was friction going on or something. Who knows. I guess I need to do some reading at Nascar.com and see if I can find out.

If I'm right and Kurt B and Brad K are teammates, I wonder how it's going to work. Brad K isn't really used to having teammates to work with. I mean it was almost like he was an only child when he was driving for Jr in the Nationwide Series, then he was thrown into a foster home with a whole bunch of other drivers. I could be wrong, but I don't really remember him working with Jr or Martin or Gordon or Johnson. Do you? I just wonder how long before he gets the hang of working with someone else. Or maybe it comes easy for him to do that. This is probably a non-issue, but I have random thoughts like this most of the time. lol

Oops, I think we got our wires twisted. lol When I was talking about Pat Tryson, I meant that the reporter/interviewer said that it wouldn't matter much because he (Tryson) wouldn't be there. Tryson didn't say that at all. I think he is working hard to help Kurt have the best place finishes at every race.
Speaking about Kurt Busch, isn't Brad K. his new teammate? Am I right about that? It seems like I heard or read somewhere that Kurt wasn't too happy about that at first, that there was some friction to begin with. But they said they are working through their problems and are coming to terms. Did you hear anything about that?

That is funny that we posted at the same time. And it's really funny that we were actually thinking of the same song. I was going to use Kenny Chesney's song, but then I thought I remembered using it already. I didn't want to go back through all of the posts, so I chose a different one. It just goes to show though that we are on the same wavelength. lol

Hopefully Kyle is maturing enough that he didn't let his brand new crew chief have it. It wasn't really his crew chief's fault, he kept telling Kyle to slow down and save, save, save. Plus being his first race, how is he to know what kind of mileage Kyle is getting. I'm sure he had old stats and stuff, but I would have to say each race is different. It all depends on how the car is being driven.
That reminds me of something, did you watch the interview with Kurt Busch's crew chief? I didn't catch it all, but at the end they said something along the lines that it doesn't matter much for him because he wouldn't be there next year. If I caught that correctly, it wasn't very nice. Pat Tryson just rolled his eyes a bit and moved on. I thought it was kind of rude. That is if I caught it correctly, like I said at that point I was in and out because I was trying to finish my laundry. What's your take on that?

Two races left... That's not good at all, but I'm excited to see how it all comes out. I'm hoping Martin gets a win, and I know you're hoping Gordon gets one at Phoenix. I win for either one of them would be great. I really don't think Johnson will have another bad week. It was pretty much luck (bad luck) that took him out this past race. Normally Johnson is a pretty lucky guy and stays out of trouble. I guess it finally caught up with him. I doubt it happens again, but you never know. He could get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time again.
-
Did you watch the after race interviews? I was finishing up my laundry so I missed the explanation, but I heard them playing some sort of opera music in the background during someone's interview. My mom said it was a joke about it not being over until the fat lady sings or something. Do you know anything about that? I'm just curious about what I missed.

Hey, how are you doing today? Don't worry, I'll be here to talk Nascar all winter. I doubt that the person who hit me will be caught. We really didn't get a good description so it'll be like a one in a million chance that they find them. Oh well, that's life I guess. At least I have some good friends that are willing to help me fix up my car. It's not damaged a whole lot, it's just that it happened to begin with and I didn't have any closure on it.

Part two of my friday night excitment:
So I called the state troopers to make a report. There were so many of us standing there that the trooper took me into his car to get my statement and fill out the paperwork. First time I've ever been in a cop car. When the trooper asked me if I would sit in the car with him I said only if I could sit in the front. I didn't want to sit in the back and be locked in. So then he told me that they tranport people in the front seat too. We had a little fun spotlighting my brothers and cousins who were with me though. He was trying to see my licence plate, but we thought it would be fun to freak them out a little to and spotlighted them. As far as I know the other driver was never caught though. That sucks. So that was my excitement this weekend. Life is never boring. lol

Well, I had my first experience sitting in a cop car this weekend. No, don't think anything bad about me. I was the victim, or at least my car was, of a hit and run. I was waiting to make a left turn on a small two lane highway and I guess they decided they didn't want to wait. I guess they tried to pass me on the shoulder of the road. They just misjudged the distance. From what we could figure out, their side mirror hit the back of my car (a small suv) above my taillights. Then their fender scraped my rear fender and they took out my side view mirror. They didn't even stop, they just kept right on going. It was scary, but at least no one got hurt.

I know, I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't care about going to Daytona. I think I would like to go to Vegas, as long as it wasn't too hot. Or maybe Texas, I think that would be fun too. We were talking about checking out Chicagoland the other night. We're looking for a race in the summer. Both my brother and sister in law are teachers, so they need to find a race that they won't have to miss school for. I'm not sure when the races are in Chicago, so we are going to check those out. I'm partial to Charlotte and of course Bristol though. And I do like going to Talladega also. Kansas was fun too, but it's through the school year. I guess I have some homework to do. lol
