  1. You're very welcome! I've got the date written on my calendar for season 6 too. I also agree that this forum is the best. Thanks to the moderators and all who work so hard at it!!!
  2. Food... now this is a subject that I can sink my teeth into. I love just about all food, but some of the things I refuse to eat are: Sushi (Yuck, raw fish) Corned Beef and cabbage (In honor of St. Patty's day) Brown beans Meatloaf Lasagna Liver Pickled eggs or pigs feet Shrimp These are the only things that come to mind. I'll try just about anything at least once.
  3. My prayers are with you and your grandmother. I hope everything goes well and she's back with you soon.
  4. There was also: Hoyt Axton Roy Orbison Freddie Fender Tammy Wynette I'm not sure if that's all or not, but it's all I can think of right now.
  5. I tried watching the race in Mexico City this weekend, but truthfully I was bored. I kept dozing off so I turned it off and did something else instead. The coming race should be soooo much better.
  6. They're both sexy in their own special ways, but I've gotta go with Luke.
  7. I'm kind of in the same boat as MaryAnne, most of the "famous" people that I've met are politicians. I've met Colin Powell, Ken Starr, and the president of a small country in Asia that I don't remember the name of right now. That was neat and I was on the news because of it. I sold Mickey Gilley some luggage when I worked in Branson, MO; and spoke with Mel Tillis and Andy Williams. My friends and I also swear we saw Brad Pitt in his hometown of Springfield, MO.
  8. This sounds like fun so here I go... 1. My family is the most important thing in my life. 2. I graduated college with a Bachelor's degree and I got a job that doesn't require any college, but it sure did help with the payscale. 3. I spend all day working on a computer then go home to write fanfiction on my computer while watching DOH. 4. I love going to lawn and garden tractor pulls. 5. My weekend is not complete unless I see Carl Edwards and Earnhart Jr racing around a track. 6. Mexican is my favorite kind of food. 7. I LOVE country music! It doesn't matter to me if its the old classics or the new, I love it all. 8. I like to sit in my dad's shop and watch him and my brother work on engines and other things, but I don't know anything about mechanics except changing my own oil. 9. I almost died when I was 6 years old and was in the hospital for almost a month. 10. My new office at work has a window and I catch myself looking out it constantly.
  9. I just got an email from tvshowsondvd.com. Season 6 of the DOH will be released on May 30th. No word on the bonus material yet. YeeHaw!!! Check it out! http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5066
  10. I was visiting my family a couple of weekends ago at the farm and my older brother conned me into going to Walmart with him. Being the dutiful sister I am, and also bored out of my mind, I went with him. It's about a 20 minute drive to town, Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, and we had just hit the city limits. My brother is yammering away about this and that, mostly stuff about engines and tractors, his first tractor pull of the year, etc, etc. I'm mostly looking out my window in the truck when he says something that caught my interest, I can't remember now what it was, and I turned to look at him. What do my eyes behold? A GENERAL LEE!!! It was sitting in the bay of the Midas garage. Well, being the Dukes fan that I am I immediately let out a scream. Eric jerks around to look at me like I'm nuts. What! He yells at me. I start pointing back over his shoulder and yelling General Lee, there's a General Lee! He immediately jerks his head around to look too and at the same time jerks the truck wheel. The truck starts heading for the ditch, but neither one of us notices because we're staring with stars in our eyes at the General sitting there so proudly and shining underneath the lights. Eric got the truck straightened out in time and we headed on to Walmart, despite my begging to go back and get a closer look. Eric's a Dukes fan too, but apparently not as much as I am. What a shock seeing one around my town. Anyway, I was so close but so far from getting to see the General Lee up close and personal. I know a lot of you on here have seen the General close up or have your own, but I never have so don't think I'm too crazy for going on about a little glimpse. So if anyone on here lives around the Lake of the Ozarks and had your General Lee in the Midas Garage, I just wanted to let you know that even that little glimpse made my day! Much obliged!!!
  11. I had an old Pontiac that used to die when you tried to put it into gear. It didn't matter if it was cold or not. It was an automatic so the trick was to shift it into neutral, start it, rev the engine a few times and then jam it into drive. This was quite an interesting way to go, let me tell ya.
  12. I noticed this too, of course it's kinda hard to miss when your happily staring at his rear end anyway.
  13. I can't remember the exact line and I'm not sure about the episode either. I think it's from Deputy Dukes. Waylon says something like "Those boys sure do have a pitiful grasp on reality." Like I said, I can't remember the exact line, but it never fails to crack me up.
  14. Either one is okay with me because their both great drivers. Luke is my favorite and its nice to see him get to drive, but I also like it when he shoots the bow or jumps from car to car, etc, etc.
  15. At the end of the first reunion Daisy's ex-husband showed up unexpectedly. This made her rethink her decision to marry again and the wedding was called off. Also, did anyone else notice in the Hazzard in Hollywood movie that the mad Russian was wearing the same green butterfly jacket that Rosco had in Ten Million Dollar Sheriff? I could have been mistaken, but it really looked like the same one to me.
  16. This song is now floating around my office since I sent the link to my coworkers. I can hear giggles hear and there. Thanks Brian for the laugh on this nasty, snowy day!
  17. I believe it's "Hazzard Connection" in season two.
  18. The episode 'Luke's Love Story' appears in season one. One of my favorite car chase scenes is in the episode Arrest Jesse Duke in season two. The scene where the General Lee is jacked up for extreme off roading with Luke behind the wheel trying to rescue Bo and clear the family name. It was also really fun to watch the General Lee chasing the General Lee in Double Dukes in season four. One of my favorite dramatic Bo scenes is when he's trying to get Luke to wake up in the hospital. Brotherly Love, season six. Or Carnival of Thrills in season two after Bo and Luke's fist fight and Bo is leaving the farm for good. I don't think I could pick a favorite comic scene, there are too many to pick from. I hope this helps.
  19. The whole family is coming so we're gonna have it all. Baked turkey, smoked turkey, smoked ham, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc and etc. I'm lookin forward to my mom's hickory nut pie. It's kinda like a pecan pie but sooooooo much tastier.
  20. Happy Thanksgiving ya'll! I hope everyone has a good one. I'm headin for my parents farm this afternoon and am lookin forward to a down home country Thanksgiving. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!
  21. The group hurries up to the mangled car to make sure everyone is okay and find two strange men in the front seat. Bo and Cooter check pulses and breathing while Enos rings his hands in apprehension and Bailey looks on. Seeing Cooter nod to Bo, Enos's apprehension grows. "Are they okay boys? I didn't hurt 'em too bad did I?" "They'll be fine Enos. It looks like they hit their heads when they crashed, but all of their vitals are strong. They'll be right as rain in a day or so." Bo answers. One of the men starts groaning and rolls his head toward Enos, giving him a good look of his face. "Possum on a Gum Bush! I've seen this man's face on a wanted poster for somethin'. Will ya'll help me get them over ta the jail? I'll call the Doc from there." "Sure Enos. 'Sides even if they are wanted men, Bailey might want ta file some charges hisself. They woulda run him down if'n ya hadn't of stopped 'em. Thanks for that." Bo answers getting agitated again at the thought of his son being hit by this car. He pulls one of the men out while Cooter does the same with the other one. Bo and Cooter half carry and half drag them to the jail house where Enos puts them in a cell and calls the doctor. While Enos is searching high and low for the wanted poster on the men, Cooter and Bo are still watching them closely. "Shoot fire an' save box matches! I've seen these guys before too." Cooter bursts out all of a sudden. "They was goin' inta Boss's office at the Boars Nest when I was leavin' this afternoon." Bo shakes his head and clenches his jaw at Cooter's news. "Shoulda figured Boss Hogg would be involved somehow, but I woulda never thought he'd want anyone ta git hurt in one of his schemes." Bo turns to Cooter and fills him in on Rosco trying to plant moonshine at Luke's place. "I'd better give Luke a call, he'll want ta know 'bout this." ~~~~~~~~ Luke raises his hand and gently wipes a few stray hairs from his lovely wife's face. He pauses for a moment, simply looking at this woman he'd married so many years ago thinking of how lucky he was to have her in his life. He leans down and gives her a gentle kiss and then pulls back. Seeing Anna's questioning look a slow smile spreads across his face and he gives her a wink. "Honey, you are the smartest, most beautiful woman in the whole world. I love you so much. Don't worry 'bout Jeff an' this mess, we'll get it all sorted out. I promise." He gives her another tender kiss and again pulls back. Just as Anna opens her mouth to speak, the shrill ringing of the phone interrupts them. Luke groans and dips his head to rest his forehead against hers. "Hold that thought. I'll git the phone." Luke gives her a brief hug before letting go and heading for the phone. "Duke Farm. Luke Duke speakin'." "Hey Lukas, we've got some real interestin' stuff happenin' here in town. Why don't ya come out an' join the fun." Bo's voice comes over the phone line. "What in the world are ya babblin' 'bout Bo?" "I don't wanna explain over the phone where certain ears can hear us. Jus' git on up to the jail house awright?" "Are ya in jail Bo Duke!?" Luke's voice raises in protest. "No! Jus' git over here an' I'll explain everythin'" "Is Jeff an' Jess there? They went lookin' fer ya an' Bailey a little while ago. Are they okay?" "They ain't here yet, but I'm sure their fine Luke. Now quit askin' questions an' move yer feet cousin. I'm gone." Luke looks at the dead receiver in his hand in bewilderment. "What in the world is goin' on?" He mutters to himself before replacing the phone on its base. "Honey? Is everything all right?" floats to him from the living room. "Jus' fine Anna. I've gotta run inta town fer a while. Sounds like Bo's got somethin' cookin'. I'll be back." He heads out the door and lets it slam shut behind him. Two seconds later the door swings open and admits him again. He strides into the living room and gives his wife a goodbye kiss before heading toward his truck once again. (cue anyone)
