Mira called out to Jeff to come back, but her plea's seemed to fall of deaf ears. A lone tear tracked from the corner of her blue eye and down her cheek. He doesn't believe me, she thinks to herself, I have to get him to talk to me, to believe... I know he's my son, I just know it. Maybe if I talk to those other people, the ones who think they're his parents. They have to see the truth. I will not lose more time with my boy. Mira's eyes narrow again showing steely determination. She straightens her shoulders and tightens her lips, turning on her heel and striding off to her rented mustang. She pauses only long enough to get directions from the town mechanic before racing out of town toward the Duke farm. (cue anyone)
